Greetings, I was supposed to just do a survey but I'm not so good at tech, so found myself here. I travel for work and go to many grocery stores around the country, and since coming to Cali I've been to several Sprouts all excellently presented, staffed, and priced - but as the kids say, I absolutely love "the vibe" as well as the service, and apparent closeness of literally all the Staff at this store. Katelyn, Bill, Maria, Maritza, Zoe, Jason, Marlene, Allen, Alex, Faith, Todd, Johnathan, JoJo, Stephanie, Elizabeth, and of course DJ Greg are just a few off the top - and I do not exagerrate in saying that all of them have the social skills and smile to be store leaders (even if they're personally chillin'). Manager BILL BREWER needs a raise!!! This review is a bit overdue. About a month ago or so I had an issue at my local Sprouts in South County, not this one on Harbor Blvd. I contacted Sprouts customer service which routed me to a noisy warehouse call center where I could barely hear or understand what the customer service agent was saying to me. Honestly, I feel bad for these customer service agents that have to work in these conditions, how can they even keep their thoughts straight when they have 100 other people speaking all at the same time in the same area. I digress. So I get a call back from a Sprouts manager to discuss what had happened. I won't bore you with the details of what had happened, but it was one issue after another that day. As it turned out , for some reason Bill the manager at the Harbor Blvd Costa Mesa location was given my complaint & contact information instead of the manager at the Sprouts where I usually shop and had the issues at. Instead of passing the buck with the typical ," Not my store, not my problem" , which honestly he had every right to do, Bill continued the call with me. Bill was very patient and didn't try to rush me or cut me off and shut me up despite it not even being his store issue. He was so friendly but not in a saccharine sort of way. He also didn't talk poorly about the store or employees that I'd had the issue with. Bill is a positive & proactive person that wants to make things right. I didn't have to ask for anything ,he offered on his own. Not only that, he'd called me back after our initial call to let me know who to ask for when I went back to my local store. Bill went above and beyond when he didn't have to. It really helped to shake off the inconvenience of all the things that'd happened at my local store and then having to deal with the noisy & hard to understand customer service agent center. I wish I lived closer to the Sprouts Bill manages because if the store is anything like he is , what a superb shopping experience that would be! I bought a sandwich and they put the meat on there as if they just took it out from the container and like didn't even open the meat up. It was giving like they did not care at all and it ruined my whole mood. Maybe try putting more effort into making a sandwich which can't be that hard. Stopped by Sprouts and the staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in. :) Shout out to the Bill, the GM, he is the best! You can really tell he cares about the customers, staff, and the store. The store is always clean and well-organized, and they have the freshest fruit and veggies plus all the right snacks --- whether you're looking for soemthing healthy or a treat, they've got you covered. Heads up: It's located in a busy shopping center with lots of go-to stores, so parking can take a little time to find. But the great service, cleanliness, and selection make it totally worth it ! I can't believe the prices on a lot of the items here in the store are way overpriced compare to other stores. Example the Bread like Killer Dave's bread is almost $9.00 a loaf and it's not even fresh. Make sure you Check the date if you shop here. It was 2 days before the expiration date. It is so cheap to make a loaf of bread and I understand the overhead cost but still. Used to be a little over $5. A loaf and now I can't even afford to buy a loaf of bread that I like. I found the same bread and larger at Sam's Club and cost me $4.99. I'll never shop at Sprouts again. Save your $ and go to another market. read more

I tried to tell an employee about a sign stating a sale price that was confusing. I Just wanted to tell them from a customer's perspective in case they'd like to improve the wording. He (Jonathan) was rude and dismissive and said what sounded like "take us to court " and walked away. Thankfully a manager saw my jaw drop and walked up to see if everything was ok. He rushed back over and corrected himself saying "I said take us to CORPORATE" then walked off again. The manager was nice and said yes that was very rude. I left. I hope Jonathan took a break and is having a better day. Yikes! read more

ZERO STARS if I could. This review is LONG overdue. I've been shopping at Sprouts for years -- always with receipts, always respectful, and always spending good money to support this store. But today? I've never been more disrespected, gaslit, and accused in my LIFE. Manager Eric at the Costa Mesa location decided to take it upon himself to accuse me and my mother of abusing the return policy since NOVEMBER. First of all, I wasn't even shopping in-store during that time -- I was hospitalized recovering from a traumatic incident. Eric didn't care. He doubled down, claiming he "remembered us from Thanksgiving." Sir, do you know how problematic it is to mistake one Black woman for another and make blanket accusations without proof? Not only did he refuse to look up the item with the card I originally paid with (which is standard practice), he made vague comments about "getting in trouble" for helping me, despite me having proof of purchase. When I went to retrieve the very receipt he doubted I had -- surprise -- I found it. So all that drama was unnecessary and aggressive. Let's be clear: the real problem wasn't the return -- it was the energy, the tone, and the prejudice. It's the way he spoke down to my mother. It's the way he tried to tie us to some pattern of abuse without checking facts. This wasn't just about a receipt. This was about power-tripping and profiling. I've spoken with corporate and the district manager. I've filed a police report just to create a paper trail, because I REFUSE to be painted as a thief when I've done nothing wrong. So if you're a person of color shopping at this location, watch how you're treated. Eric, I hope you read this -- and next time, check your facts before you try to check somebody. read more

Don't get me wrong I love sprouts but I was unhappy with the organic red grapes I bought yesterday. I expect better from sprouts I paid $8.62 but the grapes were a disappointment . They were mushy and they had like white looking mold on them. I had to throw them out. But their overall service is great. read more

I love my local Sprouts! I know every Sprouts market is wonderful, but the Costa Mesa Harbor Blvd location is truly the BEST because of the phenomenal staff who run it and work there. I'm at this store 1-2 times a week for staples from produce to their pasture raised eggs. Dave the produce manager always looks out to stock my favorite coffee creamer. He'll go the second mile to make sure I have a case of it! I appreciate the lovely ladies who greet me so warmly at the check out station. Maritza and Jessika are AWESOME! They're so helpful, friendly, kind, thoughtful and warmhearted. The last few check outs Maritza was extra sweet. It's the little things! I always feel better leaving the store for the little but meaningful convos that happen as I check out. The other day I needed help and Marley noticed me, asked me how she could help before I could ask and then got the person I needed to speak with in dairy! Anticipating and meeting my needs is next level service! I could mention JoJo who's brought my groceries to the car so many times and the head cashier dude who's also very kind. Don't know his name but I see him work! I feel bad for not knowing all their names because I see them so often. Legit, everyone who works there is sooo amazing. My comment is for the Deli area. Love a good sandwich from the deli that you can customize. Love to get this when I'm on the go, looking for a quick meal. It's fresh, quality food, and reasonably affordable. The downsize is sometimes they do mess up on your sandwich even though you fill out the form.. I go frequently so I am at the point of just looking to see who is working in the deli and if I see someone that messes up on my order I choose to not get it and get something else. Just wish all workers were consistent on sandwich making. All friendly overall, just consistency would be the downfall. Overall solid place with good varieties. read more
