I ate my meal, I forgot to take a photo! But this was the dessert, a yummy mousse and fresh cookie!

OMG! Everything was so delicious, I highly recommend this wonderful Bodega! I had the turkey avo sandwiches ch on focaccia bread, so good and fresh!

Really appreciated them making my sandwich to go when this is a sit down place. The sandwich was pretty solid.

    Pork belly sandwich. Yuuuuummmm!

This is my second time back and I ordered the recommended pork belly sandwich again cause it was so delicious and the service along with the espresso while waiting is definitely worth writing another report. The restaurant inside is very beautiful and a lot of Culture along with tasty treats for the holidays as gifts.

Delicious hot sandwiches- we ordered the pork belly and serving was big. It can be shared . Eva is so nice and attentive . My son said Isaac beer was good. They also have a store where you can buy Italian grocery food items. We were seated in the patio area and it was a beautiful day to be out. They offer outdoor heating if needed. Definitely will come back next time when I am in the area .

Great food, vine and beer. We had marinated olives (olive Della casa) mare chiaro pizza, eggplant (parm affair), chicken sandwich (testa di rapa), lasagneta Ferraris. Vine was Nero d'Avola. Everything was exquisite. Service is like you are only customer. Very personal.

My boyfriend had the best homemade lasagna here he loved it. My veggie sandwich was too salty. The salad was fresh. There's not enough vegan options for me. It was a one woman show. Our waitress was amazing and so sweet. She was handling 6 tables by herself.

I love the food!! So tasty I'll def come back again. The outdoor patio has a casual vibe, and it's lovely to hear ppl's chats abt how much they enjoyed this place. The server was also super sweet! She even gave me a piece of free chocolate cookie afterwards

The Boca Rossa was so sub par and I've had many good ones before.

This mediocre sandwich was $19...the lady was super rude too. Skip this place it isn't worth it.

10/10 recommend Service is always incredible and the food is great!! I always get a focaccia sandwich and a sweet treat As close to Italy as you can get in SB

    Hi! Maria porchetta
    Diana L.

Ooohhhh the sandwiches are mouthwatering delicious. My mouth is salivating just as I write and think about those sandwiches. Located on Victoria, a mini escape to Italy where you can take some supplies home and eat lunch and have a cocktail or coffee or both. The hi Maria porchetta has tender pork belly with each bite never missing a beat of flavor. They have a variety of artisanal Italian beers to choose from as well as cocktails. The appetizers are generous portion. The ollieve de la casa is basically olives with garlic that you can spread on toasted bread. I recommend adding the spicy oil. Overall the ambiance is nice- outside seating mainly, and the service is friendly. Just be patient as usually it is only one person taking the orders and bringing the food to the table.

    Betto salad

Reminded me of home. We shared the Capocollo sandwich and the Betto salad. It was true and authentic and the flavours were *chefs kiss!* Service was absolutely amazing and the setting was quiet, cute and secluded but close. We will be going back.

    Menu

Absolutely deeeeeeeelish. I went during a lunch rush and opted for takeout and while I was sitting waiting for my food the woman working reminded me of an auntie or something the way she fussed over my standing and demanded I take a seat and relax while I waited (I was waiting against the wall). It made me chuckle. I got a sandwich and those crispy potatoes. The sandwich was next level. So fresh and delicious and clean and to the point! The potatoes were okay, honestly it was my mistake getting crispy potato's to go and letting them sit in the container to get a little soft on the drive home. They are definitely made to be eaten there as soon as they come out of the kitchen but truly the sandwich was so great. I wanted to go again before I left town and didn't have time but would seriously consider the 4 hour drive back to SB just to get one and have a quick overnight trip.

Hi, Maria! Porchetta. Yes, that is its name
    Jenn W.

