What rock have I seriously been living under? This is probably my most favorite place that I've been to in quite some time. I went back twice within one week. Clearly I'm obsessed. I love the fact you can order right at the kiosk machine or at the counter. The staff were super friendly when we dined in. The ingredients are fresh and the food tastes really good. If you are looking to try something different I would encourage you to give this a shot. They have hibachi, ramen, and bowls you can create on your own. I will preface this review to let readers know I lived in Hawaii for over 5 years. I am very particular about the interpretation of Hawaiian food here in the Midwest. This space is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. The inside space is beautiful, transporting back to my time on the islands. They are counter service restaurant. The menu offers a big variety of options, so there is something for everyone. I love tempura and went with the tempura bowl. A generous amount of food, a little more than I was able to finish. Everything was fresh and tasty. I also tried the popcorn chicken and it's a must-do. Hawaii Poke also specializes in boba tea. Great experience here. My wife and I both love poke, so a stop here was inevitable. But wow, everything is so fresh and the portions are very generous. We both had poke bowls, picking bowls with a variety of fish on them. We are not, however, bubble tea fans, so I can't comment on that. The orders were delivered quickly and my son enjoyed his popcorn chicken nuggets. Daniela had the Hawaii bowl while I had the Tuna Supreme bowl. Both were magnificent! Wow! What a pleasant surprise! I've driven past this place several times but decided today was the day where I finally give them a try. Up until today, I thought these places only had raw ingredients that you could make bowls out of, but turns out, this one offers hibachi! Upon walking in, I was shocked at how big this place was. You'd never guess it, considering it's in a strip surrounded by other businesses. Right away, I noticed the ample seating and how clean it was. The line to order starts on the right and since there were a few people ahead of me, I had a chance to scan the menu. I'll admit, I intended on trying poke, but once I saw they offered hibachi, it was a wrap. I got the hibachi chicken and shrimp with white rice (jasmine), and an order of veggie spring rolls. The hibachi meals come with yummy sauce on the side, which is a mayo based sauce, so I substituted that for teriyaki. You also have the option to get brown rice as well. While all the drink choices looked yummy, I decided to be basic and stick with water. After taxes, this set me back $21.26. After paying, I took a seat at a two top by the window. I must say, those chairs are some of the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in. After a small wait, my food was brought out. Everything looked incredibly delicious and I was surprised I got so much (I guess I was expecting it to be smaller), but trust, I'm NOT complaining! My first bite of the meal was even better than I had hoped. Everything tasted fresh and really appealed to my palate. Even though they call it "hibachi", it reminded me more of a stir-fry. Regardless, it's quite delectable and I have no complaints. The veggie rolls were hot! So much so that I burned my mouth! Once I let them cool, they tasted great and paired well with the sauce that came with it. After making a minor dent in my meal (only eating half) I boxed up the rest and took it home. The rice was way overcooked & dry, TINY portion of fish (literally a small cookie scooper) ,you get more vegetable than fish, "sweet onions" are actually red onions, their "kani salad" is just shredded imitation crab on a bed of spring mix, & their spring rolls tasted like it came from Costco. Had a great lunch at Hawaii Poke yesterday! There was no wait when we arrived. We looked through the menu and selected two signature poke bowls to try - the tempura shrimp and Hawaiian bowls. We also looked through their boba tea selection and decided to try the coconut and mango boba teas. We placed our orders with the friendly staff member who greeted us and grabbed a seat! There was plenty of seating available and I appreciated the spacious layout. It was also very clean and well-maintained! My coconut boba tea was a delicious treat and my tempura shrimp bowl was yummy. The bowl was very filling with lots of rice and toppings provided. Was pleasantly surprised with my first experience at Hawaii Poke. Walking in, I love the layout. It's clean, neat, and fresh... just like the food. I was picking up a decent sized to go order. It was ready when I got in and the worker was prompt and friendly while retrieving my order. I was surprised it was not more busy given I went right at noon. Regardless, the food was great. I got the Worcester steak and spicy shrimp for protein. Both were good. The shrimp did not have any spice, though. To accompany I grabbed pineapple, mango, cucumbers, broccoli, and jalapeño. Despite the unexpected pairings. It tasted really balanced. The sweetness from the fruit cut into the acidity and spicy of the cucumber and jalapeño. My favorite part was probably their sweet chili sauce. It was incredible. Not much kick, but a great sweetness. The portions are pretty small. They give you a lot of rice, but the other aspects of the dish were pretty light, but I would still say the value is better than most lunch spots. **This is not about the quality or flavor of the food.