I came here after a friend recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint. From the moment you go in, the staff is very nice and helpful. The server provided some suggestions and she did not steer me wrong with them. To drink I tried the Lychee Martini and it was delicious. I was surprised with the boba on the bottom of the glass. As an appetizer, I tried the salt and pepper calamari. The plate was big and the calamari were crispy. As an entree, I had the short rib and wild mushroom risotto and it was so tasty. The short rib meat melts in your mouth. Throughout my time there, the staff was very attentive at picking up the dirty plates and refilling our water cups. The restaurant was large but still welcoming. I would definitely return. read more

Brunch was amazing!! Buffet style with lots of options. Get there early if you want a seat and don't have reservations.

I made a reservation to celebrate my mom's birthday, and while the experience had some good moments, there were a few things that could definitely be improved. The brunch buffet had some tasty options, especially when the food was fresh. The shrimp and grits were my favorite! But some of the food that had been sitting under the heat lamps for a while was pretty dry. That said, the variety of options was impressive, and for the price, it's definitely a solid deal. One issue, though, was that they had two buffet lines, but they closed one down early, even though brunch hours hadn't ended yet. This made the line much longer and slower than it needed to be. A nice touch was the made-to-order omelette station--you just tell the staff your table number, and they bring it to you. The rest of the buffet is self-serve, which was fine. Since we were there for my mom's birthday, they gave her a plate of cookies to take home (apparently they're Steve Spurrier's wife's recipe), and they were really good! They also brought her a candle to blow out, which was nice. We opted for the bottomless mimosas for an additional $25 per person, but the setup for this was a bit of a hassle. You get a ticket and have to take it to the bar near the entrance (even if you're seated in the back, like we were). The bar was often unmanned, and there was always a line when we went up. What made it worse was the bartenders didn't seem to manage the line well--they helped people at the back first while those of us at the front were waiting longer. When we finally got our drinks, the bartenders spilled champagne everywhere, got our tickets wet (which we had to keep for each round), and just didn't seem very organized. I get that champagne can be bubbly, but if I'd known the process would be this annoying, I would've just ordered individual drinks instead of opting for bottomless mimosas. It honestly wasn't worth the trouble. All in all, while the food was good and the birthday gesture was appreciated, the service and drink setup were pretty lacking. I'd consider coming back for the food, but I'd skip the bottomless mimosas next time. read more

My partner and I were eager to try Spurriers the night before game day. We had a 5:45 reservation and were seated right away. The rooftop atmosphere was not what we were expecting, but in a good way. It was classier. It was a chilly night but the building walls did a great job keeping it warm. We were seated at a high top and after about 5 minutes our server came by to order drinks. While he was ordering our drinks, he did not look us in the eye and walked away. We thought he would come back but he didn't. It was odd. For an appetizer, we had the Buffalo chicken dip. It was delicious. Again with the service, our server didn't come back until about 15 minutes later to order our entree. Each time, he looked away as he was distracted by something. Quite odd. Just when it couldn't get any odder, we were asked to move tables before our entree was served due to our table being rented out by a group. We hadn't even been there an hour at this point so not sure why they sat us there knowing we would have to move. I had the blacked red fish for my entrée and it was good but lacked in flavor for the price. My partner had the short rib and it was outstanding. Overall, the food was good but not perfect. Meh. Sort of overrated for the price. First off I want to say the service was fantastic. Great wait staff. Everyone was super helpful and the manager even came over and checked up on us at the end of the meal. With that said, the problem is really with the food. While not bad it just wasn't great. The calamari appetizer was actually pretty good and I would give 4 to 5 stars The steak I had though was just okay. My friend ordered a medium steak and I ordered mine medium rare. My steak was more well cooked than hers. Next, I paid the extra eight dollars to add crab meat, expecting some really nice big chunks of lump crab. Instead, I was greeted with about a teaspoon of blue crab with shells still in it. If you're going to add crab to anything, you have to make sure that you get all the shells. Again, not worth getting. My mashed potatoes were over-mixed and gummy, but still had a couple of pieces of unmixed raw potato in them. And they were also under seasoned. This restaurant doesn't include salt and pepper shakers though I'm sure I could've gotten them if I had to ask (but we were with a large group and I didn't want to make a fuss). My wife got shrimp and grits and they were okay. She said they weren't the best she's ever had but they were acceptable. She did mention the grits were outstanding. Overall, a $360 bill (including tip) for five people in a fairly high energy place wasn't too outrageous, it's just that there are other better steakhouses in town with much better food. Lastly, I want to say that some of the food is above par, just isn't the best option in town. I think if my crab wasn't so bad this might have gotten 4 stars. read more

Vibe is hybrid model between an uber upscale sports bar and a Steve Spurrier trophy case. Nice lighting and ambience with high ceilings and lots of glass. Had a reservation for Sunday brunch. Restaurant was busy but nonetheless seated promptly. Conner (our server) was friendly and efficient. Buffet was well executed, although salad selection was underwhelming. A bit pricey ($57 with Mimosas) for brunch in Gainesville plus automatic 20% gratuity added, so return visits will be for special occasions. read more

