The smoothies are terrible, and the food is very expensive! Although the customer service is phenomenal.

Been coming to this place periodically since it opened. I love that the menu changes, that 55% of…read morethe food is locally sourced (from NH) and how friendly and attentive the staff always is. This place has a happy family-oriented ambiance and I'd highly recommend it to anyone passing through!

Tucker's is an extremely popular breakfast/ brunch/lunch spot for locals and travelers alike. If…read moreyou are going between 10am-12pm, expect a wait, and possibly to use street parking because the parking lot is rather small (not easy to turn around in if other patrons are also looking for parking). That said, the coffee, food, and service are worth it! There are two seating rooms and one of them opens out to restrooms and a very small shopping/business mall. The tables and chairs are thick, heavy, rustic wood reminiscent of a country kitchen, and the acoustics are pretty good! No echoes or a need to yell to friends or family at your own table. The service is stellar! Lots of students work here and they are top notch. The food is outstanding. Their hash browns are literally the best I have ever had. They are wispy and crispy, and will not leave grease on your plate or in your belly. The eggs are always perfect, no matter how you ask for them, and the pancakes are the best you can get without making them yourself at home. They are served with a syrup, but for $2.00 extra (at the time of this posting), you can get real maple syrup instead. By the way, their coffee is not limited to regular and decaf. There is a delightful coffee drinks menu for options to enjoy at your table or to go! Tucker's also does take out, so you really have not excuse to miss this delightful place.

I would give 4.5 stars if I could…read more.. What's stopped me from rating this a 5? Well, the service was a LITTLE off. But I attribute this to the fact that the bartender was training somebody new (and we were sitting at the bar because there were no tables available). The fact that there were no tables available is entirely our fault, the fact that the bartender was busy training somebody new was only slightly off-putting. The ambiance, lakefront dining was incredible. But here again, only SLIGHTLY off-putting, was the fact that the sliding glass doors were not wide open on this beautiful August day. I think the breeze off the lake would've been better than the air conditioning. I'm stretching a little bit for the negatives... the positives were too numerous to mention all of them. Simply put, the food was amazing. Totally unexpected for a small town in Sunapee, New Hampshire. Our dishes, from the appetizers to the main courses were totally unexpected, in a very positive way. I wish I took more pictures. But we were busy enjoying our food. I will come back to this place in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

A definite upgrade to the Sunapee Harbor waterfront. The nice blue colors lend a great tone to this…read morerecreation. The Maître d' was certainly officious... not even a good day, good afternoon, or even a go to hell. Certainly and genuinely rude. Oftentimes the Maître d' is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and managing reservations at a restaurant, meaning they are the first impression on the customer. Not this one. In our time here, the only person who would need training on customer treatment. But that shouldn't ruin a good evening, and the rest of our time here was superb. The staff, one noted exception, was superb. Smiles, excellent service and great food. Our waitperson was Erin, just a breath of fresh air. I was pleasantly surprised seeing waitpersons assist each other picking up tables and cleaning before the next course. Awesome work. I had the Salmon Poke which was delicious. It is indeed raw but well condimented and delicious. My other half had the chicken kimchi bowl and this too was amazing. We washed it down with two Sauvignon Blancs as dessert was coming. The sorbet was house made and delicious. Overall superb. The harbor views are gorgeous. Food, ambiance, service.

Flying Goose is an iconic pub and restaurant in the Lake Sunapee/Ragged Mountain area, with a huge…read morecustomer base from both local and out of state areas. Food is invariably excellent and the staff is well trained and very helpful. As usual, we went in and were seated immediately. I had their Gorgonzola salad with salmon on top and washed it down with their Rags to Riches IPA. Our entire party was quite pleased with the evening. Our only lack of satisfaction was in the lack of the giant pretzels they used to have. No more. Instead, they have locally made ale pretzels which although healthier, are almost impassable with a hard texture that is unpretzel-like. I encourage the Flying Goose to bring back their old-style pretzels or redo the ale pretzel recipe from scratch. Great evening.

We have always had good food here, and last Friday was no exception. The clam strip appetizer,…read morewhich was one of the specials, was fresh, hot, perfectly breaded, and fried just right. We weren't especially hungry, so my husband ordered a cup of the seafood chowder, which was hearty and flavorful, and he loved it. I ordered a half Cobb salad, which was still very generously sized and full of chicken, vegetables, and fresh cut lettuce, not the sad bagged kind. Unfortunately, the service was a very different story. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by frowning faces that made us feel less like paying customers and more like people who had wandered into someone's kitchen uninvited. After being seated, we sat for about 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. When our waitress finally came over, she also seemed unhappy to be there and gave us a halfhearted greeting. When I politely asked how she was, she replied, "This night is almost over." Not exactly the warm welcome you hope for when you're out spending money on dinner. Throughout the meal, she made several comments about the night being almost over and reminded us that we needed to order anything else we wanted before the kitchen closed. It was 8:30 on a Friday night, so this felt more like we were being rushed out than served. The final bill for two gin and tonics, one martini, the clam strip appetizer, a cup of chowder, and a half salad came to about $100 including tip, plus a ridiculous $3 charge for using a credit card. The food was good, but at those prices, the service needs to be much better. Good clam strips can only do so much heavy lifting. We may come back, but next time we'll probably sit at the bar, where it's harder to be ignored and where the bartender has always been friendly. My suggestion to management would be simple: the kitchen is doing its job, but the front of house needs to make guests feel welcome, not like they're an inconvenience.