Two visits here and my review hasn't changed. I'd definitely come back for no frills Italian food and you can enjoy it on the patio while watching the world go by. Location: On State Street that had pedestrian only traffic allowed. Parking are in nearby streets or parking lots located behind the buildings (first 75 inutes are free). Food: The Valtellina was a bit on the salty side, but tasty and filling. The arancini is pork meat surround by potato, shaped into a cone and fried. Iliked this one and wish I had gotten more than 2. The Hi! Maria Porchetta sandwhich was porky, fatty and oh-so delicious. Definitely one to get again. Summary: This is a low key cafe like place located in a patio-like setting on State Street. Although the same owners as the other Olio's located around it, this one is casual and not pretentious. The food here is awesome and the store inside is like stepping into an Italian local market store in a small town in Italy. You can get your food to go or you can sit and eat in the patio right in front of the shop. Been here twice and can't agree with the 1 star review. Service was attentive, polite and personable. Both times I've received excellent service. Happy eating!!

The paper had stuck to the potatoes to where it was inedible. Very unfortunate.

One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! If I lived close to Alessia I would probably get this a couple of times a week. Thick cut brioche toasted to perfection, the onion jam and sautéed mushrooms were so flavorful, nice salt from the bacon and creaminess from the gruyere and garlic aioli, all topped with the runny fried egg. 5/5 DUCK CONFIT HASH: Crispy potato, hollandaise, pickled fresno chile, cilantro, poached egg. The potatoes were crisp and the poached egg was delicious. The duck was a little on the gamier side, but I didn't mind it. 3.5/5 Overall, I thought Alessia Patisserie & Cafe was a great spot to stop by for breakfast, lunch, or just to try some pastries. I ordered a few different pastries for the road such as the pistachio croissant, ham & cheese croissant, and a "French Onion" soup danish. All of them were so buttery, flaky, and delicious! Note that this is a review specifically for a private event (wedding lunch reception)…read more My wife and I recently got married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and were looking for a restaurant to host a lunch reception and State & Fig absolutely delivered. A 5/5 experience and we would certainly work with them again. We were in contact with Serina for about a year before the wedding and she was very accommodating, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. We initially met with her to discuss our vision, had a food and cake tasting, and also a final walk through with our coordinator to ensure everything was smooth. In terms of food, atmosphere, and service, I would want to go through all three in detail: 1) Food: We had a lunch style buffet and the food options were fresh and many of our guests gave very positive feedback and took shameless second trips. Serina and the owner (Patrick) were able to source many of the ingredients seasonally and cater to our guests' palate (Asian-inspired, etc.). We had a tasting and they took our feedback into consideration in earnest. Moreover, our strawberry cake was AMAZING. 2) Atmosphere: The restaurant had a great layout for our party size (~90 or so) with seating inside, outside, and upstairs. This arrangement allowed us to have an intimate reception despite having a lot of guests. The decor in the restaurant is minimal, which allows customization to make the space truly our own. State & Fig allowed us to borrow a few decorations, which was generous. 3) Service: The two points before were already excellent, but State & Fig's outstanding service took the lunch reception to another level. Serina was a joy to work with in terms of bringing our vision to life and was always there to make things easy for us. Patrick ensured that this was a special day for us, and encouraged us to soak it in and enjoy it as much as we can. And the wait staff and servers on the day of were professional and attentive. For that, we are immensely grateful. There were other restaurants that we toured before selecting S&F, and it was clear that hosting the reception would simply be a transactional business affair. This felt like a genuine desire to make our special day a memorable experience. Overall, a 5/5 experience and we hope that others will be able to have State & Fig host their special day. P.S. A funny aside: we met a couple sitting next to us during our tasting, who were returning to celebrate their anniversary after getting married at S&F. They told us we were in good hands and not to worry, and we AGREE.

The temperature was great, the latte art was great, and the syrup flavor options were so fun. The interior and exterior decor were immaculate. I loved the mallard rocking ducks outside the front door for the kids. The exterior tables (with marble tops) and chairs were beautiful and I was surprised that they were being used as outdoor tables because I am sure the elements with weather them down fast. I liked the cute design touches inside like the hand painted trim on the windows, the art, and the plants. They played country music inside. There was plenty of parking. The surrounding area is gorgeous with lots of tall trees. The bad: The mint latte could've used a little more mint flavor. I tried the biscuit and egg sandwich as well as the Dijon mustard toast with ham. I thought both were subpar to what I was expecting. The bread slice was thick, the ham was cold, and it could've used more of a spread or sauce. The biscuit tasted microwaved. The drinks came in beautiful orange glasses but I think it made the volume slightly smaller. The interesting: The bathroom is outside of the coffee shop but is very clean and nice.
