There was one server and 2 in the back, so our waitress was busy. She did well, on service, though not overly attentive, but she was spread thin and we didn't suffer at all from a lack of attention. Menu was just the right size for size of the place and staff with Burgers, Sandwiches, Steak, and Pastas. Wife and I shared 3 items, French Onion Soup, Wedge Salad, and the Bacon Bison Burger with homemade chips. The burger was outstanding for $14, cooked right and flavorful, and the chips were a pleasant surprise. The Wedge , $13, was ample and tasty, though the very top of wedge had to be discarded and was obviously wilted. I'll state here, I fully understand Valley County should be graded on a slight curve, and lettuce is a tough one, but I'm sure cook noticed when cutting. Rest of lettuce was good. Rest of salad was also. Lastly the French Onion Soup was not great. Basically the onions were not cooked long and slow enough to develop flavor, heck they were firm. We will be eating here again, as the food and service overall was good and the location is nice and awful convenient. Prices was inline with what you get and for Valley County. Service was good, but I'm sure it could be a bit better with an extra server on busy nights, so they can have more time. I was surprised to see no real info on hotel site regarding restaurant or a link on their website so I'm not sure how many people know this is available while visiting Cascade.

To our mistake we went to their original location which was not open for walk ins last night. With some quick directions we went to the newer larger location that is located right on the water. Inside very nice and clean with a newly remodeled feel to the place. Our super friendly hostess apologized for the mid-step and sat us at our table. During the day the views would be outstanding because overlooks beautiful Payette lake, but the snow covered patio was also a nice backdrop. Before I go further I will say that the hostess might've been one of the most friendliest people I have encountered. She walked us through the menu and a few recommendations along with the new theme and vision of the restaurant/ wine bistro bar. After a short wait our waitress came over and also was super friendly and made this whole experience extra special. For food we started off with the baked brie and apples. Whole not the best presentation the states were amazing and really enjoyed it. For dinner I had the New York steak with grilled veggies and onion rings. My wife had the beef shank with creamy mushroom and truffle pasta. Both of these dishes were absolutely delicious. My steak could've been seasoned a little better but it was cooked perfectly and the chimichuri on the side was perfect. While I already had too much to eat my wife's dinner looked and smelled so good I had to have a bite. Wow!! And Wow!! So delicious and the star for sure being the shank but the mixed mushrooms were amazing! We loved our experience and the service was 100 stars ! I would for sure be back to try more of their menu. Mom always gets the patty melt and dad gets the holy cow. I got the black and blue and my husband got the custom burger. Everything was cooked correctly and we all devoured it. I also made sure that w did the deep fried mushrooms. Yum yum. Thy even had my husband's favorite beer, Irish Death, which not many places have. You can get beer, wine and pre mixed drinks along with Pepsi products, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk tea, root beer and pink lemonade. They are not lacking in variety on both the food and drink categories. Would love to come back.

The Patty Melt was excellent on a very good marble rye. Also their French fries we very good and crispy. Service was excellent from immediately taken our drink orders when we were seated to checking on us several times during our dinner.
