I really loved this store! I was talking to my best friend how I wanted to do a Sri Lankan crawl in the Valley and we came upon this small grocery while out picking up Indian for dinner next door. The store is stacked almost to the ceiling with all sorts of bagged, boxed, jarred, canned and bottled goods. There were spices, chutneys, British goods, frozen meals (including Linda McCartney's vegetarian line), interesting sodas and just a treasure trove of stuff. I bought two different ginger beers (they had four types including an organic one in a glass bottle) and asked the guy running the shop which one was better. He of course went with the Elephant brand, a Sri Lankan company. The other brand was made by Jamaicans (but bottled in the States). I also got a jar of minced ginger. Those three items were under $6. They also carried a few fresh things including what else, ginger, shallots (though those were sprouting), garlic, pearl onions, okra and some extremely small looking bitter melons. It made me very curious and anxious to try some Sri Lankan food soon. It is really tight in there and the racks of goods are very close together. I don't think this is handicap friendly at all. It's located in a strip mall and even though half the businesses were closed at night, almost all the parking spaces were gone attesting to the popularity of the three restaurants next door. What a cool find!

With MIA tunes streaming in my head I walk into Sri Lankan Deli excited to explore the goodies that lay behind this unassuming shop located in a nondescript strip mall. Wow! The shop is delightfully charming and beautifully organized. Everything was super neat and clean and the wooden bins welcomed you to explore. 25 years! That's how long they've been in business! It blows my mind that they have been servicing the Sri Lankan community in SoCal for 25years. Lots of interesting ingredients to peruse. I purchased some weird herbs to play with and took a ton of pics to post on yelp so that I can research Sri Lankan food further. Yelp is helping me catalogue the things I might want to buy. Adventurous food peeps come check em out and support this cool little spot. The people who work here are amazing! They were kind and patiently answered my billions of questions.

What a nice surprise discovering this grocery store this afternoon. I was having lunch nearby and passed by and took a double take on my way back to my car. I first noticed all the British products when I looked into the store. That initially drew me in, but as I walked through the store, there was so much more to explore. It was described to me as 80% Sri Lankan, and the rest products from Britain, Australia, South Africa, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, Thailand, Japan, and more. I bought a bag of groceries here today holding myself back from buying so much more. They have some unique sodas, and some fresh tumeric and ginger in the refrigerated section. There is a freezer section with Sri Lankan microwavable products and some British bangers too. I can't believe that they've been around for 20 years or so and I'm just discovering this grocery store now. Their grocery name is very misleading. It would really help them if they add the word "market" on the outside to draw more people in. Passing by for the past two decades, I never knew that this was a market with a lot interesting products. If you're looking some exotic groceries and spices to add to your kitchen, I recommend you stop by and take a look. If you love imported chocolate from the UK and other Commonwealth countries, a visit to Sri Lankan Delight is a must.

Great place for exclusive Sri Lankan products. Business owners are helpful. I wish they open a new store in another location.

We were so hungry that everything was eaten before I had a chance to take any photos. The prices are very reasonable. We also bought a sheet of sesame bread which was so good. Overall, we would come back if we are craving for Persian food. Service is fine. The deli is located inside the marketplace.

We first kind of did an overview of the whole place, checking out the bakery, the kitchen (wonderful aromas) produce, and then the canned and jarred goods. Then I worked up my courage at the kitchen and asked the guy if he could help me, because I had no idea what I was looking at, but it all looked and smelled amazing! He was so sweet and after asking, if we were vegetarians, which we weren't, he then gave us samples of two of the most popular dishes. These were both stews and had such a complexity of flavor. One is with ground walnuts, and pomegranate juice and small little meatballs, and the other was this amazing mix of herbs and greens and fava beans, which I might not normally choose, but tasted great! We ended up getting containers of those and then tried a couple different types of the rice. One had dill and other herbs in it, while the other one seemed to have lentils and maybe raisins? Once again, so good. We also got a quarter chicken and he packed them all up. It comes with this wonderful yogurt, herbed condiment. Our only mistake was not also picking up some flatbread to go with it. I picked up a chopped cucumber and tomato salad, and it's great because they have the dressing separated inside the container so it doesn't get soggy. Yes, like most places in Encino parking is going to be interesting! Their parking is directly in front of their entrance and at first it didn't look like there was anything, but then we realize there actually was. I found everybody friendly, even had some very lovely woman recommend some of the nuts and seeds to us. Speaking of which they have an enormous selection of both. I had no idea there were so many different types of sunflower seeds to name just one of the selections. In retrospect, I should've gotten some cookies! We will definitely be back, I would think it would be a great place to stock up and treat friends to an interesting set of new tastes. If you're vegetarian, they have an enormous selection as well.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was great. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and all of the guys working there made it a point to let me know they were available if I needed help. As a first-time shopper, I never felt judged for asking questions or taking my time looking around. They were also extremely helpful getting my account set up and explaining how everything worked. The selection honestly exceeded my expectations. The quality of the meat is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable overall. A few items felt a little pricey, but not enough to take away from the experience. I've already been back twice since my first visit. I stocked my freezer with bone-in pork chops, lobster, and several other items, and the pork chop quality alone was enough to make me a repeat customer. I also loved seeing seafood options like orange roughy and red snapper--items that aren't always easy to find or are often sold out elsewhere. Knowing I can run over and grab quality proteins without making multiple stops is a huge plus. Beyond the meat and seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the pantry selection. They carry sauces, seasonings, and other staples, and there were some really good sales happening at the front of the store. Parking was easy, and while most people seemed to get in and out quickly, I happily wandered every aisle because I wanted to see everything. If you're a home cook or a fellow chef looking for quality frozen, vacuum-sealed proteins and a fantastic selection, I definitely recommend checking out Wild Fork. I'll absolutely be back.
