I visited Stacked for the first time yesterday. There was a 35-40 minute wait when we arrived as the restaurant was packed But the wait ended up only being about 20 minutes in the end. We took a booth near the entrance. I don't recall her name but our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The noise level in the restaurant was very high. There are few soft surfaces so there's nothing to soak up the sound. That was kinda off putting as we had to speak with raised voices but what are you gonna do?? It was almost noon so I decided to order lunch. My sister also ordered lunch but my mom and friend decided on breakfast. I wasn't overly impressed with the menu but I suppose the options were fairly decent. I decided on the grilled ham and cheese with fries. The bread wasn't Texas toast so it was thin but other than the it was pretty tasty. The ham slices tasted as though it was bone-in ham versus ham that came out of can or something. I didn't care for the french fries though. They tasted weird to me. My sister also ordered the grilled cheese but she didn't care for her sandwich. She didn't think her food tasted very good. We both ordered the Greek lemon soup with our sandwiches and it was really good. A tad too lemony in taste but I still enjoyed it. My friend and my mom loved their breakfast plates. They had pancakes and french toast respectively. The pancakes were huge, light and very fluffy. The portion sizes are huge so we all took leftovers home. I'd be hesitant to order lunch again at Stacks but I'd return just to check out their breakfast. Overall, I wasn't all that impressed with Stacks but it's nice to have a new dining option in the area. Our bill was about $50 for four people which wasn't too bad. read more

Finally the Crestwood location is open. I get to know these restaurants when I was living in Oak Lawn and I lived in an apartment just behind them. I was on vacation that week and they had just opened. They were awesome then. So good that I went back there almost every day of that week. Now I moved and Oak Lawn was just a bit far. With this new location now they are much closer and I am so happy. Food is as good as it was in the Oak Lawn location. The place is just bigger with a lot more parking. You should try them. No secrets here. Great ingredients that make a great breakfast with very large portions. Price is good. The only downside is that is as busy as the other location but is what happens when the food is good. Worth the wait! read more

Went to Stacked today to have lunch. I had came just to get a steak because they USED to be good. Well the steak is drastically smaller than they used to be for way more money, but okay that's cool. But the steak that was brought to my table tasted like bad meat. I called my waitress to tell her and she asked for a piece to take it back to the cook. The cook told me it was the seasoning. So I asked for the manager. She came and I asked for another steak she said that the next steak would come from the same place and she has been serving them all day with no complaint. I then told her well then I don't want it. She told me she can't refund steaks or seafood she would have to call the owner. She called the owner but got no answer so she came back and said she could only refund half price of the steak. How can you sell bad meat but not correct the issue! I used to LOVE this place. After today I will never go back. I also ordered a corned beef hash meal in which the plate was hot but the food was cold...HOw! The only thing that was acceptable was my sons chicken tenders and fries. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant anymore the food and service has tanked!!! read more

I come here regularly and I can proudly say they have the best breakfast period. As a matter of fact I'm in the parking lot waiting for my Stacked Special with French Toast. If you get their eggs, get cheese! Makes them so much more enjoyable read more

We were in town for a family get together and stopped by on the suggestion of my sister-in-law. We waited for around 25 minutes, but it is worth the wait! Once we ordered, our food was served quickly. There were 9 people in our party and our waitress kept our glasses filled. The food was GREAT! I wished we lived closer because we would eat at Stacked often. We are looking forward to returning on our next trip! read more

Visted Stacked 4 weeks ago and then 2 weeks ago. 4 weeks ago the food was really, really good. Pancakes were delicious, bacon crisp, omelets great. 2 weeks ago visited same Stacked in Crestwood. This time the pancakes weren't fluffy, the French toast my daughter ordered was so-so and the bacon was burnt! Our food was takeout and they had the nerve to charge us $1.00 fee for takeout! Stacked is an amazing breakfast lunch restaurant! Their food is orgasmic. I always get the country skillet. It's a perfect blend of sautéed diced sausage, ham off the bone, onions, peppers and mushrooms. The skillet comes with hash browns or diced potatoes and either toast or pancakes. The portion size is huge. I can eat it in one sitting but will feel like my belly explode. I tend to eat half of it and save the other half for lunch or dinner. What I like about Stacked vs other brunch restaurants is that for their carry out they give you a nice container. Many other breakfast places gives you the styrofoam containers which the food melts. Wait time to be seated was about 10 minutes, but then waited another 20 minutes without our waitress even acknowledging we were here. I would have appreciated the staff to acknowledge our presence at the restaurant and to assure us they would be with us shortly. Instead we spent the 20 minutes waiting trying to make eye contact with the staff so they would come to our table. I found it ironic they have a sign at the entrance that says they limit the time at the table to 1 hour during peak times which basically means we had 10 minutes to eat. 20 minute wait time with a 30 minute wait time on the food. read more

Without a doubt this is my favorite breakfast place. The food is beyond perfection and the staff is welcoming and kind. The menu is so vast I literally want to order everything. I had the worst experience in this place today. Me and my son were there for breakfast for his birthday. We frequent this location at lot since it's close by. However I will NEVER step foot in there again. Our waiter was not attentive. After my food was brought out incorrectly TWICE she literally didn't come to our table again. We had to flag her down for service and I asked her if she was still our waiter, her response: I'm busy what do you want me to do, sorry if you don't like it. After leaving with a packaged meal that the mgr comped, I attempted to call the mgr about her waiters service, I was told "the mgr can't hear on this phone so can I have your information for her to call you" I have never dealt with such shitty service and never will accept that again. Just left here. Was immediately seated and the bus boy brought me some water and that's where the service ended. After waiting 10 minutes I got up and left. Yeah none of the waitstaff came over for 10 minutes. As I was leaving, I see the waitstaff were all engaged in conversation with each other. My Florentine crepes came without chives (as described), potatoes were cold, and with a lot of powdered sugar (on a savory crepe), no offer of coffee refill... complained to our waitress and she was combative and no manager attended to us. I met friend here on my way out of the city. I'm glad she picked the place...it was surprisingly good. I thought we would just have coffee. I ended up ordering what I thought was just an omelet. It was more than an omelet. It came with 2 pancakes and 3 pounds of hash browns...maybe I'm exaggerating a little about the 3 pounds of hash browns but that were a lot...like, at least 2.85 pounds of hash brown. I've given 2 stars only because the soup was delicious. The eggs, diced potatoes, bacon and pancakes we're good, nothing special and way over priced. There was a hostess and a host, they were both very friendly, professional and hard-working. Our waitress was not. The service was so poor that I'll not be returning. Our waitress handed me a plate with my pancakes and walked away, seeing there was no place to set it because of dirty dishes that she left, instead of taking away. She then reached over me to fill my friends coffee cup. We were sitting at a table and could have easily walked on the other side of me. Very poor service. read more

This is the place to go for a special breakfast. Totally worth the wait and the cost. It's not super cheap but the food is superior quality, the taste is phenomenal and the creations are just spectacular. Expect to wait though especially on weekends. You won't be sorry though. read more
