That would be my selection as you can watch some of the chefs prep the food fresh in front of you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a lot of things to order and I really couldn't decide. The one thing I knew was that I wanted to get seafood since I remember seafood being really good and fresh in Seattle. Which is why I ended up purchasing the Seafood basket. Originally I wanted to just get this as an appetizer and order something else after but this was definitely enough. The server was helpful in putting my order and also happened to be the same one that prepped my food. The pacific oysters were really good and probably even one of the best pacific oysters I've had since they were really fresh. Immediately right when I was done, he served me the rest of my food which was the clams & mussels. Those were really good and not too salty. I felt like I needed something a little extra for it so I was able to order a cheesy garlic bread to compliment the dish, as well as soak up the sauce. This review is for the Seafood Bar only. It has become our go to place for fresh seafood in an area with tons of good options. The food is fresh, the portions generous, the staff friendly and with a vibe that often has us talking to our neighbors. We prefer the simple dishes that highlight the seafood. Prawns, crab, muscles, class steamed or as a cocktail. The dungeness crab bisque is great with lots of fresh dungeness. Thier seafood Louis trio is simple too much food for me. The prices are not cheep but reasonable for the quality and quantity. My only criticisms are meant to be constructive. The fact that they only open before 4 on the weekends is a bummer. Likewise, I do not understand why they do not have halibut and razor clams. Perhaps it is political, but I find it sad I have to go to Taylor Junction to get razor class. Halibut would be well suited for thier simple steaming techniques, and razor slams for the fried foods like prawns and cod. Everybody raved about this restaurant and it seems like the best in the vicinity. Being a seafood lover, I had to try it. Service was meh but I'm used to the Asian service anyway. It was a busy Sunday and we waited maybe 40 min which was still ok since I could kill time in the casino. The food tasted great on the spot. The 20% over 50 senior discount w the casino players membership card was great. However, id think if you want to charge this price then you outta have a real kitchen w open flame and not just heating food up in front of us. Moreover, this is the final straw. Both me and my bf had major tummy issue afterward and hes usually the one w the steel stomach. So if you want to eat here, id suggest to stick with the non shellfish. We were heading to Shelton and needed a place for breakfast. We drove by the casino and thought they have to have breakfast there. Luckily we were able to get in wit the late brunch crowd an hour before they closed the restaurant to prep for lunch. I got the eggs benny which of course was fine. This is based solely on my recent to go order. I have always had 5 star dining in . Dont order to go !!!!!!!!! Oyster stew $14 served in beutiful collossel bowl with bread dine in...4 ounce cup to go not even crackers. Sautee dishes beutiful but to go you maybe get 1 oz rice as to dine in its truely a meal. Pretty disappointing for $94 plus 18% gratuity to go.........after a couple days, truely thinking about it,my crab cakes came with my choice salad or chowder, I chose chowder ,which was the 4 one cup. Figured Squaxin deserved a review update because I've been TONS of time since 2016 - and for much more than brunch service! I'm pretty sure they don't even do brunch here anymore? I've come here for dinner SO many times as I'm at Little Creek a couple times a year, and my dad and I absolutely love all of the seafood here. We normally always splurge on the crab cocktail. It's a pricey starter but the crab is soooo fresh and we absolutely devour it every time. Their crab bisque is also phenomenal too. Our go to for dinner is usually their signature sautés. It's fairly affordable at $25, and you're able to create your own meal. You pick the seafood that you want thrown in, and then you get to pick your preferred sauce. I usually do the scampi or the peanut, and both are delicious. Scampi is probably my favorite, though! The service here is always great, too. The chefs are always really nice and accommodating. Definitely a solid spot for dinner if you're a seafood lover! read more

