I am very disappointed with the customer service at this location. Beatriz, the supervisor, has consistently come across as rude and unprofessional. As a regular customer at this Vons, I have personally witnessed her speak disrespectfully to customers, mock them, and make accusations that customers are stealing without cause. It is uncomfortable and upsetting to watch customers be treated this way. A supervisor should create a welcoming environment and lead by example, but unfortunately that has not been my experience. It's disappointing that this behavior has been allowed to continue. I hope corporate takes these concerns seriously and works toward providing a more respectful and positive experience for customers and this community. read more

NO shopping carts! Poor customer service! I could not locate any shopping carts so I went into the store and informed an employee near the self checkout area about the problem. She said someone stole them and walked away from me! She did not make any effort to find one or have someone else find one for me. She was not concerned when I told her that I would not be able to shop for my weekly groceries without a cart. Good customer service is lacking at this location. Because of the employee's poor attitude I will no longer shop at the Von's in Reseda. There are many other markets in the area with helpful employees. I've been a loyal customer at this Vons location for over 40 years, but after today's experience (August 6), I'm rethinking that loyalty. I purchased about $50 worth of groceries, including some chicken wings from the deli that were advertised as on sale. When I asked for the spicy variety, I was told they were out--and to "come back tomorrow." This was before 3 p.m., and the deli is open until 9. It's not the first time this has happened. Wanting to give the store the benefit of the doubt, I called to express my concern, only to be met with rudeness from the store director. Instead of acknowledging the pattern or even attempting to help, she dismissed my concern outright and claimed I was wrong. When I asked if she was calling me a liar and requested her name, she abruptly ended the call with a snide "Good afternoon, sir" and hung up. This is unacceptable customer service--especially from management. A store that consistently fails to stock advertised items and treats longtime customers with such disrespect clearly doesn't value its patrons. read more

Yesterday, I stop by to pick up a few items from the time I got to the door a young man (employee) rushed out the front door with a shopping cart, no excuse me, no acknowledgement of others nearby the front door waiting to get in, he just rammed his way out, ok no biggie right?! I truly enjoy shopping here on Friday's for their specials. Most of the time, they have 2 lb bags of frozen shrimp 16-21 counts (with the reward points) for $10.00 / bag. Limit 2 bags. I like this Vons location. I had not been here in awhile until recently. This store is always clean. Its not as big as it may seem. Parking lot looks kind of dead at night time. Its in a busy strip location off of Tampa and Victory. Manager is cool here. My primary visit was to use the DMV kiosk. It was around 9:30ish so the store isn't busy. Parking was pretty much empty. The DMV kiosk is near the entrance beside an ATM. It is visible that it is hard to miss. I went straight to it and doing my own business then an employee came over and snatch the document in my hand. Apparently I was taking long for him. It took me a minute to recover and take back the paper and finish it. I didn't appreciate what he did. I would have been more impressed if he asked nicely to help out. read more

It was Friday night roughly around 7:30 PM at self checkout. I was tendering out my purchase, but along with my purchase were strawberries and a balloon that I wanted to test to decorate with. I wanted to do two separate transactions one with cash and one with card. I was not done, checking out before the employee by the name of Beatriz approached me, assuming I wasn't gonna pay for the balloon. When I asked for her name, she continued to embarrass me and say really loud in front of several customers " you can go ahead and reach corporate, and I will just tell them to check the cameras." Mind you I had not stepped out yet or finished checking out. Her approach was very humiliating and I will be definitely calling the experts in regards to her customer service. It was terrible. On a busy night I understand she may have been frustrated with the customers, but to take it out on us and to embarrass me in front of public is so humiliating!!! I'm so uncomfortable. I don't want to go back. I usually go to this one and Tarzana. They are very friendly over at the Tarzana store and very nice. Beatriz treated me terrible as if I was a criminal when I had not walked away from the self checkout yet. I think she needs to be more careful with that. That is no code of ethics for customer service. When she asked me if I was gonna pay for it, I told her yes I don't know why she continued to embarrass me in front of everyone and say "yeah they can check the cameras." It would be different if I walked away, but I didn't. I told her the truth that I haven't paid for it yet. It's just common knowledge to be kind to people. Especially customers. First and foremost my family has been shopping here for over 30 years and never has my mother experienced anything like what happened with I believe assistant manager Autumn ! She forced my mother to go through self checkout. My mom told her she didn't know how to use it and she told her to bad you need to learn insulting her and even made her cry !!!! A customer saw my mom and helped her out . Instead of standing there telling my mother she was dumb she could have walked her through it ! If this is the type of manager you have in your building what a poor leadership you have in your building ! I can only imagine how she must be with the employees! Probably the last time I shop at this supermarket. Not only have they raised prices significantly in the last 10 days, as usual, one checkstand open, and there were seven people waiting in line with their baskets. Furthermore, while I was in the produce department at approximately 11 AM today, they were out of many produce items that had not yet been restocked, because the produce man was engaged in a conversation with another employee for approximately 15 minutes. I didn't understand the conversation because it was all in Spanish. Lastly, some of their digital coupons cannot be used, because the produce items were not even there. And I also note, that the number of digital coupons for healthy produce have significantly decreased. Now the coupons favor mostly unhealthy pre-packaged foods. Those, of course, have much higher profit margin's. read more

