Worst mistake I ever made. The music in here is so loud I can't even hear myself think. I paid for food and it was never given to me. I had to ask after waiting for 10 minutes for a drink. Now I waited 10 minutes for a drink even though there were three people working behind the counter. But one of them was actually making a drink for herself instead of the customers. Then she went over to the cast register and started counting out tip money for herself and her compadres. We were trying to kill time before our flights so it wasn't a deal breaker for us! The drink menu is extensive and plenty of food options as well! The drinks are pretty affordable ranging from $5-7 and food all Less than $13. I throughly enjoyed my strabwrrry matcha latte as well as my brioche breakfast sandwich for $8! My favorite cafe in Newport! I came here every day of my visit and tried a variety of things. Excellent coffee and so many great flavors and beverage options. I loved their lavender latte and their homemade lavender lemonade. I love honey so the Queen Bee was fabulous for me. I also thoroughly enjoyed their Marblehouse Chai and their chocolate hazelnut chai. The Hibiscus Lavender iced tea was very refreshing. I really enjoyed the breakfast tacos. The cafe is small... small enough, where they do not have a restroom, but it's nicely decorated, clean, and serves very good food, aside from enjoyable coffee. The service was friendly, quick, and presented in biodegradable containers. Our items were: Avocado Toast (thick sourdough bread toasted, served with house avocado smash, goat cheese, and micro greens, topped with a fried egg, picked onion, and balsamic drizzle). Also, Wicked Good Classic (scrambled egg with white cheddar cheese on a soft brioche bun). Both of these orders were flavorful and enjoyable. My only gripe is, I wish the plastic utensils were more sturdy. Cutting my Avocado Toast was not pleasant. However, it tasted amazing and I highly recommend it. read more

I love to go to different coffee shops and try their chai since they all have different flavor. I had heard good things about kaffeology and I had a few minutes so I gave them a try and was fairly disappointed. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk, my usual. Price was okay and not the worst I've gotten. The chai was a powder in the drink and was not fully mixed when I was given my order, resulting in chunks at the bottom. The flavor was lackluster and a bit chalky even after I fully mixed everything. Over all, it was an okay chai latte but nothing too impressive. Ambiance was clean and hip. read more

Loved it! Got here right before the Sunday morning rush. The creme brulee latte was amazing, I got a hot and my mom got an iced - both were perfect! I also got a maple sausage egg sandwich and switched it up to a brioche bun which was so soft and the perfect substitution. I'm a sucker for chai tea so you imagine my joy when I went here and saw that they had so many varieties of chai teas. Vanilla chai, hazelnut chocolate chai, marble house chai-- I didn't even know these varieties could exist haha PLUS they had so many other drinks that sounded so good (like strawberry milk matcha) that it was seriously a struggle figuring out what to order. If only I had multiple stomachs to try them all! I finally opted for the chocolate hazelnut chai because I never heard of it before and it did not disappoint! So creamy--it was like a warm hug in a coffee cup. My friends ordered the white mocha and Milky Way and they both said their drinks were really good. When in Newport, forget Starbucks. Head over to Kaffeology instead. This small coffee shop/breakfast shop on Thames street is a must! You will not regret it. Pictured is the coconut cream cold brew and the salted caramel cream cold brew. Both were great in my opinion. I am so glad I don't have to make a separate coffee run. For breakfast, I shared the avocado toast with a side of smoked salmon with my son. And although this can get messy with the balsamic vinaigrette, it was delicious! My husband had the Signature Breakfast Sandwich. This was also delicious as well. I also ordered a ham and cheese sandwich for my daughter (not pictured here). No croissants available today. There is street parking and there is $10 parking across the street for those who would like to park 12 hours and explore Thames Street in Newport. We were in town for a wedding in Newport and came across Kaffeology while exploring downtown. We loved this place so much that we came two days in a row! On the first day, we got both food and drinks. I got the Granola Bowl which was a large serving size of yogurt, granola, and fruit for only $7.50. My friend got the Breakfast BLT and said it was delicious! We liked that they had actual breakfast food instead of just pastries. In terms of the drinks, I knew they had some good options when I saw a whole section of their menu was devoted to specialty lattes--my favorite! I went with the Lavender Latte served hot. It was the perfect amount of lavender taste without being too overpowering or sweet. My friend got a Vietnamese Iced Coffee which is made with condensed milk. She said it was one of the best versions of this drink that she has ever had! We went to a different coffee shop the next day to try something new and my friend did not like her drink at all. The solution? Come back to Kaffeology again! :P She got the same drinks as the first day. I went with one of their seasonal specials which was a Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte served iced! It was served with little pieces of the cereal on top which was an added bonus. I loved the cinnamon flavor mixed with the coffee, another win for a latte two days in a row. They have some teas on draft which is cool, my husband got the hibiscus one and said it was alright; a little too strong on the hibiscus for his liking. Service was quick. Parking was easy, we did street parking right across from the entrance. The interior has really cute decorations, plants, and wall art. The inside of their shop is a little small with only 3 tables for indoor seating. There is also no public bathroom. Came with one and we ordered the Mocha and Hibiscus Tea. Both were amazing, the Mocha, which I ordered, was one of the best Mochas I had. It's probably mostly due to the high quality ingredients, but they really know how to make their drinks here. I thought it was because it was just busy but in reality, it was WAY understaffed...only one person working behind the counter. The inside was cute and trendy but not a lot of room. I didn't care for the menus on the clipboards as you walk in. Too small to read and hard to take off the wall to read with so many people in line. Might be better to put a QR code somewhere since everyone is waiting so long and looking at their phones in line. I got a macchiato and a brownie. Both were very good but I'm not sure I would wait in line that long again. Just wish there were more seats while waiting or more people working to get through the line quicker. read more
