    Masala Dosai
    Tina C.

Quick and easy fast casual Indian veg food. Located next to the Days Inn, so there's plenty of parking. Inside is nice and clean, and the staff is attentive and helpful. Masala dosa is very filling, and it comes with all the accompaniments. Prices are little high for what you get and the quality.

We went for an Onam Sadya today. It took sometime to get the food but wow!! It was such an amazing Sadya! They served on banana leaf and there were many varieties. Even the Malyali friends with us loved the Sadya here. Everything was great especially loved the sambhar, beet root pachadi, erissery. The fried red chilly on the sides gave a nice spicy kick to anything.

Probably my 10th visit, the service and quality does not fail to meet expectations, great choice for good South Indian food.

Finally visited after ages. Loved it. We had the thali, the thatte idli, regular idli, Mysore masala dosa and filter coffee. Definitely the best idli on this side of the world. The rassam, chutneys were great. My first time having a soy dry sabzi which wasn't bad either. I've come to love the kuzambu. The place looks fairly decent too and I loved the beautiful painting of a woman there. We were there at 9pm on Sunday and it was still a 10ish minute wait. Friendly staff.

Wow! This was an impressive place. Not your mother's Indian restaurant and not a typical Dosa takeout place. It has the casual glamour of an upscale NJ diner, with some folks dressed very informally, and other families wearing their best saris for family celebrations. The restaurant is large, with many booths, and the kitchen sends out very impressive platters of dosas every few minutes. We did takeout and were very happy. They originally estimated 15 minutes, but it ended up being 30 - but we didn't care because there was good people watching and the food ended up being delicious. We got: masala dosas and a paneer dosa. Definitely get the filling on the side if you're doing takeout. We also got a south Indian thali, which gets packaged for takeout in a most impressive box! We enjoyed all of the little tastes too. I wasn't that wild about this sambar, but my mom couldn't have enough of it! We also got a south Indian curry which I liked less than any of the things in the thali. We also got two mango lassis, which were good but nothing remarkable. Definitely THE place to come for South Indian food in this area. Yummm!!! I'll look forward to trying it again on my next Jersey visit.

My family and I dined at this restaurant a week back. It was a treat. We got to the restaurant shortly after it opened for dinner. I didn't expect us to be the only diners but that's fine. You have to scan the QR code on the table to view the menu. The restaurant is spacious and has plenty of seating. We ordered punugulu for our appetizer and mango lassis for all. My dad ordered poori masala, my sister and I shared the Rava Onion Masala Dosai, my mom ordered the Mysore Masala dosai, and for my little nephew we ordered a soft plain masala dosai. Each of our dosai entrees were served with chutneys and sambhar. The sambhar was not spicy and the chutneys were good. All of the dishes we ordered were yummy. I would definitely dine here again to try other dosais. The mango lassi was delicious. This is my new favorite spot for dosais!! To avoid long wait times, best to come early and enjoy your food. They do not take reservations.

This place can and should really be a 5/5 vs a 4/5 IMO. Here's why. Let's start with the good. Thatte Idly - Im not a big fan of idll but I loved this one. The iddli was soft and it almost melted in your mouth. The sambhar though stole the show. We think it was Karnataka sambhar vs the TN one. Chole bathure - tough to go wrong on this. The bathure was fluffy, crispy and delicious. The chole was great albeit a very small portion. Mysore dosa - we had him do it with ghee and make it crispy. Thought it was perfect. Thokku - it's my first time having this dish and I thought it was delicious as well. It was good standalone but id recommend mixing the gravy and having it. The gravy perfectly complimented the taste of the thokku. Now for the not so good. Medhu vada - my fav South Indian dish. Id give this one a 3. It wasn't as hot and crispy as it should be and the sambhar that came with it was meh. Service - we had 2 servers. One was great , but the other one not so much. The other guy was either new or struggled with the basics. After having the sambhar from the thatte idlli, we asked him to get the same one for the other dishes. He said no, that only comes with the thatte dish. We requested that we'll pay for it, but he still didn't seem keen. We asked for the potato vegetable(which we said we'll purchase), again denied so we were forced to order the Mysore masala dosa which coincidentally also came without the potato vegetable. Thankfully the other server fixed all these issues and we were happy with the overall experience

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at A2B with my husband, who suggested we try it out based on friend's recommendation. My favorite dish was the jackfruit curry that I ordered with dosa. He liked his palak paneer, saying it was fresh and flavorful. We ordered a mango panna cotta to share, which was delicious. We hope to be back again soon and to also try out the other A2B locations.

Stopped in the other day and it was not busy for thanksgiving day lunch. Got seated right away. Decided to get the chole bhatura this time. It was around $14 and came with a chickpeas side . The side was a little spicy for my taste. I do wish there an option to substitute it for sambar or it comes with a second gravy side. The mango lassi was thick and delicious.

