On a recent visit to 30A, my wife and I and our friends wanted to enjoy a nice meal while watching…read morethe sun set on the nearby water. We looked up reviews and came across Bud & Alley's Restaurant as a likely way to do so. We were quite pleased with our experience once we found a table. When we arrived where you could make a reservation for a table downstairs, we were told the better views were upstairs with tables available for anyone who found them. We walked around for a while looking for a table opening up and though we didn't find any tables on the deck upstairs, we did find one with a gorgeous view well before sunset. The server being one of only a few there that night checked on us many times and was very helpful. We each ordered drinks. I got a Frozen Beach Bellini consisting of Lamarca prosecco with peach purée topped with an edible orchid. Then, when ordering dinner, my friend and I each ordered an eight ounce filet mignon consisting of grilled asparagus, Yukon mashed potatoes, and bordelaise sauce. My wife ordered a roasted salmon consisting of green lentils with pancetta and fennel, arugula, and dijon vinaigrette. We were quite delighted with everything we ate and drank! Bud & Alley's has been an award winning iconic restaurant in Seaside Florida since 1986, serving delicious farm- and fish-to-table food, offering exceptional service and making seaside memories for generations. Their restaurant hours are daily from 8 AM to 9:30 PM while the roof deck bar is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM. They no longer have a happy hour though they have a limited menu Their website (https://www.budandalleys.com) has a lot of great information from the menu, reservation page, newsletter signup (for news, events, recipes and offers), events, reviews, beach cam, online ordering, gallery, press stories, and even links to other Bud and Alley restaurants. You can also sign up for Bud and Alley's Rewards at https://www.toasttab.com/s-w-d-r-grill-inc-dba-bud-alleys/rewardsSignup where you can earn earn 1 point for every $1.50 spent and unlock $5 off every 50 points. There may even be a birthday bonus. As a fun fact, the restaurant is actually named after a dog and cat and not people. You can see that in the logo. If you're in the area and want a good meal with good service and an excellent view, check it out!

The outside was finished nicely, but inside the crab was runny and was as if it was thawed out and then they prepared it. A mushy mess! The grilled grouper entree was better but low on flavor. Sweet potato fries were cold. The calamari appetizer never showed up and only two people working the bar (which was slammed). We had to get up multiple times to ask for water or a napkin, etc. They gave us a rag to wipe down the outside tables before we sat down! ( great, now we work there!) The most enjoyable part of the dinner was the Big Bear sourdough bread! Bud & Alley's waterfront restaurant is not fine dining and expect to find better food elsewhere unless you're just looking for some great drinks and average food, and a sunset then pull up a chair. Also make note in Seaside there are resort fees added like on our bill of $180, we had to pay a $4.38 Entertainment fee and not negotiable. It only takes one bad experience and this was it. on another note, Bud and Alley's Italian restaurant with pizzas are much better choice!

We went with a group of seven and everything from the atmosphere to the food made it a really fun night out. The location and vibe are fantastic -- lively but relaxed, the kind of place where you can easily settle in with friends and enjoy a good meal. We started with appetizers for the table: calamari, onion rings, and volcano shrimp. All three disappeared quickly. The calamari was really good and normally comes served over jalapeños, but since I don't eat them the kitchen kindly put them on the side for us. The onion rings were fantastic, and the volcano shrimp had a little heat (which the spice lovers at the table really liked). For dinner I had the hibachi steak over fried rice with yum-yum sauce, cooked medium. It was excellent -- tender, flavorful, and a generous portion. Others in our group ordered the same dish and loved it as well. The chicken nachos were huge (normally an appetizer but easily a full meal) with really tasty queso that had a bit of spice. The burger and flatbreads at the table also got great reviews. We also tried the chocolate dessert bomb at the end (not sure of the exact name), and it was fantastic -- chocolate mousse and cake inside a chocolate shell with whipped cream. Definitely worth sharing. The drinks were great, the service was friendly, and the whole place had a welcoming feel. One thing we really appreciated as well: they offer a military discount, which was a nice touch. We're locals and this was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. Highly recommend if you're in the Panama City Beach / 30A area.

We sat on the patio and enjoyed the sunset. When they brought the oysters, I wasn't expecting them to be as fresh and flavorful as the we're. Boy, they didn't disappoint and were on it in all phases tonight. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a cheerful staff. They asked where we wanted to sit and then one of the hostesses took us to our seats. From there Bri took over!!! She was very polite and knowledgeable of the menu. She told us about the specials and also items she recommended. We had the calamari to start. It was light, crispy and paired great with the two dipping sauces that accompanied it. Then we had the dinner special which was the blackened redfish in a delicious tomato sauce and the Parmesan flounder. We also had the mashed potatoes, red beans and rice and hushpuppies. Everything was delicious! The fish was cooked to perfection and the sauces on both dishes were amazing. The red beans and rice were way better than anything in New Orleans. It was flavorful and had plenty of sausage to put everything together. The mashed potatoes were very good also. If I had to say something needed a little help, I would say add just a little butter to those potatoes and they will be even better. We had dessert to go and I had the dream pie. I can't say enough about this pie. Bri told me I would love it and she was correct. It is definitely a must on my next visit. It was savory and creamy at the same time. If you're in the area, please put this restaurant on your list. You won't be disappointed. Ask for Bri!! She is amazing and also the young ladies at the front were the best group of hostesses that I've seen in a long time. Oh, the live music and as also great.
