Highly recommend SpringHill Suites Chattanooga! The Jacuzzi, riverfront walking path, and stunning views made my trip so relaxing. It's quiet, scenic, and exactly the peaceful vibe I was looking for.

Hotel staff at the front counter were very courteous. The breakfast provided was not very appetizing, but the rooms were decent for the price. Our room had a river view, but don't open the window for fresh air, the river stinks. It's a good location, but when we visited they ran out of parking in their lot & we had to park on the street.

We came here in July 2023 while visiting Chattanooga. The check in was easy since we had booked online. Very clean hotel with handicap accessible rooms. There is a restaraunt located just outside the hotel called Stevie's which is worth visiting. Our room came with standard mini fridge, microwave, and cable tv. What we really liked was the large closet and the big shower/ bathroom. The beds were comfy and the AC cold. We would stay here again for the location and room amenities.

This hotel is on the Chattanooga River. The views are beautiful, especially if you have a room with a balcony. Their outdoor area is spectacular, there's a fire pit and corn home game. There are large wicker chairs and 2 seater chairs, all with comfortable seat pillows. If you drive about 5-10 mins towards downtown, there is a wide variety of the usual chain restaurants. There are also a couple of hometown favorites, that serve great seafood.

Beautiful location. Nice rooms w small frig and microwave. Pretty good across the board safety measures in place with booking times for pool, masks asked to be worn (not 100% enforced) , bagged breakfast being served, no housekeeping, etc. Great patio spaces and walking trails adjacent to the hotel. Beautiful river views from some rooms are worth the upgrade. Most of the staff is very conscientious and following protocols. (There seemed to be only one women at front desk who refused to wear a mask except around her neck) Restaurant was popular but only served indoors so we didn't try it. A shame with their gorgeous patio. They did offer take out you could enjoy out there. We opted to walk up to Parkway Pourhouse for great full service outdoor seating nearby.Close to downtown without being in it. Does charge $10 for parking a day- which seems a bit much with all the services you give up presently. But I guess hotels are hurting too.

The pluses: sleek spa-like suites, thoughtfully designed layout (eg, coffee not in bathroom, good desk, convenient night table outlets for charging phone), good bath product. River view. Comfy bed with generous pillows. Thorough job by housekeeping. The minuses: paying to park (injury) AND having to walk back out to your car right after check in to put a tag on your dashboard (insult). Raggedy river shore view. Very noisy from hall and neighboring rooms, sometimes from multiple directions at once. At one point I believe the people next door to me were hosting a pack of monkeys, or perhaps it was several squabbling children. Hard to tell, but they opened and slammed their doors multiple times and I think the kids held a belching contest. Minuscule bathroom vanity counter. Not recommended for business travel. Probably good for families.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was very good. Charges for parking have to go. The staff was very nice & helpful with area info. Beautiful firepit outside area. Nice hottub & pool. Pretty place, but area around old with vacant buildings.

On our first night, we went to the hotel's speakeasy to unwind after a long travel day. I told the bartender I only wanted water because I was dehydrated and not looking to drink. Later she started telling me about a new drink they were adding to the menu and said, "Let me make you a drink." I agreed, assuming she was offering it as a courtesy since I had already made it clear I wasn't drinking alcohol that night. When we got the bill, she had charged me $11 for a vodka. That set the tone for the rest of the stay: staff doing the very least to help while making it seem like they're providing excellent service. Then the AC in our first room failed and the room phone didn't work either. We were traveling with our older dog who has a heart condition and cannot tolerate heat. At 10pm, the only options offered were to pack up everything and move rooms or use a box fan. This was our 10‑year wedding anniversary trip and we had to be up early the next morning. There was zero urgency from anyone on staff to find a better solution. The next morning, maintenance told us the thermostats were locked and couldn't be fixed onsite without someone offsite helping. So we had to move rooms anyway. Again, no urgency, no help, no concern. We packed everything ourselves and moved rooms alone. The girl at the front desk was completely useless in this process as well and told us that issues with the AC on the 4th floor were well known but they booked us on that floor anyway to pad their occupancy rate, I assume to influence their online rates. Additionally the hotel is wildly understaffed. Every day we were there only one person was working and handling the front desk, room service and acting as host for the speakeasy. This is potentially fine when there are no issues but when things go wrong, one person cannot man an entire hotel. This is not only unfair to the guests, it's unfair to the staff. The staff was also dressed unprofessionally. One front desk associate was wearing blue plaid pants with chains and a concert tee. THAT is how a hotel is representing itself?? No one wore name tags either, presumably for lack of accountability. Then on checkout day, the hotel had a full power outage. The AC went out across the entire building, again dangerous for our dog. My husband went to another floor to get ice and got trapped in the stairwell because the doors locked during the outage. He and the elevator repair man were stuck banging on the door for several minutes with a housekeeper nearby who didn't bother to check. He only got out because the elevator man let my husband use his phone to callme and I had to go let them out. We then had to drag our luggage down three flights of stairs with no assistance. There was no notification to guests on what was going on, no alarms, and not one staff member helping guests bring their luggage down the stairs. At the front desk, instead of apologizing or acknowledging any of this, the staff member just asked for our room number so she could check us out when the power came back. When I asked if the hotel had generators, she shrugged and said, "Yeah I think we do." Maintenance even needed OUR help to access floors and unlock stairwell doors because they didn't have proper access during the outage. Not one person apologized. Not one person tried to make anything better. It was excuse after excuse, no urgency, no concern for safety and no sense of responsibility. This entire stay was a disaster and an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. We will never stay here again and unless you like wasting your money you probably shouldn't either.

My room was clean and very comfortable, with a small couch, table and chair. The bathroom was well kept, with plenty of space for your toiletries. However, I was given a room on the second floor that looked out onto the lobby roof and the parking garage. I expected a room with a better view given my Gold status. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, I found the internet appeared to be spotty at times. You had to reconnect every morning to the internet, which I do not recall this being required at other Hilton properties I stayed at, especially a Curio Collection hotel. In addition, you sometimes had to reconnect while in your room. One day, I went down to breakfast and although I re-checked onto the internet that morning, by the time I got downstairs, it was off again and I had to re-check in again. The parking garage on the property was free (you need to pull a ticket at first), and you get in and out with your room key. However, if you should stay passed your checkout time (like I did for lunch), when I went to use the key to leave the garage, it did not work. I had to repark, go back to the Front Desk and get the key card re-programmed. The gentleman at the Front Desk said the key card becomes nonresponsive at checkout time. I recommend the Front Desk inform its guests of this cutoff so that if you should enjoy lunch there or want to walk around the area before leaving, you are aware of this situation before you walk out to the garage and have to come back in.

My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly large, with beautiful views of the city. The staff was welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt upscale while still being relaxed and inviting. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Forge, the hotel's restaurant. If you visit, do yourself a favor and order the Honey Whipped Feta. The creamy, silky feta paired with sweet honey and served with charred baguette was absolutely delicious and one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. Between the comfortable accommodations, excellent dining options, and convenient location, The Chattanoogan is a fantastic choice whether you're visiting for business, a convention, or a weekend getaway. I'd happily stay here again.

From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!
