As we turned our focus from our home to our new, small NY apartment, we reached out to Robin for help once more. We sent her the apartment layout, pictures of a few art pieces we intended to take, and some ideas on furniture styles we like. She and her team did a wonderful job identifying pieces that not only fit the available spaces, took advantage of the surrounding views, and maintained a certain continuity and flow throughout the apartment but, more importantly, met our functional needs as well. The process of identifying pieces, confirming and adjusting them to our feedback, and eventually final selection, was handled seamlessly as we were at the same time working through the logistics of our move, including working with us remotely most of that time. She completed the design, did the ordering, and most importantly arranged delivery and set up in our new apartment ... from 1,700 miles away! Delivery and set up all occurred in one day so had a negligible impact on our work. It was all turn-key -- from laying down rugs, hanging pictures, uncrating and assembling furniture, all the way to cleaning up and hauling away the packaging materials. OH!, and did I mention the pillows? Turns out, you can never have enough pillows. Ask her, she'll tell you. We now have pillows on our couch and bed that, well, just make it feel like home.

Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. I had to spend $400 to replace the window glass. Also, when they tried to clean the bird poop on the stucco wall, they sprayed water to it the poop and stained the stucco wall badly. Then told me that the bird poop has acid inside. Shouldn't he know before he messes up? I had to buy $120 new paint and forced the guy to repaint for me. Worse, they are supposed to clean the upstairs windows. But they didn't clean from inside. When I asked about it. The worker said he did clean. That was a flat out lie because I was upstairs all the time. None of the 3 crew ever went to upstairs. Same thing about the solar panels. Nobody even went up to the roof, but they told me cleaned already.
