Super light dosas, great masala chai, sambaar very hot and good. Cleans up nicely . Lots of tables to choose from.

Dosa. Filled with potoes, onions and other tasty ingredients

Every now and then, I have friends that wil pick my brain for great local spots to eat often with a certain food in mind. Recently, a coworker asked where to score a great dosa from. Parsippany is home to many great Indian restaurants, and surprisingly, while I love Indian food, have never ventured into the world of Dosas. What is a dosa is something many may ask? In the realm of Indian cooking, a dosa is very similar to what we all know as crepes, but stuffed with savory Indian food. No doubt, heard good things about them but just never took the step and order outside of my normal meals. With that, while I never ate at Sri Ganesh Dosa House-Parsippany, (Located at 209 Littleton Road - Littleton Plaza - Intersection of Littleton Road and Parsippany Blvd.)I have heard good things about this place and offered this location as one location. Granted there are many more places with the boundaries of Parsippany to order these, but this was one location that I've heard about and offered up. Recently we paid a visit for dosas and we both enjoyed out meals. Going in there, we did not really know what we were ordering, but the staff was helpful in choosing our meals even though we lacked experience and knowledge. With most Indian foods that are made fresh to order, they can be fine tuned to your spice level. I enjoy heat to my meal and ordered accordingly. The dosas are made to irder and came out piping hot and super fresh. My dosa was stuffed with potoes and onions along with other great additions that made for a tasty meal. My coworkers had potato, onions, chickpeas as well as other great additions that was dialed down on the heat scale and was also served fresh. Both meals were super tasty and unique. While this dosa house is vegetarian, don't be fooled that it won't make a good meal. Despite it being vegertain, I walked away very satisfied and full. Not pictured, but a lentil soup ( I beleive it may be called Sambar) often accompanies dosas and they had a pot in the restaurant that was also available and was super tasty as well.

Ran nearly closing time of 10pm but made it little ahead of 9:30 . Found they were wrapping up and closing when the staff informed that they are open for take outs for idli and dosas. Knowing how dosa can get soggy in a to go box, I was hesitant and placed an order for steam idli($6) when the manager was kind enough to accommodate and take the order for karampodi masala dosa(9.50$) and seated us at the table. Instantly we were served with steamed fresh idli that came with fab chutneys on the side - coconut and spicy red chutneys. Served with sambhar Ofcourse. The karampodi was great might get spicier to some like me at the center. That was a lot of podi with heat! We were out in 15-20mins. Quickest dinner ever grabbed and finished! P.S. This is not your regular luxurious grand interior seating space. If you want to have good food, you have to compromise on your checklist for fancier interiors sometimes. But you'll get delicious

Our local factories dosa place in Parsipanny! They have everything to satisfy your South Indian cravings. Service is really fast and always made fresh. The restaurant is super low key and don't judge book by it's cover!!

It's a non fancy to the point fast food restaurant with seating. Food items are prepared upon order which is served hot. You order, get a table , when called get your order back to your seating. Food rating is five points. Masala Dosa was really filling. Sambhar is little more spicy for me but get extra napkins to wipe yourself.. Overall three star due to environmental and no table service.

I finally found amazing spot for South Indian food. The food is super fresh, quick service, and reasonable prices. The menu is so long at this place that you'll definitely get to pick a lot options. Great meal options for lunch and dinner. If you are in mood for South Indian food, this is definitely the place to go and enjoy! The only thing I would say this restaurant would do so much better if they fixed their appearance otherwise food is amazing to nibble on!

This tiny place serves good food and is a very basic take-out counter with a few tables for eating in as well.

Solid 4/5 stars for Gaamthi in Parsippany. If you're craving an authentic, rustic Gujarati spread,…read moretheir Kathiyawadi Thali delivers genuine, village-style comfort that feels straight out of Saurashtra. The thali is robust, hearty, and uncompromising on traditional regional spices: - Breads & Grains: The freshly made bajra rotla served with a generous dollop of white butter (makhan) and jaggery (gor) was the absolute highlight--dense, warm, and comforting. The kadhi and khichdi pairing also hit all the right soothing, nostalgic notes. - Sabzis & Curries: The shaak preparations captured that distinct Kathiyawadi profile--bold garlic, mustard, and warming red chili heat without being drowned in excess oil. The sev tameta shaak offered that perfect balance of tangy and spicy, while the stuffed vegetable dishes had authentic homestyle depth. - Accompaniments: The garlic chutney, fried chilies, papad, and fresh buttermilk (chaas) pulled the whole feast together, providing the necessary sharp tang and heat to cut through the richness. The only reason it's a 4 instead of a full 5 comes down to consistency during peak weekend rush. The dining area fills up fast, meaning hot bread refills and extra servings occasionally took longer than ideal to arrive, and a couple of the mild sides could have packed a slightly fresher punch. Overall, it's a deeply satisfying, homestyle feast that avoids the overly sweet Gujarati clichés in favor of bold, rustic spice. Well worth a visit for anyone looking for authentic regional comfort food.
