We finally got to try this little gem with a down home feel. Walk in and grab a table for breakfast…read moreor lunch! We could actually hear our conversation, and feel good supporting a small local business. The ingredients cannot be beat (all organic/real, HEALTHY ingredients/fresh sourdough!!) and they do their best to make it affordable. We had wonderful service, and my husband says, hands down this is the best breakfast he's ever had! I won't take offense; it was delicious!! Check out the attached general store and gift shop with food and goods from local farmers and artisans!

I was super excited about this place the menu on Yelp looked fantastic. Alas.... Once we got there…read morethe menu was waaaaaay smaller. They only offer one burger and its a 1/2 pound. Can anyone say food coma after having that for lunch! We were there at 11:00 on Friday. We were told no sodas, we ordered tea, they came with no ice. We were informed they were out of sausage but there was sausage in the gravy. I ordered the Shaved Thyme Toast, and I felt like Scott Calvin from Santa Claus and Judy just kept saying, we're out. No ice, no sausage, no avocado and no chicken. So I got the biscuits and gravy and my friend for the breakfast bowl. Its very limited seating and the closer to the door is broken so it kept coming open and blowing the really cold north air in on us. All and all, we were disappointed. Not what we were expecting from the online menu. Love the Conscious Co-Op but will pass on the cafe.

My amazing waffle sandwich, with real maple syrup, and the best fried potatoes. Also, the biscuit and gravy meal that rocked his world ;)

That made the experience even more worthwhile. We shared some nachos and both of us got a frozen daiquiri a piece. They came in the plastic containers so that you could take them to go. I got a plain Pina Colada, but Brandy said that I wasn't a "plain" girl, haha and had suggested to add strawberry to it. It was a good choice because that daiquiri was absolutely delicious. Not too strong but just right. My friend ordered the Summer Breeze. I had a sip of hers and it was tasty as well. The nachos were a surprise. They used like a blanco queso, with hamburger meat, cream cheese, picante sauce, jalapeño peppers, and some seasoning on top. It looked as good as it tasted. Plus, that bowl was deep so it was like a surprise dip. The chips were served on the side. The portion was great and honestly, enough for two people or a quick bite. The place is small but adequate seating for quite a few people. They had a big screen tv (I can't remember if there was more than one, but this is an excellent spot to wine down to have quick bite and watch a football or basketball game. They also serve soul food, I think that it's done on Sundays, but that's good to know and hopefully I will be able to try it some time soon. One more thing! They have a drive thru and you can order a gallon Daiquiri to go. Put D&B Daiquiri Spot on your list of places to try out in OKC.

Breakfast bowl was divine and way too much for one person honestly. Chicken fried ribeye was delightful and the mashed taters were perfectly flavorful and chunky. We sat outside b/c the weather was glorious. Great little shaded patio area. Loved the vibe, the menu options and service. Wish I could say we'll be back but we were just passing through.

The brunch dishes look amazing too. My only small complaint was that initial service was a bit sluggish when we first sat down, taking almost fifteen minutes just to get water and take our drink order, and my side of fries came out pretty limp and inconsistent compared to how crispy the tots were. Once the meal got moving though, the chill vibe and tasty food made it a really solid lunch overall. the standout comfort food and the super laid-back environment are the absolute best parts about this place. That chicken-fried ribeye is tender, perfectly seasoned, and total comfort on a plate, while the loaded tots are an incredible appetizer to share with the table. The overall space feels warm, casual, and unpretentious, making it a awesome spot to kick back with friends.
