I ate here for lunch today. I had the blue plate ( grilled catfish, potato salad, some sort of crawfish sauce and sweet tea) all in including tip was $20. It was really good. Not huge portions but enough without over doing it. They have a wasabi cucumber dressing that was incredible. It's definitely an eat there again place. Good service too read more

We had the lunch specials. My choice was the Shrimp and Grits with Crawfish Sauce. My husband had the Hamburger Steak with Peppers and Onions. Both were excellent. The salad bar was equivalent to a Ruby Tuesday's on a good day. Yummy. We had to drive out of our way to visit this great little spot, but it was surely worth the time and effort. Great Service too. Crab cake appetizer was delicious as was the crawfish sauce- weird plating though. It was served to me on a tiny saucer with a plastic cup of sauce that barely fit the plate once poured on top, that's it. No presentation whatsoever. (Place it in a medium saucer bowl with the sauce on or underneath and a garnish, would raise the level of first impression) This restaurant could do quite a few small things to improve ambiance and flow such as: Train the servers to open with an introduction and conversation about the food and restaurant instead of : " what would you like to drink"- worst opening line at a dine-in restaurant. Play some music! The building is beautiful on the inside and so silent once you sit down to eat. Food Plating presentation goes a long way. read more

We are visiting from NC and our mom recommended this restaurant. This restaurant was a definite surprise as the cleanliness was spectacular, the service was impressive but the food was phenomenal! Oh, the carrot soufflé is to die for!! I have never had a pork chop as tender as the Pork Chop Ribeye!! The tender beef tips were cooked perfectly! It's the best meal I have had while visiting! We were seated immediately but it took a few minutes for someone to take our drink order. When she returned with drinks she couldn't remember which drink was what. Seemed overwhelmed. We ask what skillet potatoes were and her description was diced potatoes. Not how they were prepared. Pulled pork was crispy and very dry even with bbq sauce. Skillet potatoes were fried potatoes and very tasty with lots of pepper. Beef tips were prepared to the right temperature and were very good. The salad bar was exquisite and all items were very fresh. The catfish was probably the best dish of the night. It's a must try! I was visiting Columbia for a week and picked up food from here twice. The seafood was fresh, the hush puppies were great, and the service at the window was friendly and efficient. I've had fried catfish, fried swai, fried shrimp (absolute favorite), and fried oysters. All were not overcooked and not too greasy. The fries didn't hold up as well for take-out, but that's just how fries are. I'd come back here in a heartbeat the next time I'm in town. read more

The building is very open and odd placed tables and makes the noises echo, we were not greeted at the door and stood and waited to long to be seated, they took our order and brought the food the same time as the salad we prefer to have salad or appetizer before the food comes out!