Lakes, there was ample parking making pick up a breeze. The menu is pretty extensive and this evening, picked from their Indo-chineese menu with a mix of more traditional starters. Started with the Samosas (3 pieces of deep-fried cone pastry stuffed with potatoes and green peas served with tamarind sauce) In addition, I also ordered the Onion Kulcha (Lightly leavened bread stuffed with finely chopped onions.) Both were super tasty and made a great start to my dinner. For the main course, I ordered the Schezwan Chicken Noodles (Veg Hakka noodles and egg/chicken.) This is an indo-chinese fusion which makes for a tasty meal. For those not familiar with food fusions, thr meal is a combination of Indian and Chinese cooking techniques, creating a new meal. It's just like a reese's peanut butter cup where chocolate and peanut butter are both great, but even better when together. I ordered 520 PM on a Sunday and was told the food wolud be ready in an hour. I arrived on time and the food was ready as promised. When picking up, there seemed to be a good mix of those doing take out and and those dinning in. When I arrived home, food was still hot and tasty. Definitely another great place in Denville to choose from. Was happy to such a diverse menu with many options to choose from. Also many vegetarian options to choose from. While not a vegetarian myself, will often order whenever my daughter joins me and there are many items that would be perfect got her. Once of the commen misconceptions about Indian Food is that it is spicy. While my dinner was in fact spicy, that was ordered to my liking. My daughter turns down the spice level way down and enjoys this cuisine a great deal. In addition to the indo-chinesse cuisine, the menu also offers kebabbs, Bryiani's, Dosa's, Utappam's, and other dinner entrees. Was very happy with my choices and will not hesitate to order again in the future. Definitely worth checking out if you are in a food rut and you are looking for something different.

The restaurant filled in pretty quickly and our server was hopping! We told him we have never been in before and he recommended the samosa's. Delicious! The order came with 3. We each had one and brought one home for my daughter who loved it as well. The meat was seasoned perfectly and it had the right amount of crunch and made our tummy's happy! I ordered the boneless chicken biryani. There was so much food and I actually made 3 meals out of it. What I liked about the biryani is that it doesn't make you feel overstuffed like rice. Hubby got the big boneless chicken kebab which was several pieces of chicken thighs. They were so tender, juicy and delicious. We both ate and still had plenty to bring home for the next day. Great value for the price paid. The average cost is about $17.99. They also have meats like goat and lamb on the menu. So if you are feeling adventurous, stop in! They have sodas and Joyce's but it's byo. Even though it was busy, I felt like the server checked in with us often and wrapped our food to go for us. Besides the food, it's a pretty place and very soothing to sit and relax and enjoy your meal. We will definitely be back!

Parking is always a challenge when heading to any restaurant in downtown, but since it was a weekday, we found a spot easily. The entrance and ambience are fabulous -- with Buddha statues placed at the entry and throughout the restaurant, and beautiful hanging red/lavender tree leaves adding a lot of charm Coming to food, as we were party of 7, we ordered * Kale Pakora * Bhindi Churi Muri: crispy, veryt thin slices of ladyfinger- good 4/5 * Lasooni gobhi *Tandoori Medley: mixed platter. Honestly, not sure why they'd include large chicken pieces here; felt like something borrowed from a buffet platter. The only items I liked were the mutton seekh kebab and prawns. *Gobhi Manchurian: too much sauce - 3/5 * Jhinga Masala: tomato-based gravy with prawns, nothing extraordinary, 3/5 * Bhuna Gost : nope, could not find the gravy... 2.5/5 * Lamb Biryani: average and disappointing, 2.5/5 * Eggplant Bharta * Gobhi Paratha, Tandoori Roti, Garlic Naan, Laccha Paratha * Jaljeera, Lassi, Lime soda To be honest, food was pretty average. Bharta and Bhuna Gosht definitely could've been better. It felt very hit or miss--none of the dishes really stood out Also, Portion was way less then what other restaurant serves! Service was good but again we were the only party there! they added 20 % gratuity by default Overall, I'd rate it 3 to 3.5/5 at best. I'll probably skip it next time unless they bring in something new. Bring some new flavor team, you are not offering anything new!

I decided to get their Dulce de Leche milkshake without the whipped cream on top. The milkshake was OK, it didn't really taste like Dulce de Leche, but that was to be expected since I haven't been able to find a place in New Jersey that is accurate with that taste. I do have to point out that the ice cream they sell here, from looking at the containers, is "Gifford's Famous ice cream," so it'll match other ice cream places who use the same supplier. The prices were reasonable and there was a fair variety of ice cream, but it not being "homemade" (though they don't claim to be) is what isn't great for me. I believe they have a couple tables inside that you can sit on which is nice, and it seems like they also sell crêpes, but I didn't see them on the menu, though I did see the machine.
