This has been a terrible experience starting about 3 months ago. I needed a pocket door installed…read moreand was told they could handle such a job. I will not include any names, as I don't feel that's appropriate. The installation was completed, but the contractor did a truly terrible job on the finish work. After sending many photos of the work and speaking with multiple employees, the company has continued attempting to send the same contractor back each time to fix the work. Once you look at the photos, I think it's clear why I'm not comfortable with that solution. These are not minor errors that simply need to be touched up--they appear to be fundamental finish-carpentry and installation issues. The short list of problems: there are gaps throughout the finished work; the door does not properly align with the jamb; the slow-close hardware was thrown away rather than installed; the paint color does not match; the wall texture is completely mismatched; and the finished work does not match the other doors or finish carpentry in our home. They also left their garbage bags at our home despite the invoice stating that cleanup and disposal were included. I have given the company multiple opportunities to correct this situation without posting a negative review. I have also been clear that, given the quality of the original work, I am not comfortable having the same contractor perform the corrective finish work. I have asked that the repair instead be handled by someone with appropriate finish-carpentry experience. At this point, I am at a loss with how this has been handled, which is why I am posting this review. I will leave this review up for as long as this situation remains unresolved. If you are reading this and this statement is still here, you can assume the company has not yet resolved the issues described above. If they resolve the situation appropriately, I will update this review to reflect that.

I explained what I wanted (replace an outdoor sink and countertop in our backyard) and he had some useful suggestions. He gave me a price, very reasonable, for labor and said the parts would be separate. I could buy them or he would, whichever I preferred. I picked up a quartz remnant from a local shop, ordered the sink online, and Armando bought the wood. He was frugal in suggesting we reuse parts wherever possible. He completed the work within a day and I couldn't be happier. A crummy little sink and countertop that we haven't been able to use in the 31 years we've lived in this house is finally an attractive and useful component in our backyard "kitchen". Kevin helped us with our vision, connected with his shop to pick up color/patterns of cultured marble and assisted in identifying a specific thermostatic valve. Kevin's estimate was right on point and did not include any cost surprises. About a year and a half after the work was completed, one of the towel racks became lose and we were concerned that it was an installation issues... Kevin's team promptly came out and repaired (turned out the rack had proper fasteners and installed correctly so damage was our fault). Really happy that we went with a local contractor who knows these homes really well!

His bid was competitive, but unlike other bidders he doesn't nickel and dime you on every detail or simple change. He made the whole project easy for us and finished the work in record time based on our experience with previous projects. The crew started demo on a Monday and by Friday we had the first city inspection. Six weeks later the project was complete with all appliances in, custom cabinets installed, new tiles and countertops in. They even worked some weekends. The whole crew were really great, expert, timely, and very easy to have in the house. They were friendly, honest, responsive, and experienced. His cabinet maker is local and delivered a great design, timely delivery and was very responsive. His countertop fabricator also did an excellent job. The interior doors were well made by a local fabricator. Expert installation and painting of the doors by Diablo View. They all look amazing and make such a difference to the house. I really recommend them and plan to use them for any future projects.

Finding FBC stucco was THE BEST choice we made to begin the year of improvements on our home…read more I am very glad we decided to work with FBC Stucco. He and his team was very clear and open on communication. He was always able to address my questions about his trade process. His team is widely knowledgeable and was able to perform the job flawlessly. Our project was also completed slightly ahead of time, which is a huge plus for us! He removed our very old siding and replaced it with stucco, that now makes our home look new and fresh! During demo he brought us over to see what was under that siding (which was interesting) and explained the steps that would follow. He offered us pamphlets of colors and was patient with us while we decided on our stucco color. We are impressed with the level of care and precision he and his team showed during the process. This project was worth every penny! He has exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend him to anyone needing construction services.
