First time at this restaurant and it was for a special Women's Day Event. We had an array of dishes brought to each table selected by our event coordinator. Beef carpaccio tartare, squid rice with calamari ringlets, roasted cauliflower, snapper filets with an orange caper sauce ( light and flavorful), and roasted chicken in a lemon sauce. There were names for all that placed on the tables, but I was there to meet women in business and the drinks were flowing, red and white wines, spritzer drink for me, one as it was the middle of the day and I had to drive back home. We also had a head shot photo session. Great time and great venue and event. We're in town for the Miami GP and found this place online. We thought we'd try it. The food was perfect for both of us to share. We were also celebrating our anniversary, and they gave us some champagne to celebrate. We ordered an NA beer and a lychee martini for drinks. We started with carbonara croquettes and a Caesar salad, both of which were exceptional. Next, we had the eggplant chips and Pan con tomate. I was surprised at how crispy and tasty the eggplant chips were. The sweetness and saltiness kept me going back for more. The bread was perfectly made, and the tomato was a great addition. Then there was the seared foie gras. We love a good seared foie gras, and this did not disappoint. Then, to finish, we had the baked Alaska with a cortadito to share. We didn't drive, but there is street parking available. The tables were nicely spaced. The live music was not overwhelming but rather enjoyable. The service was great as well. I came here for happy hour with a group of friends and had a great time. They accommodated a group of 8 by the bar. The service was amazing. The waiter was patient and provided suggestions. The staff also refilled our waters all the time and removed the empty plates without us noticing. To drink, I tried the passionfruit margarita. The first time I had it, it was very good. The second time it tasted different. The waiter offered to bring me another but I declined. To eat, I had mushroom croquetas, tuna carpaccio, truffle chips, roast beets and crispy eggplant chips. Everything was delicious. The mushroom croquetas may be one of the best croquetas I've had. And the tuna carpaccio was fresh and light. The roast beets were tasty and delicious. All the chips were flavorful. They also had live music, which I loved. The bathrooms were also very clean. I would definitely return here as I liked the ambiance, service and food. read more

The best item on this peculiar menu is Fried Eggplant chips $14. The pan con tomate with added Boquerones $25 is good but only 4 small pieces. The Oxtail Paella with bone marrow extremely salty $48 and the Prawns with Harissa $48 we were told were Langostinos, but they were medium shrimp and unimpressed. Another winner was the dessert which is their version of Bread pudding, and they were gracious to give us this free. The staff and service were pleasant and efficient. Loved everything about this place! The food, the service, the decor, the drinks, everything was amazing. Started off the night at the bar with some happy hour drinks. A nice selection of cocktails to choose from, the bartenders were super friendly and attentive and we got complimentary bar bites to snack on. After a couple drinks we moved to the main dining area for dinner and live music, which they usually have on Friday and Saturday nights. Service at our table continued to be exceptional. We ordered family style and shared appetizers and mains. We went with all the dishes that were recommended to us and everything was delicious, from the carbonara and mushroom croqueta's appetizers to the oxtail paella and lamb chops, with a side of house fries, we loved everything on the table. Welcome back Sra. Martinez! After tonight's dining experience, my prediction is that this jewel will be here for a while. The spot is nestled in the heart of Coral Gables with a few steps from Giralda Avenue. The warm welcome from the hostess (Sarai & Mari) and Sr. Martinez, was greatly appreciated. For the first few bites we shared the carbonara croquettes, followed by the fried artichoke paired with a cardamom dip and grilled foie gras. Each dish were a smooth transition to the next and the flavors were amazing and aligned with the great flavors that Chef Michy, always brings. For our main course we shared the oxtail paella and the fish and chips. The paella fell short as it lacked salt. It was the only dish that required adding something to bring out what it was intended to do. But baby, the fish and chips made up for where things lacked in the paella big time! It was so good and this is huge for me as I'm not a fish & chips person, but my guest insisted on getting it and our server (Evie) was all about it. The dessert was up next: TAHINI AND HALVAH MILHOJAS with walnuts, pomegranates & raspberries. It also came with mint. A lot was going on here which took away from the featured ingredients. It was fruit forward. Overall, the experience was a 4.7 and we will definitely be returning because the entire experience overall was great! Yamil was our server and he made sure we were well taken care of. His recommendations were great. Sra. Martinez is a hit! Shout out to Chef Andy--amazing flavors and bold fusion dishes. We loved the oxtail paella and kampachi crudo "aguachile"; the saffron-lemon wood roasted chicken was a bit salty, but still flavorful. Bastion, our waiter, was super kind and helpful. Looking for a low key happy hour without sacrificing flavors, this is the one not to miss. We literally just finished our first experience in this venue and already talking out which of the appetizers we will definitely repeat on our return! Our initial plan was to enjoy the offerings on the Miami Spice 2025 menu being offered but noticed Happy Hour was just commencing so we switched. It was amazing! Menu consisted of a few items. One being. What ended up as a full size burger and crispy fish sandwich. We started with the.carbonara croquettes. Serving size was 4 small round shaped croquettes. These tiny rounds were so creamy and packing amazing flavor melting in your mouth easily. Instantly setting you for wanting more! The cream they nested on was spectacular! Next we went with the roasted. Beat salad! I thought it was a great choice that i could enjoy without sharing and it ended up that i had to fight off my dont like beets hubby! The beets where cut up into nice size bite sizes served warm resting on a creamy tangy sauce with lemon zest and a beautifully accompanied crispy element which i am not sure what it was but pulled in all the flavors awaking tastebuds! A definite must try especially for those that dont like beets! While people watching i noticed a couple sitting at bar who looked like they were salivating over a bowl of chips. When asked it was the truffle chips! We had ordered the happy hoir burger for our main meal & unaware it was accompanied by fries we ordered the truffle chips. These were crispy crunchy and enjoy truffle without being overwhelming. At first i do gotta say when we were served the burger and saw the fries we were gosh if server had told us when we asked for truffle chips (which was a while after we had ordered burger) if we were sure cause burger comes w fries would of been nice. But no need to feel bad for us! We ended up enjoying both! Place is sure nice! Waiters wearing pick jackets which was a cute surprise. Servers were all very nice. Place looks super clean including restrooms. Hubby had a drink $16 average for places in miami and he liked it alot. Happy hour for us is. I was wanting to try this place and went with a friend for the Taste of the Gables lunch, basically a prix fixe 3 course meal. Even though that menu is limited, what I got was very nice across the board. I started with the Greekish salad and moved to the mushroom shawarma as my main meal. Some items are Latin fusion, others are just an acquired taste. My friend had the chicken pate even after the waiter suggest another item and while she loved the beignets, the actual pate was not a hit. Service was efficient and very knowledgeable. Very nice restaurant, very clean throughout and great ambiance. Special menus and special food nights keep this interesting. Conveniently located next to public parking which is your best bet for this restaurant. It's an upscale experience that should make you happy if you start with basic Latin and want an interesting mix of the unexpected. The location itself is in a great location in Downton Coral Gables with garage parking available in the same building. The design is tropical and fun - I loved the aesthetic. The food was decent. I think it's a bit overpriced considering the portion sizes and preparation. My group was surprised by the oxtail paella - they had to bring us another bone but even so it was mostly rice and really wasn't what we were expecting. The staff was very attentive and the music was a nice touch. It wasn't packed so the atmosphere was much calmer and I think it would have been nice to have been there on a livelier night, especially for the musicians. read more

