What a cozy place! Went here for dinner on a Friday night with friends and it was great! We had…read morereservations at 645 and we were seated right away. It was pretty busy inside and on the patio, so definitely recommend reservations. The staff was very friendly and helped us pick out good options. We had the fresh cheese appetizer to start and it was sooo good and followed it with the spinach and pepperoni pizzas. Both were good but the spinach was my favorite!!! We were celebrating my friend's birthday so they gave him a free cookie! So kind of them and such a good cookie!! Lots of big chocolate chunks. We also ordered a slice of almond polenta cake and it was fantastic. Overall, a great little spot with good service and food, so I'll have to come back to try their lunch menu!

Finally made it here after hearing about it from pretty much everyone I know. Came for a weekend…read morelunch and it was packed. The inside is small, maybe around 20 seats, though I think there's an outdoor area too. We got seated after about 15 to 20 minutes for a party of 3 with no reservation. The menu is simple but really well done and very vegetarian friendly. I got the butternut squash soup which was so warm and comforting, and the egg salad sandwich was my favorite. Super filling and flavorful. My friend got the smoked beet sandwich and you can really taste the smokiness and it was like a vegetarian BBQ. Another friend did the soup and sandwich combo and loved it. Our server was really sweet and forgot a couple things but honestly given how slammed they were I completely get it. The bread lives up to the hype. Definitely a must if you're in the area and want a really solid lunch.

This is one of my go-to spots for a hangout, it's wonderful. There's enough seating, and the hotpot…read moreis easily shareable. I flinch whenever I hear the "movoc" and I get so excited I want to throw up whenever someone suggests going to movoc for a hangout. There are lots of toppings to choose from, and I think that the concept of hot pot price by weight just like FroYo is fun and unique. Service is fast, and clean. The hot pot was delicious and not too spicy and the sauces they had to offer were very delicious as well. Not too salty. It's a wonderful place, whether you go alone or with friends.

This was my first experience at a hot pot by the pound restaurant. I've only been to all you can…read moreeat hot pot restaurants, so I was excited to try this place out. Apparently, I wasn't the only one because this place got packed by 6p on a weekday! The line was out the door. It can be a little confusing for a first time goer as you enter the place and grab a bowl to select the ingredients you want to eat. The minimum weight that you have to buy is 0.9 lbs, but you really won't know how much your bowl weighs until you get up to the cashier and put it on the scale. My bowl was underweight my first time through, so I went back to grab more ingredients. If I had to guess the minimum cost for a 0.9 lb bowl, it's probably about $16, which is a pretty good price for a hot pot. My bowl weighed about 0.97 and it was way more than I could comfortably eat. The next decision you have to make after you have selected your ingredients is the base and spicy level. I went with #1 Oil splash spicy soup at medium spice level. Now, I enjoy spicy foods, but this was at the upper limit of enjoyability. Although tasty, I think the oil in the broth got to be too much and I will want to try a different base next time. After you pay for your food, you get a number which you take to a table of your choosing and wait for your bowl to come out (they cook it for you). There is a drinking water station next to the free rice station, which was around the corner from the complimentary pickled vegetable station. Overall, positive experience and I would return for more. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2026

It is also nice they offer half's and full sandwiches so you can try multiple half sandwiches! I've tried the Mississippi River, Phil and cheds, and the Alcatraz. The Alcatraz was far my favorite one. The Mississippi River was good too. They also have a back patio that's dog friendly! I cant wait to come back and visit and try more!

WOULD recommend (general). Stopped by late morning for a quick bite, I have been here a few times…read morebefore but never actually ordered anything but its location is pretty good, right in the heart of the grove. There wasn't that much line when I went, they take your other at the kiosk by the bar. They have a large assortment of sandwiches, comes in whole OR half (which is half the price of a whole). I ordered 2 half sandwiches, "The Meatball" and "The Steak Out". It didn't take long at all to make my sandwiches and they also have options to customize specialty sandwiches if specific toppings are wanted. The Steak Out was the 1st sandwich tried, and was the best one out of the two. The steak was cooked medium rare but isn't too rare at all or overcooked past that if you are worried about that either. Not only that, but the jalapenos and the pepper mayo are to die for, and they didn't completely soak it in sauce (which is a common concern as well). Everything tastes so freshly made, with half a sandwich honestly being more than enough for 1 sitting. Overall rating 8.9/10. The Meatball was very good as well, meatballs were cooked well throughout and tender to the bite. I am not completely mad at the Baguette being the bread of choice but they couldn't have went wrong with ciabatta neither. It was a very solid sandwich, nothing too extraordinary but nothing I can really complain about neither. Overall rating 8.3/10. In past visits, I have also tried the Enzo Gorlomi (basically a spicy italian) which I thought was better than both sandwiches I tried during that visit, but I may be biased because I love spicy italian sandwiches. Should still try though in my opinion. All in all, I would definitely come back to this place when I'm in the area, pricing is pretty good for the food amount and quality you are getting. Vibes are cool in there, they seem like a business with a lot of experience doing what they do. I wouldn't say they are the absolute best in St. Louis... yet, but they are definitely up there for sure. They are also open until 1:30AM Tues - Sat so its a great late night option.
