The flavors are authentic and consistently excellent, you really can't go wrong here. Right now I'm hooked on the pulpo causa. The octopus is tender, the causa is perfectly seasoned, and the balance is just right. They also do the best lomo saltado I've had outside of Lima, and the chupe de pescado is rich, comforting, and full of depth. This place is a classic for a reason. The restaurant was empty when we arrived for lunch. The service was the worst. The server took my drink order but not my coworkers. When he came back we ordered our food and his drink. The server still didn't bring the drink. We had to flag him down. He said he didn't hear but he definitely repeated it back to us when we ordered. When we ordered the food, we asked that the dishes come out as soon as they are ready since we were on our lunch break. About 20 mins go by. We try to flag down one of the servers. For the next for 10 mins neither one of them would look up. We finally flagged down the other server and she began to bring out our food. We ordered the ceviche, chicken causa, seafood fried rice and lomo saltado. Chicken causa was good. Ceviche was bland even though we ordered it spicy. The server accidentally brought us chicken chaufa. The lomo saltado was ok. The restaurant was filling up. There were only 4 tables including us for two servers. Honestly I will never go back to this location because of the poor service. What a waste of time. Management needs to hire better staff or train their current employees. read more

The ceviche is so fresh & succulent and the lime juice everything bathes in is tangy and flavorful. The photos do not do justice of showing how much fish & shrimp is nestled inside the bowl, so don't be fooled. Also tried the tamale and chicken fried rice and both were extremely delicious. Make sure you ask for a side of the cilantro sauce they have! Interior is very clean and service is fast & friendly. My wife is Peruvian, so we love to eat Peruvian food regularly, and this spot is one of our favorites, especially when it comes to food quality and how traditional it feels compared to other restaurants in the mall. We usually order from here about 2-3 times a month, and we always get the Lomo Saltado and Aji de Gallina. Both are authentic and absolutely delicious. The lunch specials are a great deal--$14 for a small ceviche and Pollo Saltado is hard to beat. That said, there are a couple of things that could be better. The servers rarely offer the lunch menu when we come in during lunch hours, which is a bit of a missed opportunity. Also, while I'm happy to tip, I really don't like the way the card readers are set up when picking up to-go orders. The preset tip amounts are right in your face, and if you don't want to tip, you have to press "other" and manually enter $0. Most of the time, I'd tip $1 or $2, but the way it's set up makes me uncomfortable, so I sometimes avoid ordering takeout here. Overall, the food is great, but the service experience could definitely use a little improvement. read more

Had the basic fosh chevice. It was very flavorful. What they call medium spicy was not spicy at all to my taste, but the flavors were greate. If you like you can upgrade the fish, but I tried the default. The big sweet corn kernels, and sweet potato (I think that was what it was) were great complement to the raw fish. I have never had a sweet potato less than thoroughly cooked, but the semi raw one retained great flavor. The waitress was very nice and sweet. She helped with the selection and was attentive and kind. The decore was very basic. I love Peruvian cuisine so not sure if this will be biased. The ceviche here is delicious, usually get the trio of ceviches. The sauce that comes with the ceviches is thicker than other ceviches I tried but it is very good. The portions are usually pretty big. I have also tried their lomo saltado and it's usually on point. Always order take out but the service is very friendly. For the ambiance is not a place to go on a dinner date, it's like a hole in the wall vibe but I guess you can do a lunch date here. I have no point of reference for Lomo Saltado, this was my first experience with it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know some on yelp wasn't a fan but I thought the flavors were great. The cook was good and the dish as a whole is unique. But the star of this restaurant is the service and the ceviche!!!! My wife and I tried 3 ceviches and each was SUPERB. This place is pretty hidden. It's located in this small plaza that you wouldn't notice at first. Don't judge a book by its cover because from the outside you wouldn't think much of this restaurant. I came in during lunch. I was greeted and seated as soon as I walked in. The waiter brought me a menu (their menus are large and a bit heavy) and explained how they make their lemonade freshly in-house, so I went for it. You can ask for as much sugar as you'd like but I only requested a little to keep it tart. It was good. Then I ordered a glass of merlot using my check-in offer. The merlot didn't have body but had a decent taste to it. Of course they serve the addictive roasted corn kernels I ordered from the lunch menu. The lunch special comes with an appetizer and entree. I ordered the causa de pollo (which was salty) as an appetizer. It's cold potatoes mashed served with chicken salad. The amount of salt and lime wasn't done right. For my entree I ordered the pollo saltado which comes with sautéed chicken with onions and tomatoes, fries and rice. It was enjoyable. The chicken had a soy sauce type sauce. What made it more enjoyable was the spicy verde sauce. I'd definitely give this place another try because of the service, price, and good dishes. read more

This is my absolute favorite to go place for delicious ceviche. Love this location, and their service. Amazing ceviche, consistent service and everything on the menu is always delicious. I bring my family with me all the time. We come here because of their family size options for fresh ceviche. We go for a large martini glass of mixed ceviche, and roasted octopus. The service is great, but in South Florida where plenty of Peruvian restaurants exists, I think their food is about a 3.5 stars. We really enjoyed the tropical ceviche, which came in a real pineapple that actually holds a lot of food. We ordered it medium and it has just a little kick, which was perfect for us. I imagine the mild will have no kick at all. If you like spicy food, don't hesitate to order the super spicy. The tacu tacu with lomo saltada is quite delicious, the beef tender and flavorful. We all felt the dish overall is too salty though. We also tried the quinoa risotto, which I have tried at other Peruvian places and love. Sadly, this one is definitely not my favorite version of the dish. I like the sauce creamy but not too heavy, and this one, the sauce was too thick, and the parmesan cheese too overpowering. A bit disappointed as this place has high rating and was also recommended by a friend. However, I can't say this is my favorite Peruvian among the many I've tried. read more

This place is well located off Biscayne Blvd and Miami Gardens. It has around 10 tables and is not fancy... This is a chill lunch place. Acoustic is horrible... Too nuch noise. Service is on the average side. The food, Mahi ceviche is quite good, tasty and fresh. The grilled octopus was good but a little chewey... My lomo saltado was below average. The meat strips were too thin and over cooked... The chef did tell me to try and order larger or thicker chunks next time and how I want them cooked... A nice addition is that you can order most plates with quinoa, so if you are trying to eat somewhat healthy, they can help! Hope next time I can up a star for food!!!
