I honestly miss this place even though the bread is not probably cooked all the time as cold. I just love this meal sometimes they rush it. It feels like they're just sitting up cold chicken and just stuffing it. I don't think anything is fresher as what I remember but I just hope I don't get sick from it. I really love this combination of barbecue chicken. I almost ate it religiously every week at work and after work for meetings, I would crave this type of umami flavor. I love tomato and the combination of the sauce. I love the seating. It's a little bit noisy, but the service is fast, but there's way too much orders and I could see the staff panicking all the time every single time I come morning and evening. I would never review a mall chain restaurant but I had lunch at the Galleria Bread Co as I have for years. Today will be my last time. I got a bowl of soup and it was $9.00 and just with a tiny bag of chips on the side that they tried to give me their hard bread instead. I kept looking at the price on the menu that it couldn't be right. The worst part was that the soup was not good and that the restaurant was mostly empty and looking increasingly shabby. Had to attend a VA C&P exam this morning next to Panera on Clayton Rd. Got there early so went Panera to grab a cup of coffee. You know tipping requests are out of touch when I'm asked how much I want to tip on $3.27 cup of coffee. The only service provided was handing me an empty cup and taking my money. Came here for a weekend lunch and to do a bit of work and it was pretty easy to find a seat which is great. - Summer Corn Chowder - The soup was a little bit too salty for my taste but I appreciate how much veggies they give you. Also it goes very well with the side of baguette if you get the "you pick 2" option. - Asian Sesame Salad with Chicken - To be honest, this is quite comparable to the Chinese Chicken Salad at Cheesecake Factory right next door. Rather just come here and eat this version that is a lot cheaper. Didn't care much for the chicken, but the sauce they put into this and the wonton strips are amazing. I think its my favorite salad I've gotten at Panera so far. Overall, not a bad Panera location at all. Definitely able to grab seats even on a busy weekend. read more

This review is based on my very first visit that I had when I went to Missouri at this particular location which is attached to a shopping mall. The crew working here that I had to interact with was pleasant. I did choose to dine in here for my lunch and while doing so is when the entire location witnessed a very rude, loud and disrespectful customer all his family stood in back of him watching him act this way. The crew once again kept their composure while also warning the customer of his behaviors but at the same time had to ask Security to escort him out of the location. I would not blame this experience on making a decision to visit this location again as I feel that I would stop in and have a bite to eat. It's a damn shame that Panera/St Louis Bread Co has turned into just another franchised restaurant with mediocre food. I can remember when the French onion soup was covered in a layer of cheese. Now you're lucky to get a few strands of shredded cheese. As evident in attached picture... Also, the prices are extremely high. I would recommend going to a local "mom and pop" restaurant instead of a franchise. Finally, there wasn't a friendly face in the entire restaurant. Everyone looked pissed off and angry at the world. As far as food quality, I think this may be the top Panera / Bread Co in the area. The last few visits it has been good and the staff have been on top of things. They seem to have given up on pagers and you'll have to ask for your drink cup at the counter, they don't put any out. Yeah, it's spendy for what you get, but so many places are these days. read more

Outside of the food court, it's your most affordable mall dining option and it's nice and predictable. It's right by the parking lot, so it's convenient on your way in or out of the mall. I was really disappointed in this Bread Co. I normally have NO issue with them which is why I am slightly bummed. I went after lunch hour, there was no line. The young lady who took my order was prompt and nice enough. Once I ordered I went to get my food. When it came up it had the wrong side. No big deal, right? When I asked for my apple vs chips you think I might have been asking a bit much. Maybe it was the stress of the end of the lunch hour. But the young gentleman who put my sandwich and chips on the counter, took the chips off, tossed them aside, and tossed my apple on to my plate. I was quick enough to catch it. This is the Panera house! I didn't know that Panera started in St. Louis, and that's what it is called! I love many things about this store: Ordering ahead, or ordering from a Kiosk to avoid human contact (hello Sheldon), or walk up and be greeted by lovely employees! Friendly, patient, and just nice! The soups are delicious, and sandwiches are perfect. (Yeah, my to go place for lunch.) Also, I love that when you order a drink, you can get a dessert for a dollar! And my barista cut me a generous portion of the delicious coffee crumble cake. Yummmm! Sure beats the apple I picked for my healthy side option. So my wife tried new Buffalo chick sandwich with fried pickles, chicken burnt crumbs for pickle chip, asked to see manager, big mistake she made the meal, didn't really see an issue with it. Asked wife what was wrong, and when she tried to explain, and was told well that's just Ignorant, in my book you never ever argue with a customer, error number one on her behalf. Error number two, she copped an attitude and she was right we were wrong and continued to get even more rude. This is by far the worst Panera I have ever dined at. I have worked in the St. Louis Galleria mall for almost 10 years. I have never received one order from here that I didn't have to send back and correct. It is infuriating. I have even tried calling multiple times to double check that my order was correct before I grabbed it off the rapid pick up shelf. Nope. Not once. I have also been a frequent victim of incredibly under weighed portions. I got a Panini with literally no chicken on one entire half. Just bread. No meat. BUT don't worry, they will be quick to charge you for any additional meat, just make sure they give you the original portion size at least. The Galleria location of Bread Co. requires a mask to order even though there is a plastic barrier between us. However you can walk around and sit in the restaurant without one. There is NO mask mandate in St. Louis County either. This requirement has no grounds on which to be implemented. No other restaurant in the Galleria requires masks to order. If the employee had to take my order at the table, would I be required to wear a mask? Of course not! I'm at my table. It's a Covid free zone! I've been to Bread Co in South County and there were no mask signs and no one was required to wear one. I will most likely not go to this location again. read more

