This place has been on my list for YEARS. Finally came in last week and so thrilled we did. Tons of seating on the inside and we got immediately seated- 2 people on a weeknight. The service was fantastic. I opted for the burger of the month and my husband got the wet nap. I ordered mine with the homemade chips and he got the fries. The portions are enormous here. The food came out very quick as well. Chips and burgers were insanely good- fries were just okay. They have a spicy ketchup that's homemade her as well. Burgers are good. We have been here quite a bit never had a bad expierence. Staff is always kind and always clean.

It's a busy Friday night and we put our name on the waitlist for 2 people, quoted 20 minutes. We only waited 10! We sat in the back room and it was super noisy but we understood. Our waitress was Lexi and she had a large portion of the back room but that didn't stop her from checking on us multiple times, apologizing for the food wait, and to refill our drinks. She was super bubbly and made it feel like we weren't waiting long. The wings were extremely dry (so dry that they were hard and not edible) but the few that were fine to eat were very good. We always just get the regular hot wings. The salad is my favorite salad in STL, and the burger was just as great as it always is! read more

When you do the research and dive 6 levels down the Yelp list and stumble upon Stacked STL, I wasn't sure about what we'd get. None of us had been there, but I had that feeling that this might be the one. And the "one" .....it was. We pulled up and the place looked closed. I had my grandson double check. We walked into the foyer and I thought... "oh no". But then we walked into the dinner area and it was alive! The bar was popping. The dinner area was eating, laughing and just plain having fun. We were immediately seated and Lexi introduced herself. That was the start. Drinks immediately. Lexi discussed the menu and told us what each item tasted like and also went over her favorites. We started with 2 orders of pretzels. Best in STL. We then ordered 3 different build your own burgers, the fish burger and bbq wings. The orders came out quickly and we all sat back and took it in. After the first bite, you could hear 6 "wows". Even the next day, the kids were raving about how good it was. They dubbed it the 'best burger in STL'!! And I agree. We love Stacked STL! Our first time here was 5 years ago when our realtor brought us for food during our long house hunting hours. It was great then, and it's great now! The menu has lots of burger and other sandwich options along with appetizers and drinks. I always like building my own--I like filling out the build your own menu and then eating my creation. This time was the normal burger (medium rare), on a pretzel bun with cheddar cheese, bacon, onion dip spread, and a side of fries. It was delicious and just what I needed! We had great service and like that it's open s bit later than other places on a Saturday. Stacked opened its doors for service in 2013 and due to its immense popularity has earned a spot as one of the top burger bars in St. Louis. The menu allows you to build your own burger using an assortment of patties, buns, classic toppings and premium/signature toppings. All build your own orders are placed on a paper menu located at the table. If you are not feeling creative (or simply prefer the convenience) the menu also includes several burgers that are ready to order. I opted to build a burger that included: a local grass fed beef patty, pretzel bun, mayo, pickles, American cheese, crispy onions, fried jalapeños and bourbon bacon maple jam. Overall, the burger was delicious! Starting with the base, the patty was adequately seasoned and perfectly cooked to medium doneness. Additionally, all toppings, whether served raw or cooked, were fresh and prepared well. My favorite feature, however, was the bourbon bacon maple jam. We stopped in at this place while on a long road trip through the country and were mildly disappointed. To start we called ahead and said we were coming in. We were sat after about a 25 minute wait (no big deal). After seated we noticed the restaurant had outdated and worn decor. We ordered two appetizers. Fried pickles and their nachos. Both were less than ideal. The pickles were small and had little to no breading on them and the sauces they came with were super watery. The nachos chips were stale and kinda gross and the nachos were even soggy in some areas. When our food came out it was just okay as well. Wings were kinda gross. However, the burgers and sandwiches were juicy and good. Overall I'd give this place a 3.5/5 if I could. Didn't love it and didn't hate it but wouldn't come back. read more

