Fireplace in the terrace room

Just had my bridal shower in the terrace room at springside inn and it was great! Waitstaff was extremely attentive, the food was good (we did a plated lunch) and we were well taken care of. The brownies were delicious that were provided. The room is a beautiful space with lots of natural light and perfect for parties, we had 30 guests and it was spacious. The event coordinator was great to work with as well. The only downside was there was 1 single stall bathroom downstairs that was constantly occupied by the people in the other event room so guests had to go upstairs to use the other single stall bathroom as it is an old building. Overall it was a great space!

Such an iconic establishment. We have been here for many celebrations. Last night my son and I had dinner, which was a great value, presented well and very flavorful. The service here was great and always has been. Also, I was pleasantly surprised with the $5 happy hour, which applied to wine by the glass and craft beer on tap, which IMHO is unheard of. We will continue to go, as the food preparation and quality is very consistent over the years and always great service.

At Long Last knocked booth of those out of the park. The best c&b I can ever recall eating, and excellent home fries. The fries were unique to my experience. They were a generous portion of small potatoes, sliced and fried to perfection. My companions decided upon breakfast sandwiches. A ham and cheese bagel for one lady and a steak and cheese bagel for the other. Both came with scrambled eggs on the sandwich, and one lady had peppers and onions (steak) on hers. Both proclaimed their fare to be excellent. Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The staff members were very helpful. The foʻd came quickly and was served piping hot. You'll be pleased with the open layout and total cleanliness of this restaurant. If it's brunch for you, an assortment of stylized coffees and alcoholic beverages are available. The menu is e x t e n s i v e! You'll find what you want and enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere. The prices are average for the area. The Dubai chocolate latte had a wonderful pistachio flavor to it. There wasn't as much cream/ foam as most lattes that I've had, but it was still tasty. The avocado toast was a lot larger/ filling than I thought it would be. The balsamic drizzle was perfect on it and the bread was excellent. We loved the flavor of the gravy on the biscuits and gravy. Again, generous portion and the biscuits were nice and flaky. The Dutch Apple French toast was a great recommendation from the bar tender. I love the cinnamon in the bread and it was all not too sweet... definitely did not need the optional maple syrup. The ambience is fresh and light and the service was pleasant. Would love to return!

What I did know is that I preferred not to dine at a chain restaurant. Low and behold, I took a right turn and ended up Mattie Street, and to my left was a very unassuming green "house." Once I approached and read the sign, I realized it was a restaurant. The welcome sign stating that this was a farm to table establishment was all I needed to convince me to walk in. Upon entering Roseadah's, I instantly felt very comfortable. This eatery has a very laid-back, cozy vibe that I particularly enjoyed. My family and I were the only ones dining at the time, so I had the opportunity to truly soak in this lovely eatery. The ladies who assisted us were both so very wonderful. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who's also the amazing chef, and her personality alone won me over! Now, on to the food. Delicious, scratch made appetizers and entrees. I enjoyed every bite! Not only did we enjoy our meals while there, we also decided to order some food to take home for dinner. My personal favorite was their duck bacon wontons, so good! We also drooled over their freshly breaded mozzarella sticks. (we are fried cheese fanatics). When you visit, definitely do yourself a favor and order those appetizers before your main meal. If I didn't have a reason to return to Auburn, I certainly do now.

As always, it is a great environment with dining room, patio or sunroom options. Wine or beer only, and wine prices are quite reasonable. We ordered a wonderful bottle of rose, served chilled and crisp and with just the right amount of sweetness. I ordered port wine mushroom bisque, perfectly made and creamy. For an entree I had shrimp scampi, garlicky and lemony and fabulous with a plethora of Large shrimp. We had to order dessert to share since they had coconut custard pie. Out of this world.

The mixed salad was just a generic greens salad you'd find at a buffet. The crab cakes had bits of hard shell bits I've never experienced in a crab cakes. The scallops are for some reason left in a sauce in a ramekin, meaning they kept cooking, meaning these were the most overcooked, rubbery, hard to choke down scallops I've had in my life. We didn't finish our meal. What a rough experience across the board. There's much better food in town for similar price points / fine dining ambiance, this is the one bad experience of our whole trip to the lake

Perfect spot for a burger type summer…read moreSaturday dinner and perhaps a little ice cream... how ever... we my friend and I are in our late 60's so have been around the block... so I'll be brief. Initially we were ignored by all employees, waited way too long to order as they seemed to all be engaged mostly talking to one another... food: once we got it, was horrible... French fries were cold and soggy. Burger was kinda messy, the lettuce was wilted from being under a heat lamp way too long. chicken sando likewise and everything seemed out of the box (Sysco reheat house) no condiments, no napkins or service ware.. when ketchup was sought a few "packet" were offered. The staff seemed to be preoccupied with each other with no one knowing what even bad service was... tried for an ice cream... ordered a cup and a small cone... dismissed to the "other window" upon paying where a unidentified cup was sitting with no apparent service ware available. I asked for a spoon and the counter creature barked there were sooon right in "front of you". There was a container above eye level with I guess had a few spoons at the bottom but since I had forgotten my x-ray goggles, I was unable to see the two spoons... then watching a young ice cream ... ahh tech, I suppose, struggle with the soft serve machine, but she did have a roughly 1 foot high cone and soft serve combo and she was trying to secure some help with this endeavor, I asked if that would be my small twist? At which time the excited gaggle of gathered counter kids all chortled "yes... that's our small!!!" OMG what a waste of marketing effort... no one over 15 needs that much ice cream... and it was a small... I refused it and asked for a reasonable sized portion to which they, the aforementioned gaggle said you want our kiddie portion... I agreed to that size but this could have been avoided if the had some sort of size posted. Over all it was a horrible customer service experience... management has zero clue what or how a fast dining experience should be. As a side note they recently upgraded the pos and need help adapting to the system. But none of our issues were related to that... it was a series of lost opportunities to show that anyone cared about what or how they should treat a guest along with old poorly packaged food that sat way to long. Incidentally there is zero reasons to have BAD French Fries with all the superior products available I will not be back!

My hamburger was fresh and cooked well....lettuce, tomato and pickles finished the perfect flavor profile. The fries were thin, hot and crispy. The onion rings were a standout, with a beautiful crunch maybe from cornmeal in the batter. They have several sauces for dipping. The ice cream treats were prepared beautifully and were delicious. My root beer float hit the spot, milkshakes were creamy and rich, the sundaes were packed full. Service was amazing. Everyone was smiling and friendly and helpful. Everyone, including the owner Seb, worked so hard to make sure we were happy with the food and everything else.