This is the perfect spot to crash if you need a midday break from shopping. It's usually a busy place but never too crowded and you can always find a place to sit. I've given St. Louis bread Co plenty of business throughout my years here and I think this location is the best one. I often go to the one on South Grand bc it's close to my house but they're always out of my favorite type of bread or something of that sort. This location has never disappointed and I can continue to get my you pick two menu items and mix and match my combos to my hearts delight. My favorite cold sandwich is Sierra turkey and I recommend the frontega Panini, though everything here is delicious so you couldn't go wrong. This was one of Bread Co's less finer locations. Tables were dirty - floor was also dirty. Staff was - for the most part - standing around idle as well as the manager. Might want to take some of that downtime to clean up the mess in the dining room areas. I actually saw customers cleaning their own tables off. "If you got time to lean, you got time to clean." The associate who took our order got the destination incorrect (we asked for dine-in). Our order sat on the counter bagged (because I was not aware it was my order) for a short time until I realized it was mine. I didn't get the warm and fuzzies at this particular location - mainly because of the cleanliness and the fact that the staff were not motivated to do anything about it. I work in the mall, and it's easiest to place an order through their app (which is actually amazing), and go downstairs to pick it up. This isn't the first time I've been extremely let down. I got the chicken salad sandwich, and there was so little stuff on it that it took 4 bites to get anything besides bread. Myself and coworkers of mine have also had beyond reasonable wait times for rapid pickup orders, and we have all heard the prep people making comments about how we can wait because there can be long waits in our store. read more

I wish zero stars was an option on here. This I by far the WORST Panera I have ever been in. I work in the mall and I have a short amount of time for my lunch breaks and they NEVER GET MY ORDER RIGHT or it takes them forever to pour a cup of soup!! I ordered the kale and romaine caeser salad and they left out the kale...which is in the name of the item! My manager has also had terrible issues with the service here. It's not worth the money for what you get- at least at this location. I have had great experiences elsewhere. But now, I have to triple check my orders before I leave there now because there is always something missing. The management is quick to remake the food if there is a screw up....probably because they know its a regular occurrence. Also the staff act like they hate each other- which is actually quite entertaining. I love watching all the eye rolls and snappy remarks to everyone while I wait for them to make my order wrong. I will keep this very short and to the point. This is about all st louis bread co. and panera breads in the country. This food is horrible. Anyone eating this crap and thinking it is good needs to have their taste buds replaced. The roast beef taste like cheap processed meat that has been heated in a microwave. The bread is just barely above average and the coffee is no better than your local quick trip gas station. This company has marketed this place brilliantly. I mean they have actually fooled millions into believing this a high end ,high quality food and beverage restaurant by decorating all the restaurants like some Tuscan coffee shop.Take away all the decor and ask yourself this.... Whould I really go back to this place? The CEOs of this place should hire some new food developers before people realize what it is they are doing. Trying to pedal some low quality food and drinks into a nice presentation so they can charge a premium for it all. They are taking advantage of the fact that most people dont know what good food and coffee should taste like. I guess in reality I should take my hat off to them, or maybe their marketing company.
