After 3 hours of diligent work, Joe found a tiny section of wire that was bad in conduit (and not under the ground). Wow. I'll also add that the owner Pat Snyder was good to work with. He provided me a much more reasonable proposal for trenching the yard and installing new wiring that would have, among other things, done way less damage to my plantings.
