Hands down these are the best donuts I've had in my life. When you walk in, the place just smells like donut love. They have a big variety of donuts, classic ones and unique ones too. The flavor of the month when I stopped was peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter and jelly donuts!!! What a concept! I also love the fact that they are open late. Side note: Try taking their donuts and going to the dairy queen down the street. Get yourself a small cup of soft serve vanilla ice cream and make your own donut blizzard. they make some fresh donuts throughout the day unlike Dunkin Donuts where lazy owners from India have it all shipped from a warehouse. This is an American owned company and makes some of the best donuts this side of the Mississippi. I walked in on a Sunday trying to order 24 donuts and was blown away by this one employee who was on point with every transaction/customer .... she looked a little stressed out because about 8 customers piled up in a line really quickly and whatever they asked for she even knew the amount and tax of the cost of donuts by heart ... if u ask me that's how A business stays alive with employees like that . I went back to my car after the employee served the donuts to me and told my teenage daughter holy sh*% that girl who works there is so good at her job and my daughter said her name is Amber and I was shocked to hear she was still in high school . I know this review should be about taste ,flavors ,textures or whatever but I had to write this review because I was so proud of how Amber handled the customers today ! Respectful fast and a excellent multi tasker! The boxes spunky donuts uses make me sick to be honest they deserve nicer boxes more sturdier latex kind . The strawberry jelly made my 4 year old soooo happy , my fav is the powdered lemon ... either than that excellent ... and the palatine road location is better than Arlington heights rd ... something is off with that one ... our family refers to the crappy Arlington heights rd spunkys . The employees are weird with their facial expressions there and you can feel they have some confusion with their jobs and donuts r old .... but the original spunkys on palatine rd is the golden ticket !!! read more

Great casual hangout. Service is always very polite and very fast so if you need to pick up a dozen or two for a party or work, take these over DD any day. Personal favorites are the Butter Crunch and the Apple Streudles, but everything here is delicious. Fresh, light donuts in a variety of flavors served up by a friendly staff. Monthly special flavors and a generous assortment of regular flavors to choose from. These donuts are better on the second day than Dunkin Donuts are on the first day! Of course, it's hard to keep them on hand that long. Spunky Dunkers is community focused and sponsored my kids' sports teams. It's truly a neighborhood place but worth the trip from anywhere. Paczki Day has lines around the corner to pick up paczki. My husband specifically requested I pick up donuts from here for Father's Day. We had high expectations based on all the rave reviews. The line was long but it went pretty quickly. The selection was a little limited as many donuts were out and the service was poor. I requested a dozen donuts and was given a half dozen box although the customers in front of and behind me were getting the bigger box. I specifically asked for the bigger box and was told they were out which was complete nonsense. Another member of the staff then gave the person helping me a bigger box when she heard her say they were out. The person helping me wiped off half the icing on the donuts as she was packing them. During check out, at no point was I told my total or received a receipt. The donuts were good but nothing amazing. read more