On August 26, 2025 at 6:33 PM, I had a deeply disappointing experience at Vons Store #2039 (19333 Victory Blvd, Reseda, CA). While using the self-checkout, I attempted to cancel a mushroom item but the system didn't register the cancellation. I paid $10 in cash and received only $5.10 in change instead of $7.01. I asked for help and was directed to a cashier named Evella. She told me, "That was your mistake--you rang it twice," even though I had tried to cancel the duplicate item. I explained to her that I didn't know the machine required staff intervention to cancel properly. She dismissed my concern, accused me of giving her attitude, refused to provide a receipt until I insisted, and then told me not to return to the store. I've been a loyal Vons customer for over 30 years and have never been treated so disrespectfully. After the incident, I looked up reviews and saw that other customers have reported similar rude behavior from staff at this location. I agree with those reviewers--this is clearly a recurring issue that deserves attention. read more

This evening, your employee, Christian, told me, "Hope you have a bad day!" He is always rude to customers, and I even complained to their corporate office about him. He never offers a bag at self checkout, I had to do it on 4th of July once for a couple customers just to be kind, one responded, "You should work here, he's such an asshole!" Most times, he's either on his phone and/or talking to another associate, ignoring customers. I've complained to his fellow associates, and they even agree, one said, "I hate working with him, please contact corporate." This evening (2) employees asked me to forward a complaint. Definitely prefer this Vons to the one in Tarzana as far as the layout and the somewhat friendliness of the Team Memebers. I was really surprised at the low energy customer service during checkout. Nobody want a production but they kind of just threw everything in a bag and forgot to give me my monopoly tickets. The third time it's happened in the last few years of coming here on and off. The produce is decent, not the best price but definitely a-okay quality. Most things are usually replenished and available. A few vegetarian and vegan items have been added and a few rotated out. Highly recommend Sahale Nuts during checkout for a snack usually $1.50 with vons card and the fruit bowls (especially the pineapple, 8oz I believe) are pretty enjoyable. The store is fine but employee named Eladio(?) is regularly rude and unhelpful. I wondered if it was toward me specifically until I witnessed another customer confront him about his unhelpful and unpleasant behavior. I believe this employee worked at Tarzana location also. I'd prefer shop elsewhere rather than deal with employees like this. 2- The sales and discounts are too cumbersome. The Just for You program is simple enough where simply inputting a phone number at register is all that is required but the other discounts that require apps and scanning and downloading is too much to deal with. I recently gave up on trying to connect the dots required to get a great price on cherries and ended up just leaving them there. Just give us the discount if you're going to give us one at all. Just tried to fool me with their new promotion trick. Had great deals advertised on their 3-day Cyber Sale. So I decided to try it. I wanted to try DriveUp & Go. Nowhere does it say extra charges will apply. $3.95 was the delivery charge to my car in parking lot and they had the nerve to charge me tax on the full and NOT the sale price of a sale item. Also whenever I try to shop here the store is always out the sale items so I am usually forced to drive over to Albertsons to find what I want. Also their staff can be grumpy and sometimes nowhere to be found to help get items off the top shelf. I am short. read more

It is big enough to get everything you need. But it is not as big as Ralph. So why do I keep coming back here? Only because it is right next to a chase bank and a Starbucks coffee. I was shopping in the store on Wednesday after work and I went to self check out and bought a bunch of boxes of pasta and four bags of shredded cheese as I was paying after I had bagged my groceries a woman came over and started yelling at me excuse me excuse me and I look over and she's like you need to pay for your purchase. And I was truly confused because i was literally about to tap my card and I look at her and I'm like I am paying she responds saying no you didn't ring the shredded cheese up and you bagged it. Again I'm lost. So I tell her it's on the screen she then checks how many I scanned and it's 4 and she's like yeah but I saw you put more in the bag. I'm like no I scanned 4 and put 4 in the bag. And she's like no let me see and starts aggressively searching my bags and she felt very stupid when she saw that only 4 bags of cheese were in the bag because that's what I purchased but never bothered to apologize but just walked away. And as I was leaving I tell her most people say I'm sorry when they make a mistake and she proceeds to walk away again. Like what kind of an atmosphere is vons trying to push. I now do not feel comfortable shopping at my local grocery store because the Manager Martha accuses hard working people of stealing $2 bags of cheese. I'm disgusted by this Vons' policy on pets. California law prohibits pets from entering grocery stores...especially ones with fresh, unwrapped produce. The Vons' store has a posted sign outside saying no pets are allowed (service animals okay). Nevertheless, the place was full of dogs: dogs in carts (which will hold other people's food later), dogs walking on leashes, dogs in arms, etc. I spoke to a shift manager who informed that Vons policy is that he's not allowed to say or do anything about it. He's not even allowed to ask the person if the animal is a service animal. The best he could do is let the store manager know, who could then call me at a later date. Well, that's useless. A policy that isn't enforced isn't a policy; it's a suggestion. The reason dogs, and other pets, are generally banned from grocery stores is that they carry disease, disrupt the shopping environment, can't be guaranteed non-aggressive, and--at the least--carry dander that many folks are allergic to. This Vons clearly does not care about the health, wellbeing, or safety of its customers. So, if Vons isn't concerned about the spread of diseases, as evidenced by their allowing dogs to roam the store, tell me again why we're wearing masks?? I hope to not shop at this Vons again, and I encourage others to avoid it if they want to stay healthy. read more