** Came to get lunch for three people after placing the order online. When I got there a little past the expected time, there was still about a ten minute wait - understandable and no harm done. Finally the order was completed and handed off to me and I was on my way. After getting back to my destination, I discovered a missing item and all three bowls were almost completely wrong like all of the requested ingredients were shuffled and distributed without caring to match each individual bowl. Upon calling, the young woman who answered the phone responded like she was expecting me to call about the missing item. I also informed her about the issue with all three bowls, but I just asked for a refund on the missing item. She worked on the refund, but requested my credit card number to complete the refund - having been the victim of fraud, I don't give that out. For the issue with the bowls, the offer was a gift or coupon for a free drink, but I would just have to tell them next time I came in. I told her I would never remember that offer and it wasn't necessary. With the issue regarding the credit card number, the alternative was a gift card that would be left there and I would just have to remind them next time - again, probably wouldn't happen. We ate the bowls and they tasted fine, but none of them matched what was ordered; this is a disappointment, of course. The sum of the individual parts made this experience kind of a disaster. The only upside was the friendliness of the workers. Sadly, though, this put a really bad taste in my mouth and will likely lead to me not coming back. read more

There's plenty of free parking, as the restaurant shares the lot with neighboring stores. The restaurant is clean, open, and airy with plenty of seating indoors for patrons interested in dining in. Hawaii Poke offers a few different methods when it comes to ordering: in-person, via a kiosk in store, or online. We opted to order in-person and was greeted by super friendly staff who also offered great suggestions on how to build our poke bowls. The portion of our bowls were larger than anticipated and filled with fresh ingredients. We loved that you had the freedom to add to your heart's content (yay for lotus root chips!). I did feel that the sauce combinations were often sweet, lacking any spicy (despite there being "spicy" options) or savory components. We were unimpressed with the rock shrimp tempura. The shrimp were small and clearly came frozen in a bag. For $6.25, I didn't feel this was worth it and would have preferred to see better quality shrimp that's properly coated in panko and fried on the menu. Bubble tea was delicious and I loved that you could customize the amount of sweetness. Wish there were more flavor and topping options (i.e. crystal boba). Service: Once you enter, you can either use the kiosk to order or you can go to the counter directly as well. Food: I ordered tuna supreme and my friend ordered crispy chicken momo and replaced crispy chicken with curried chicken. Tuna supreme: Remember this is raw. You get a scoop of tuna, marinated tuna and raw tuna cubes. The portion is really big comparing to other poke places. If you are really not that hungry. You can save a portion. Every bite is flavorful with right quantity of ingredients. Very generous with tuna and veggies. I never felt like it's more rice vs other ingredients. My friend liked the crispy chicken momo too . Arrived after 2 pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was empty, though a lady followed us inside for takeout. Hubby & I were eating there then going somewhere nearby. They now want orders on paper if you don't do it electronically on their kiosk. The stand with the order sheet & pens isn't designed for more than 1 person at a time, so the lady behind us had to wait til we got out the of way. The stand could be arranged better. One thing I hate about paper ordering is when I'm not sure what certain items look like, I have to take a chance if I order, whereas if we could order in the line, we can see what it is. For example, another poké place names tunas differently, and one time I got the shredded like canned tuna version when I wanted chunks/ cubes. It's not described online