Great place to get poke in katy Asian town! Friendly service and they have a lot of options. Ordering was easy, everything was tasty and flavorful especially the sauces, I highly recommend and would come back.
Decent poke place in Katy Chinatown with cute interior decor and friendly staff. Portions for the scoops of protein are definitely small for what it's worth. Otherwise, they offer the usual toppings and sauces as expected for poke place. They even have spam masubi which was honestly pretty lacking in flavors compared to other places. They have complimentary miso soup for dine-in customers which is a plus.
I stopped by here to try their zucchini noodle alternative to keep a low carb diet. I did a create your own small bowl. It included two proteins, as many sides and toppings you would like. Each ingredient was displayed correct with additional price if need be. I also saw tiny spoons which I think are samples for sauces if you want to try before adding them to your bowl. The staff lady was very sweet and helpful. She was also loud and clear and gave some suggestions. The place was clean. I had mine to go so I didn't sit down. When I was home, the bowl was a bit watery but I think that's due to the excess water from all the raw zucchini and seaweed. The diversity of the food was a good mix and the flavors wasn't too overwhelming. I asked for less sauce. And the crispy toppings were still crispy! I really enjoyed the fact that there's a zucchini alternative and I hope more places have this as an option for people who are on a low carb diet. They also have edamame noodles, which I'll try next time. Parking is free and out front. But if it is a busy day, you may have to park at a lot next over by jcpenny. It's still free.
We were in the Katy area with friends and wanted a super light lunch after a night of heavy drinking. Poke is the way to go! They are the typical poke place and have a good variety of toppings, fish options and drink options! I forgot to ask for unagi sauce on top of the rice because that is so good but oh well! I'd definitely come back again- the place is super cute but parking is a nightmare with being in the same plaza as other restaurants.

There are lots of different toppings to choose from, and they load the bowl up generously. They also provide complimentary miso soup that pairs perfectly with the poke!! Out of all the poké places in this general area this one is my personal favorite. The store itself is fairly small so it's seating area is not for large parties. The menu has plenty of options for you to try so if you want a different flavor profile you can keep trying. The outlay is very similar to chipotle, they usually give you a warning about the raw fish so that's cool. Miso soup is on the house if you dine in. It was pretty refreshing even during the summer in Texas. The fish is not fishy in a bad way, the portion sizes and pricing are good. Highly recommend coming here
I love poké. If I could have it every day I would, but specifically from here. Ive been here a couple times and I always leave satisfied. The service is great and I think the prices are reasonable.
My friend and I decided to try Square Root Poké for dinner. Parking can be a bit hard to find in the plaza, especially during peak dining hours. The restaurant is brightly lit and clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I created a small poké bowl, and it was delicious! The salmon and ahi tuna were tasty and fresh, and the sauces I chose complemented them well. The toppings were great, though I would have liked to see more variety. I love this poke place. My to go to place for some nice poke with good toppings and sauce. I usually do the build my own rice with 2 scoops of tuna and salmon. You get a small bowl of miso soup (refillable) if you eat at the restaurant which is pretty nice. The service is pretty fast. Usually there's no line or a small one, so you get your food pretty quickly. Of course, the place is decorated so cute! read more