Drinks - they do not care your coke or Pepsi products but do have soda. We started off with the pickle chips. Different how they were cut and seasoned but good. Then we created our own burgers. These burgers were to die for what can I say? It can get a bit pricey if you're building your own burger. My parents built their own but I got the Wakey Wakey and added on the strawberry maple jam and the bacon. I couldn't not add those on there, it made the sandwich complete. Lots of room in this place! My group of 5 went on Nov 30th for dinner and the service was fantastic! We got seated fairly quickly and it was quite loud with other big groups in there. After the groups left, it was a lot peaceful. As for the food, we ordered the wings with all four dipping sauces. My favorite dipping sauce would have had to be the parmesan and buffalo. The other was ranch and another one that I can't recall.. I ordered the En Fuego Burger (cooked Medium), and it came with a side of fries. The burger was huge, but I was surprised that I was still able to finish it! The corn guac was my favorite part! It was a little on the greasier side, but it is a burger. Please try this place! Myself and my friend did the "create your own" burgers and they were JUICY! I tried the Turkey patty, with spring or lettuce mix, garlic Parmesan and their rosemary aioli sauce. I opted for the broccoli over fries or anything. And I went bun-less! I cannot wait until I try this place again! The place is super intimate/quaint and the busyness is charming. They have a cool appeal that's very eclectic. It's a great idea and adds so much appeal to this unique spot! I went and had lunch with my mom. We parked on the street outside and it wasn't a difficult thing to find parking which is always a plus. We added ourselves to the waitlist which cut a ton of time down which was super nice. I wanted a Diet Coke, and they don't carry your typical Coke/ Pepsi products. I always think this is cool because you're getting a taste of something different and unique but it's still hitting the spot. They have Lucky products, so the Guilt Free Lucky Cola was what I got and it was super good! We started with an app and got the guacamole bites! Guac wrapped in wontons and deep fried- yes please! They came with a side of ranch which added to the flavor. It was something different that I hadn't had before so it was nice to try something new. For my entree, I created my own burger on the pad that was provided on the table (I'm including a pic). This is where it got really fun! Great local spot for well made burgers at a fair price! I usually go for the wet nap, which used to have a beef patty as well as brisket, but on my recent trip it seems it's now the wet nap 2.0 which has pulled pork instead. I will say I preferred the old version with brisket but overall it's still a burger I would get again. The patty is a nice blend of beef to achieve really good juiciness and flavor. The fries are plentiful and cut small/thin, served with their house ketchup which has a slight jalapeño taste. Would recommend giving a try! read more

My favorite meal from my STL trip. We were in town for a wedding and was at a brewery nearby. The brewery didn't have a huge selection of food, so we decided to grab food from here. It was a ten minute walk from the brewery so we decided to walk. That was a mistake. The area around it isn't exactly walking friendly. I felt slightly unsafe, but we made it. I got the goat cheese and caramelized onion burger with cole slaw and it was absolutely delicious. These are very thick, round burgers. If you like a thin burger, this place isn't for you. We got chicken tenders and fries for the kids and they devoured the tenders. The fries are thin, shoe string type that I prefer. The people who work there are very friendly. We sat and waited for our takeout to be ready, my sons are pretty rambunctious toddlers and the guy working the host stand didn't even bat an eye. He even seemed warm towards them if that even makes sense. If I'm in the area again, I'll totally come back for a burger. I highly recommend it. read more

The sad thing is I used to love this place. It's been a couple of years since I've been, and we decided to get carry out tonight. The pros : The burgers are huge, so you get your money's worth. ....unfortunately that's about it this time The cons: They forgot the bacon jam on my burger which you have to pay $1.50 extra so that sucks. My partners burger came with strawberry jam but it was more like just strawberry liquid and not a jam consistency in the slightest. The burger was unfortunately overdone and was more like well than medium The last, but probably the worst in my book is the extra 30 minutes we had to wait for our carry out order than what was quoted to us and the food was cold after a 15 minute drive back home. Upon arriving to Saint Louis, we stopped for a hearty burger at Stacked. Location 9/10: I am sucker for the urban landscape and you will definitely get that visiting Stacked. It sits near Brownstone neighborhoods, a city park, and mom and pop shops. It was an eclectic feel. Customer Service 9/10: The host was very personable and kind. Our server was also a gem. He was very personable and checked on us often. He kept our drinks refilled and made sure we were comfortable. Food 9.75/10: What is great about Stacked is the options they have for everyone. They have a black bean burger and other veggie options for the non-meat eaters. They also have happy hour on certain days. Hubby and I built our own burgers. Two kids had a chicken tender baskets and the oldest had chicken wings. It totaled nearly $80. It would have been a cheaper meal with Hubby and I, so keep that in mind if you are watching your pocketbooks. The burger was well seasoned and a really great size. The fries were decent but those onion straws were perfection! The food was really good and it definitely satisfied our hunger cravings. Load up on pics 10/10: The decor of this place is awesome and gives plenty of opportunity to take really great pictures. I love the natural light this place gives off from the large windows. Pretty much the tastiest beef patty I've had on a burger in a while. Got the en Fuego with ground chuck (they were out of the upgrade option of grass fed beef). The burger was juicy, lightly seasoned so the beefiness stood out, the toppings I had were ok. I expected more of a bite from the jalapenos. The guacamole bites with ranch were delicious.