either. I created my own bowl and husband got a signature bowl. The server was not stingy with any component, which is a plus here. A Single Protein bowl is plenty for me and I'm glad this place gives the option. The paper order does not give the option of "half salad and half rice" at the base, which we got last time we ordered with the cashier, so that was disappointing. Now that I looked online, I see for the base I could Choose up to 2. That needs to be on the paper. The usual rice serving is too much rice for me. Love this new spot near me. Interior is nice, clean, and open. Staff very friendly. Menu teeters on the edge of being too big (ala cheesecake factory). Review is ONLY for the poke bowl. Got build it yourself with salmon and marinated tuna. Both were very fresh. The bowl itself was VERY generous in quantity. Good proportion of rice and fish. Been here 2 times now. The place itself seems clean enough and the staff was friendly. First visit was a bit of a disappointment. Maybe it was my choice of toppings, but the Poke bowl wasn't as tasty as I had hoped or as ones I'vehad before, but it could have been worse, and since I didn't get sick (a constant fear of someone who frequently eats raw fish) I couldn't complain enough not to give them a second chance. Today I tried them for the ramen. I was much happier this time. The broth was rich, the ratio of toppings, noodle and broth were just right, the egg was more hard boiled than soft, but considering it took a 20 minute ride with me back home and american restaurants are usually less likely to serve them soft boiled anyways, I wasn't taking points off for that. Overall pretty good. Wouldn't be apposed to coming back when the hankering for ramen peaks again. read more

Had a really great experience with our first time at Hawaii Poke! We were nervous because of the generic boba poster out front before it opened but were pleasantly surprised with how good everything was! Bowls were easy to customize with lots of unique options, you can get sauce on the side if you're unsure about sauce combos, ingredients tasted fresh, and everything came out quickly (the chicken Katsu took longer since they made it fresh to order but it was such good fried chicken). They were quite a good price for a poke bowl as well ($12-$13 ish). Did not interact much with staff since we ordered from the computer. Visited for the first time Friday night. It was nice to see a steady supply of customers coming and going. I tried a medium bowl which in hindsight was a little too much. I was able to try 2 proteins. Loved the poke but the spicy tuna had too much of a kick for me. The drinks offered looked interesting and I will have to try it next time. I saw that a new poke place had opened in Creve Coeur and wanted to go check it out! There's plenty of parking in the shopping plaza, and the staff were very welcoming when we entered the store. I was originally going to order online, but I wanted to do 1/2 rice and 1/2 salad, which wasn't an option online but was doable in store. I chose to build my own bowl with two scoops or protein, and I was very impressed with the variety they offered. The ingredients were fresh and very flavorful-- I ended up with a solidly portioned bowl that was filling for one meal. My total was around $15, but I thought in general it was pretty worth it-- I was also happy to see that they have a loyalty program where buying 10 entrees will reward you with a free bowl. I've been hearing good things about their boba as well so I'll have to be back to try that and get another bowl sometime soon! read more

I had a kind of weird, kind of delicious combination of ingredients that I wouldn't get again but was still fresh and tasty! I got a poke bowl with (2) proteins - crispy chicken and steak. That crispy chicken is for real! I'm not used to chicken that is, well, crispy! But still moist and tasty. I got a few mix ins that looked good, including a crab salad that was also really good by itself. Topped it off with House Yummy Sauce and it somehow came together. I am giving it five stars because of the food. My wife loved it. She keeps asking to get more. I especially like the teas with bulba. Tasty and they put them in a container that is really sealed for travel. I liked the look. The inside was nice and clean. The inside is small for large families but they have enough tables to move around. Not a candle light vibe but if you wife likes the food why does that matter. :) it's more like a clean cafe vibe. My experience but only one time so far was I ordered early and had a timeline to meet. I was frustrated that when I got there that I had to wait while other people who walked in were served first. Another call in order person had to wait for walk ins too. I felt doing a walk-in to go would have been faster. This was dinner time so take my experience with a grain of salt.
