    Pork belly sandwich

Really wasn't expecting too much but I thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly sandwich zirconia got. I especially liked the slaw which was really refreshing with the slight hints of mint.

Stopped in this evening for an amazing meal. We made reservations ahead of time as we are from out of town and have little patience for waiting. This is a very quaint sized restaurant but guessing from what I could tell if the weather were better it has the ability to also serve on their patio. Now to the experience. From when I called to make the reservation I could feel some energy and pride in their service. The experience when we ultimately made it there lived up to the hype. I had the chicken herb thigh with a side of mac'n'cheese and my wife had the pot pie. It was all just perfect. As a sucker for homemade bread I also had the focaccia bread. It was.a good serving and the crust was executed 10/10. The bread in my opinion was perfect. My wife was more of a fan of the donuts but that has always been our preferences. Our waitress was very attentive. This was home cooked meal perfection.

Loved sitting outside! (I think it's cuter out there) The service is pretty slow, but the staff are nice. Their salmon bowl is one of my favorite meals in all of Santa Barbara; it's so flavorful, filling, and fresh. One thing to note is that portion sizes vary a lot depending on what you order. For example, the salmon with a side of soup isn't much food, especially for the price. That said, the quality of the food is always excellent. I'd recommend not coming super hungry or in a rush, but when the food does arrive, it's guaranteed to be good.

    Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich- meh

Bossie's is a cute space. Parking was easy and so was ordering. Employees were uber friendly! I ordered the Korean fried chicken sandwich and fries. Unfortunately, the fried chicken sandwich just tasted like fried chicken with Guchujang sauce that you could get at Ralphs. It just doesn't seem like a lot of thought was put into the chicken. Rather it was just dressed at the very end with the sauce. It had a nice slaw but could've used an extra element like pickles or pickled jalapeños to finish it off. Also, the fries had an interesting flavor but were soggy. The donuts looked good and they have many other items on their menu that might be good.

The donuts here are heaven on earth. It's almost insulting to call them donuts - they are truly a different level . The strawberry jasmine was DIVINE. Fluffy, balanced, delicious. We got the Korean friend chicken sandwich, and pork belly sandwich. Both were delicious. The slaw spills out doubling as a salad. The Korean fried chicken was a little heavy on the gojuchang sauce - be ready for some heat! My preference of the two was the pork belly. Perfectly looks with a Fresh slaw with a bit of mint Truffle fries: good but not needed. They were large rustic cut. The large order can feed about 4 ppl. If you're a party of 2, order the small Staff is very nice. Vibe is cute and casual. 10/10 highly recommend

We did the sunset sip which their wine offering was great. All their white, red as well as rose and bubbles were great. Rich bold and full of notes. The place is perfect as it located right in the heart of town. Just minutes from the pier and part of the hotel. So people watching is great. They also serve food which comes from the restaurant next door. A snack with your tasting or a pairing. Each visit has always been great. A nice relaxing and mellow tasting experience. Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. Still so much on their menu to enjoy.

It was chilly so she tried to light the heat lamp at my request but both that one and the replacement did not work. The replacement actually had the propane disconnected so I assume someone knew that tank needed to be changed out but didn't do it. The other tables from the large party were full of wine glasses and a half eaten pizza. Those sat there for over an hour, and we watched several groups of people come but leave without being seated because no server was available yo seat them and the only open table hadn't been cleared. When it was finally cleared, one guest at a near by table commented that the pizza shouldn't go to waste. The girl who cleared the table initially carried it inside but came right back out with it and served it to that guest whose kid ate it. I'm all for not wasting food and if the guest had gotten up and grabbed the pizza himself, that would be one thing... but to serve old food that had been sitting out for a long time to a guest is a no no for a business. We otherwise enjoyed most of the wines in our tasting flight. Would've given 5 stars if service had been more timely, tables cleared and old food not served up.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

Thankfully, Cory stepped in and was welcoming, professional, and kind enough to offer us samples of the wines we were interested in trying. What was completely unacceptable, however, was Amanda making comments like, "the owner doesn't even like you." This was both inappropriate and unprofessional, especially considering I do not know the owner and the owner does not know me. There was absolutely no reason for such a disrespectful remark. And that is just ONE example of remarks she made to my friend and I. She also talked down on a stutter that I have, just inappropriate!!