I love this place! Michelle Bernstein does not disappoint. The decor is very elegant and reminiscent of the '50s Rat Pack era. There is great live music with no cover charge and a Happy Hour with tasty and generous mixed drinks. This last time I went they had a special, Ox Tail Raviolis that was the most delicious dish I have had in years on this side of the Atlantic. I hope they make it permanent. read more

A friend told us to change our existing reservation to Sra Martinez and I'm very happy she did. Everything about our dinner experience was exceptional. The decor is beautiful and comfortable, the service top notch and the food was far beyond our expectations. It was refreshing to see a wait staff so well trained and attentive. My wife and I each had different Miami Spice meals. Each course was special and filling to the extent that we ended up taking some home. Prices were moderate and well worth the value. I don't know of any other restaurant that scores 100% on my list of quality criteria. If you want to enjoy a wonderful meal and experience, I highly recommend Sra Martinez. I am going to try and convey the incredible experience that was our visit to Sra Martínez. I will start with the ambiance which was perfection. Beautifully decorated, upscale but still seemingly relaxed vibe. We sat inside in the far back, left corner of the restaurant. The staff and bartenders greeted our group of 6 and we did not have to wait at all for a table (Thursday night). Our waitress was outstanding. We jumped right in and ordered some of the best drinks we have ever had. "Dry martini" to start was delicious AND the staff switches out your martini glass every 10 or so minutes making sure you are always drinking from a cold, frosty, martini glass! (WHATTT) I had never seen ANY restaurant do that!! (Impressed!) I had a "Stealth Martini" which was soooo refreshing!, hubby had an "Old Fashioned" which has a twist that is not your typical Old Fashioned but somehow works! Every drink was perfection, as described by all 6 of us in our group. We ordered the "Pan con Tomate" which is topped with a strip of anchovies (was delicious, if you don't like anchovies I still recommend you ask for this and remove them), the "Foie gras" (duck liver) was awesome, it sat over apples and a mini pancake base. The "beef tartare" was perfection and a hefty portion (I hate when any tartare comes out with a tiny bite size serving, this was not that)! We had the "Fish and Chips"which was in fact all the hype, perfectly flakey, taste was fresh, not too greasy, just literally, - the best Fish and Chips ever. We had the "Ox Tail Paella" which was epic! It came out with a bone marrow and roasted tomatoes on the vine, on top (this has a sweet flavor and it's a large enough portion to share if you had a few appetizers). We also had "croquetas de mariscos" which were incredible, the "crispy california artichokes" were probably the best I've ever had! I could go on - and on, this restaurant blew me away! Arrived in the middle of a Florida thunderstorm on a Thursday night and chose to sit in the bar area rather than in the main dining area. I didn't know there would be live music, but it was a great added benefit. Very nice laid-back mellow Spanish songs. There's one guy singing another one on bass. Great vibe! I was disappointed as the menu was lacking from what I had seen online. Online there were several croquettes to choose from. Tonight they only had the carbonara. Don't get me wrong, they were delicious, but I wanted to try other flavors too. The eggplant chips were thinly sliced with a touch of molasses drizzled on top. I wasn't sure if I would like it but was pleasantly surprised with the flavor combination. It turned out to be delicious and they were the perfectly salty chip. The Caesar salad was anything but average I would order it again and again and again if I could. The bread from the pan con tomato had the perfect amount of crunch. The tomato was a little soggy, but delicious nonetheless. For dinner, we shared the duck it was roasted and perfectly crispy. Wasn't crazy about the house margarita with cucumber and Saint Germain so for my second drink, I went with an espresso martini which was right on point. The dessert menu had four unique desserts, too unique for my husband so we chose to skip dessert. Husband and I had a date night dinner at Sra Martinez last night and I am so glad we did! Cocktails were great, food was delish, and service was five star. We had the carbonara croquetas, whipped feta, pan con tomate, pork, and cauliflower side. Everything was very good but the pork was definitely the standout dish. The owner even noticed that I had my husband's coat over my shoulders and came over to ask if I was cold, and when I said yes, he adjusted the air in the restaurant.