This restaurant is located inside the Little Creek Casino in Shelton. Since we were heading north I started researching where to go and what seafood we might be lucy enough to have. That's when I ran across the add for their Seafood Broil on Thursday night, the same night we could/would be in the area. However, even though the seafood was delicious the picture was grossly deceptive. We had a great server but when I showed her the picture, the first word she said was "deceptive". What you actually get is about half of the advertised photo. Thus, the 3 stars. Potatoes were good but I didn't order it for the potatoes and I didn't care for the sausage -- very spicy. This is a gem, hidden inside the Little Creek Casino. Arrived on a Friday night at an early dinner hour and there was a line out the door. There was no staff to tell us the procedure, so we stood in line. There are 2 sections of seating: inside the restaurant with counter seating around the cooks, or outside the restaurant with tables in an area that looks and feels like a hotel lobby. When a host arrived at the line, we were given the option to wait for a seat by the counter or outside. We opted for "outside" and were immediately seated. Servers immediately brought waters and we ordered a bottle of white wine. Servers paced the food well and we ordered the following: Clam Chowder-thick and delicious. A dozen Kumamoto oysters-$40. Fresh and spot on. A pound king crab legs steamed- $40. Fresh and perfect. This alone makes a stop worth it. Amazing. Bread Pudding-chocolate croissant bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce. Very good and they make the ice cream in house. This restaurant will always be the only one I visit when in the area! Always delicious and on point every time we come. Tonight I had the prawn and chips and hubby had the filet. Both dinners were amazing and service was spot on. They make the best dirty martinis, perfect every time! Normally we get a shrimp curry saute which I highly recommend! All the sautes are packed with flavor and served straight from the skillet. The main reason this is one of our favorite restaurants is the crab cocktail! This is my second visit and I was once again amazed at the flavor, freshness and portion size. Their is always a wait to be seated but it is so worth it. Arrived around 6:45pm for dinner. Was told they could not take anymore reservations but we could place a togo order. We placed our ordering considering that most restaurants were either going to close soon or would be closed by the time we drove somewhere else. An hour later we still do not have our order and they resumed taking people on their wait list without inquiring if we would like to dine in or how much longer it would take to get out food. At 10:30pm our order was come out and we left feeling horrible by this entire experience. Not only did it take literally 4 hours for our order but the host(s) clearly were not communicating resuming taking names for dine in and it was clear our food order was placed on the back burner to allow dine in guest to get their food first. We spent close to $300 and it was a waste of money and time. The inner part of the baked potato was still hard. The King crab had no flavor, the scallops were extremely small, the steak was not seasoned well, the crab bisque was okay-lots of Dungeons crab meat but the flavors were not well paired. The Cesar salad was over dressed, and the chocolate cake was gross. Not creamy or soft. Over all our food was cold and soggy with little to no flavor besides water. read more

Portion of Trio cocktail was generous, a combo of Dungeness crab meat, prawn and bay shrimp cocktail. The crab meat was firm with a natural sweetness , very tempting and irresistable. Texture of Prawns were meaty and savory, and bay shrimp was freshly tasty too. A good choice for appetizer. Seared Scallops was on point, not overcooked, golden brown on both side, served on mash potato and with arugula on the plate. Clam chowder was served with our entree, very creamy and flavorful, delicious. I ordered the Seafood Cioppino for my main dish, which consisted of shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams; salmom and halibut. The tomato broth was very rich and flavorful but a bit salty. My lady's selection of half lb shrimp was filling and satsifying. First time dining here which is down the hall from the casino gaming floor of Little Creek. I won a little bit of money from the slots and wanted to treat my friends to lunch. They each ordered a Prime Rib Dip while I ordered their Signature Shrimp Scampi Sauté. We started off with a dozen order of the Pacific Oysters which were fresh in the shell and topped it off with tabasco and lemon juice. The portion of the sauté was more than enough for me so I was able to take the rest home for a later meal. Every time my husband & I visit the casino we try our best to come here. We always order pan fried oysters/raw oysters, calamari and calm chowder. We stopped here on our way home from an Oregon adventure. Taking the back way, we were looking for a place with solid reviews and that could accommodate my low carb month. Squaxin Seafood fit the bill. Let's start with the good. Plenty of food. Huge portions to be sure. We ordered the trio Bay Shrimp, big Shrimp, and Dungeness Crab cocktail, and the bucket of Mussels. The Trio Cocktail: it was good. It is clean, non breaded, and fresh. There wasn't anything special about it, but it was solid as a choice. The Bucket of Mussels: these were really fresh, they are steamed right after you order them. They weren't special either, but