After they came to do the inspection, they simply sent me a inspection report and then disappeared. I tried to reach them to ask for some details on the problems they found in the house but it is hard to reach them. After I reached them, they said they did not mark the places that had problems on my windows because there were so many of them and they also did not remember where the problems were ... It was a one year old house and the blinds on the window cannot be that bad ... Anyways, i wont recommend this company. read more

Justin is my first five-star review on Yelp because he really is as good as it gets. I recently purchased a foreclosed home and I wanted to make sure to have an inspector who caught anything and everything prior to committing to purchase the home. Justin was that inspector. Not only is he incredibly detail oriented and thorough, but he is prompt, fast, and just a fantastic person to work with. Justin took photographs to help detail the problem areas in the house. His report was comprehensive and even let us know which problems needed immediate attention vs. which problems we could hold off on fixing for now. Justin came on time, at 1:00pm, finished by 3:30pm, and we had the report by 8:00pm that night. Justin's knowledge of building codes and ability to spot problems is flat out impressive. I am the type of person that wants to know exactly what is going on and Justin had no problem explaining things to me as he went. He was very polite and professional the whole time and I never felt like he was talking down to me for my lack of knowledge. The best part about Justin (aside from his work product) is that he runs an honest business. There is no BS about him. I used Yelp reviews to find Justin and Square House and now I'm hoping I can add to the list of compliments. Justin "found" numerous things to complain about on our house. There were a few things that he was right about, but most of it was trumped up. Keeping in mind that his job is to find things wrong, so that buyers can dicker with sellers, he's doing great (sarcasm intended). Here are some examples: 1. The yard has a downgrade that "could lead to flooding". We are the first house on the top of the hill. There's no chance of flooding. 2. "Possible termite damage". There has never been termites on this property. It is all brick. Termites are now eating brick for breakfast? 3. "Possible Rodent Infestation", which he based on the fact that attic insulation appears to be moved around. This is because we have a lot of blown in insulation. It's not supposed to be flat. Not rodent issues. 4. He said our water heater didn't pass inspection. We just had the piping replaced this past spring, and it passed inspection then. It was inspected by a professional, and we have the paperwork to prove it. Trumping up make believe problems is unprofessional and demonstrates a total lack of integrity. If you're a buyer looking to screw over sellers, I'd recommend him. If you prefer to know the truth......Steer Clear! read more

Need a TOP NOTCH home inspection done - Justin from Square House is the one to call. We have used him twice now. He is extremely though in his inspection and he is very detailed pointing out every little thing that is deficient BUT highlighting those that need IMMEDIATE attention allowing you the buyer to make an informed decision about proceeding with your home purchase. The first house he inspected for us showed multiple areas of concern which may or may not have deterred other buyers but we chose to walk away. The second house he inspected for us using the same attention to detail showed a home that was clearly well maintained by the seller and as a buyer that was MUSIC to our ears and this home is the one for us. I can't thank Justin enough for doing his job so well and assisting us in choosing the right home for us. I will be listing my home in the next couple of months and we will be having Justin also inspect our home so that we can get those things fixed before we try to sell.