My go to poke spot! The give such generous portions and they have complimentary miso soup. The sashimi is fresh and they have a wide range of sauces (I like the sesame shoyu and spicy mayo). They also give seaweed salad, masago and imitation crab mix with the bowl (some other places don't). I also really like their choices of "sprinkles" including furikake, sesame, crispy garlic, crispy onion, shredded nori, and japanese chili flakes (I got all of them on mine except japanese chili flakes and extra crispy garlic). The food and service were excellent!! The restaurant area was very clean and pleasing to the eye. This place is a great place to go if you and your friends are looking for a place to hang at and something good to fill you up! We ordered the large poke bowl which had 3 scoops of protein and the spam masubi! On top of the order, there was also COMPLIMENTARY miso soup with any purchase made! Square Root Poke is great! It's my go to spot in Katy. They have bowls that they create that you could choose from, but I usually do the create your own bowl. seems fresh and portions are decent size. I like the multiple sauces you can put and it makes the bowls seem like I've never tried the restaurant before every time I come back. Also like you get free miso soup when you dine in. Only cons I have is it seems like they are on the pricey side, but I think that's anything in Katy Asia Town. Also, it seems like they only have 1 employee working the prep line every time I go. When there is a longer line, the wait time is obviously extended, because they don't have many employees working the prep line read more
I was so glad to see that this place is still open. I hadn't been out to eat in a while and was really craving some poké so I hit up this spot. I got the small poke bowl with salmon and ahi tuna with zucchini noodles. It was delicious!! The fish was super fresh and paired well with the zucchini noodles if you are looking for a lighter option. I chose the ponzu sauce to go with it, which was a bit too salty for my liking but I was overwhelmed with the long list of sauces so I just chose a random one but I'm sure there are less salty options. My favorite thing about poke is how you can customize the bowl to you through the mix ins. My favorite ones are pineapple, masago, and seaweed salad!! This was my first poké bowl experience. I went for brunch on a Saturday (11AM) and there weren't many people there. The pop music blasting from the speakers was loud. I like the size of the bowl. They have mini plastic cups and a water station next to a miso soup cauldron which is self-serve and complimentary with your order. It is a tiny restaurant with the basics and an energetic vibe. The service was fast and my food was satisfying after a workout, though I'm not sure I would visit anytime soon since the flavor was bland. read more
Katy Chinatown has so many great spots. As I continue my poke bowl adventure this spot right here does not disappoint at all!! In the middle of the strip mall across from HMart as soon as you walk in very lightly lit and greeted as you come in. The ambiance is vetting refreshing and nice. In the small they give you a generous amount to choose from with 2 proteins. I never edamame noodles and decides to give them a trying. What I like about this place is that they do offer a sample so yo are able make sure what you want. During the pandemic the seating is limited and I did see to young ladies sitting there enjoying the food. The drink selection to choose from was a good little selection. I've been to other poke spots in Katy and I will definitely say this one has won me over! Definitely check this spot out! read more
I gave them another shot because the food wasn't bad. This time, I ordered in person. I ordered 2 kids bowl - again, the food wasn't bad but oh my god... the customer service.... Cashier told me I can ONLY get 3 add-in's for kids meal, but online I can order as many as I want? "I've told you before you can't order kids meal unless you're under 12". Do you know me? How do you know I came here before? Cuz I obviously haven't - unless you're saying all Asians look the same (but your Asian yourself). Save your money. I got the teriyaki glazed chicken bowl, and while it appears yummy the chicken was DRYYYYY and must have been cooked (warmed up) next to the salmon teriyaki order that was ordered by another person after me because it also had a fishy taste...For $15 definitely not worth i read more
First off, being from Hawaii makes judging poke bowls here in Texas a lose lose situation...but here we go... Customer service was on point, very friendly and sociable! Pricing is in line with every poke place we've tried here in Houston. Portions to price it's a good value... The good... - portion size - options - customer service The bad... - frozen fish - "lemony" avocado (assuming you keep it from turning) - rice ratio was off (too much rice) - giant bowls half filled (looks impressive till the covers off) Would we go back? Probably, is it a great poke bowl, no. Do I miss Hawaii more now? Yes. In Houston poke hierarchy, it's not as good as Pokeworks in my opinion. read more
Walking in, you'll see very cute decor around the store from a neon sign, to shelves with plants and a chalk board with a drawing. Not only do they have poké bowls, but also hot entrees as well. There's also complementary miso soup with your poke bowls, but I believe that they're not offering that right now because of COVID. I love trying spam musubi from different poke stores and something about this spam musubi that was not tasty. The rice had a lot of furikake seasoning and the spam was not very crispy. Honestly it's poke - always SO good - but this was above and beyond. Super fresh fish, great sauce options, and tons of fun toppings. The bonus free miso soup (in restaurant only) was a fun add also. Prices on par with other poke. I'll definitely be back! read more

Their poke was super yummy and the portions were surprisingly filling! I went with a group of friends and I got their peace and love signature bowl which was the only vegan option from their signature bowls (although you can make your own bowl). It was really good and had the perfect flavor combination! I would definitely recommend eating here if you are around katy Asia town and are craving some poke! For covid, they only have a few tables open for indoor dining and it was not crowded at all. read more

Very average poke place- wasn't bad, but wasn't WOW either. I wish they gave more fish because I still had half of my fillings left with no more bites of fish - sad. But, one yummy thing they do is that they toss the raw fish in your sauce of choice and mix-ins before adding it to the rest of the bowl. The small size was a bit over $10, which imo is a fair price, but just wishing they put more fish. To be honest, I probably won't be back, BUT it was definitely worth a try. read more

To my knowledge, yes. That's the only option. The bowl is recycled paper though. (I believe.)