again a solid choice. I prefer the wine and garlic sauce that mussels are sometimes cooked with. That said, I would absolutely order these again. The not so great. The restaurant is in a casino, and people smoke in casinos... I smell like smoke after eating here. To close, the people who were working the seafood bar are nice, helpful, and will bring you as much food as you order. The bar seating led to several very interesting and entertaining conversations. The parking is very easy, it's a casino so they are set up for folks to drive and park. I would never have imagined that this place has pretty fresh seafood. It is located in The Little Creek Casino. The restaurant itself was interesting because it looked like it was diner styled with high chairs. There were only three employees and they were quick from ringing people up, taking names for waitlist, taking orders, cooking, plating, cleaning, and bartending. We got there at 4 P.M. and the tables were pretty much all filled. We ordered the seafood bucket, cup of clam chowder, and the trio of shrimp/crab. The clam chowder was pretty standard with light flavors of clam but heavy in potatoes. The seafood bucket was definitely worth the $35 with one pound of clams, one pound of mussels, and 6 oysters. They even offer to steam your oysters. I did 3 raw and 3 steamed oysters. The oysters were sweet with umami flavors, extremely fresh. The clams and mussels were meaty and cooked to perfection. The shrimp trio was a bit of a disappointment to me because the dish tasted like a cold plate where none of the crab meat or shrimp stood out. Perhaps because the shrimp and crab meat were all cold that it was flavorless. Would come back for the bucket that is perfect for two people. read more

This was a bar serving alcohol and today there happened to be a child sitting at the bar across from me. I'm not sure if it's acceptable there or not, but I felt pretty awkward sitting there with alcohol looking at the child. Maybe something had happened or it was allowed? I myself need answers. This place consisted mainly of older adults so it wasn't very loud or anything (full bar and tables). Everyone was kind of chatting to each other. My bartender was friendly, but sometimes I think that they should write down the orders and repeat it back. Ordered 1/2 dozen oysters (got a dozen), burger with fries, Parmesan polenta and Parmesan risotto. Oysters were fresh, but the shucker did a terrible job. Lots of broken shell on meat. The burger and fries were good. The other items were good as well. I recommend the risotto and polenta. Gone WAY WAY Downhill! For 10+ years, we've loved this place for anything seafood...especially crab. The Seafood bar USED TO BE second to none!!! Now they aren't serving King crab so I switched to scallops. I ordered sea scallops and the appetizer came with four of the smallest sea scallops I've ever seen...for $33!!!!! Very disappointing for a place that used to be the highlight of our trip. The staff has always been awesome and the exception was our server...new to the group. He was quiet, sparse, and you had to flag him to ask for anything needed, i.e. additional drinks, refills, bread and butter to go with soup, etc. I had better rapport and response from a guy that was not our server. A man sitting the nearby said " you better think again" when I pointed to the two open seats. This is our GO-TO place for fresh seafood when we're able to get to this casino from Puyallup. We've eaten here probably 8 times in past 10 yrs and are always so impressed with our seafood options. Our must have items have always been pretty much the same.... crab bisque bowl, shrimp Caesar, doz. raw oysters, and a combo of steamed clams/mussels w/bread. This time we were quite as hungry so we deleted the steamed shellfish. When we went to order the crab bisque we were shocked to see the price went from $9 to $18!!!!. Therefore we just could not justify that price jump and ordered the clam chowder bowl for $10. We also did a shrimp salad but changed to a blue cheese tossed instead and then the raw oysters and bread. We ordered cocktails and stayed w/ chowder and salad. The chowder was what I refer to as more of a potato/bacon version, disappointing. The salad really good. Then the oysters come looking good but sadly they were really milky and being a little larger than we're used to made it a bit difficult to truly enjoy having that creaminess instead of just being light and Britney from ocean water. Having been looking forward to this visit since COVID hit it wasn't the experience we expected. Delicious. How can you see this food, and not go inside to try it?! I asked for a Belgian ale, got a Pilsner. The server was so nice and kind to us, so I gladly accepted it. Then I ordered fish and chips, because the fish they used look so dense and flaky (when I saw another customer's plate). When my order was being made, other customers nearby were being served their Crab Bisque with Dungeness Crab meat topped, so I immediately asked for a serving as well. I was SO glad I did.