I had heard about this place for some time and it surpassed my expectations. The restaurant itself is very classy with a beautiful bar. The tables are spread out enough that you don't feel like you are having dinner with other patron. Spurrier's Heisman trophy is right there for the viewing. We started with the cheesy bread which was fantastic. I had the short rib which might have been the best short rib dish I have ever had. My son, my nephew and his girlfriend all had the filet which was incredible. The offer 4 different sauces which we all sampled. There is NO WAY this is a 4.5 star restaurant. I went there alone on a Wednesday night, arriving at about 7:30pm after a long day of driving. The hostess didn't greet and welcome me. She acted annoyed I was there and told me that as a single, I would have a 15 minute wait, but there was no wait at the bar. Clearly she wanted me to sit there, so I did. Then I asked about single malt scotches. The bartender had no idea which ones they had, so he handed me the list, half of which were blends. So I went with Chardonnay. Then I ordered Shrimp and Grits. It was ok but not amazing. Actually tasted like a combination of shrimp and grits with jambalaya, complete with andouille sausage. Solid 3 stars, nothing more. I would avoid going back, but would prefer that to going hungry. read more

Came here for a graduation dinner and everything was delicious! We sat at the rooftop, which was super nice during the sunset! The staff was all very friendly and accommodating! We had to wait a little for our table and went to the bar while we waited. The drinks we very good and well made. Everything we ordered was great! Excellent service!!! Everyone is so nice and polite from greeting you the second you walk in to the waiters. We went for weekend brunch and it is worth every penny. It's a buffet style but the food quality that's served is top notch. Our favorite were the grits and shrimp and the beef wyagu sliders. They also have this omelette station that my stomach could not fit but I would've loved an omelet. I want to try to make this a monthly thing with friends. Both my brother-in-law and myself said our meals were so good we couldn't stop eating even though we were stuffed. My husband ate his entire steak and sides and salad. The drinks were not skimpy. This is the perfect game day spot before a UF game. The food is upscale bar food and is actually very good/flavorful. Looking forward to going back and trying the dining room at night. Hello, I reserved a space for 2026 Spring Grad weekend. Had a set menu. The food was pretty good. The service was pretty good. The ambiance was severely lacking. Was a back room with no windows past the kitchen, not well decorated AT ALL. It was an expensive event and not worth the cash to be honest. Just a heads up if you are thinking of booking for graduation. Might want to look elsewhere. I've been there just for a regular dinner and it's OK. My visit to the HBC establishment was the highlight of my weekend in G'ville. Coach Spurrier's Gridiron Grille was welcoming and beautifully decorated. No attention to detail was sparred as all elements of his illustrious career were highlighted. Reception area greeters provided seating options for my party of 1 and encouraged looking around to assist with my decision. There was also a private party in the area to the left. Rooms were open and glass allowed viewing of Coach's memorabilia including championship rings! Opted for the bar seating and was provided food and beverage options from the fully stocked bar. I choose the short rib crostini appetizers since our leader Erica recommended "anything with short ribs" and she told no lies! The flavors were exquisite and ample enough to have leftovers. They paired well with the mixed greens salad with farro, avocados and a lemon vinaigrette dressing. I ordered an apple vinaigrette dressing to add to salad and it was exactly what I needed. The two flavors blended well and made my created meal even more enjoyable. The bar selection was well stocked as previously mentioned. As I was not feeling great the discovery of the Immunata mocktail was greatly appreciated. It consisted of tumeric, ginger and club soda. Truly enjoyed the unique mocktail selections which could become a cocktail with inclusion of recommended liquors. Service was exceptional from start to finish. It was a rainy Saturday but that did not deter the crowd, especially with graduation ceremony taking place that day. Large parties, families, couples and solo diners were all present and catered to equally. Price point was reasonable and on par for the new Celebration Point area of Gainesville. I did hear comparisons to Celebration in Orlando, Fl area, and agree on similarities with shops, a variety of restaurants/bars and a movie theatre. Absolutely the worst service I've experienced in a long time. It took over 50 minutes just to place our entrée order, and that only happened because my partner had to physically call the server (Thomas) over to our table. Our appetizer plates were completely empty, yet the server came by multiple times--either to pick up empty glasses or check on the table directly next to us--without once asking if we were ready to order entrées. My drink sat empty for about 10 minutes before I was asked if I wanted another. To make matters worse, the tables seated next to us--who arrived after us and ordered the exact same appetizer--received their entrées before we had even placed ours. The server checked on them several times while barely acknowledging our table. A simple check-in could have easily prevented this- all he had to do was literally turn around. The service felt dismissive and honestly stereotypical, as if we were being treated like we couldn't afford to be there. While this is a college town and some students may not tip well, I work full-time, have graduated, and had no issue paying for this meal. For the price point, the level of service should have been far better. The server also repeatedly came to our table with items meant for other tables, adding to the overall disorganization. Our reservation was from 7:00-8:30 PM, and around 8:15 PM the server suddenly became attentive and rushed us, seemingly to turn the table for the next reservation. We did speak with the manager, Mario, at the end, and he was kind enough to offer a gift card, which we appreciated. However, this was our first time dining here, and it was a very upsetting experience. For the price and reputation of this restaurant, the service was extremely disappointing. Despite the gift card, I don't see us returning. The experience was poor, and my tip reflected the level of service we received. I would like to highlight that the food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was very pleasant- there were no issues with either one, the issue was the service. read more

Lots to see! Drink of choice was the Spicy Succulent and I kept the same for a few more. A great drink! Prepared with Lugos Pitorro Rum, Aloe Chareau, Lemon, Agave, Jalapeño, Cucumber & Basil.
