    Original Hot Dog

Have not been to the Pub in over a year and it's great that it remains constant. Good local crowd for Sunday afternoon lunch and lots of tv's to multi watch sports. The Original Hot Dog is the default, also get the fries. The fries appear to be cut on premise, they are thick, not greasy, filling. The staff is minimal however very friendly and attentive. Love the soda refills which is hard to come by these days. I need to try more menu items to complete the full five stars. Go. Great place to chill out downtown with friends.

Bloody Mary... too spicy IMO (and we asked for it to not be made spicy)

I find that experimenting with Broderick's variety of speciality burgers, fries and milkshakes provides a superb customer experience. Personally, I'm always excited to try a different protein patty (bison, duck, lamb etc.) My Gold Rush Burger with duck patty was cooked and stacked perfectly but I could barely taste the Mac & cheese in the burger. Because I equally craved pulled pork, I therefore had the Banh Mi fries as a side. My meal was hearty, flavorful and well presented. The service was efficient and outside seating area was kept clean. I will definitely return to Broderick to try another burger.

This type of burger is my go-to and I wasn't disappointed. So good and I didn't even request most bbq sauce because it was flavorful enough and not dry (like others make it). My friend got the grilled fish tacos and enjoyed them. Looked delicious and he was satisfied. We were seated quickly at the bar to watch the playoffs and all the servers were checking on us pretty regularly. We were well taken care of. Excellent place to go all around and we will come back when we're back in the area.

The food was okayyyy. I wish we had some chips and salsa to start. I got birria tacos and they just seemed only okay. The server was fine. Refilled our waters. I thought it was weird that their was a bench/booth against the wall but it was super low. No way you can sit there with this tall tables. It looked weird. Nobody was sitting on the booths. Then in the middle of eating, I see the workers moving the tables out and creating a dance floor. I realized it turned into a club like setting, so that is what the booths were for. I felt rushed out though since they were clearly setting up for their club.

The time before last night was back in the day of parklets and they had some event so I put my name on the wait list but was able to order a drink and taco while I waited. I hung out next door at Peet's sitting on an outside chair. Very nice. A little bit away from the crowds and sound. So that brings us up to last night. My partner and I were walking back to our car after being somewhere. As we walked by it was dark inside and the music was pumping. There was door security but no line so we went in. The dude looked in my partners purse and I was able to walk in without a wanding or pat down. Whew!!!! Upon entering and making our way to the bar we noticed the Grandma's throwing it down in a dance circle with their grey hair wigs, old timey clothing, goofy socks and shoes and canes, can't forget the canes. We have seen them around town before and they are hilarious. I have no idea who these ladies are but they seem to be making a name for themselves in the DubC. Very impressed with people who still know how to have a good time. We hung out for a bit on the fringe where the chairs were before headed back to dance central where the Grandma's were tearing it up. Next thing you know this long blonde hair dude is in the middle dancing with the "old ladies", yes me. One of them lent me her cane. Fun times. And yes my partner took me back home and is still talking to me. And 4 stars because Grandma's. HELLA FUN TIME!!!!

A couple friends and I came for the dueling piano on a Friday night. Be sure to make a reservation online and note that a deposit is required for Fridays and Saturdays. 20% gratuity is included in the bill and the deposit is applied to your final bill as well. There's a small area near the bar for people without a reservation to stand. The pianists were fun and played a decent variety, but it also depends on the requests from the crowd. Love having dueling pianos in the area though! All the staff members we interacted with were very friendly and pleasant. Where the stars fall is with the food. Some of it was decent, some was a bit lacking in flavor. I had the Shepherd's Pie and felt that it was missing seasoning on the meat. Our table also shared Brussels sprouts which we felt were also lacking in flavor. However, feedback was decent for the Reuben sandwich, fries, and Irish stew. The coffee and donuts dessert had great flavor, we just hoped for the donuts to be soft/fluffy. They had more of a dense texture than expected. I did come back a second time to try the brunch and we had a lovely time but again the food had a couple misses. According to the menu the Bloody Mary should have come with shrimp but did not. I also requested sausage for my classic breakfast but was informed that they didn't have any. I opted for bacon, which was a little floppy for my liking. Anyway, I really like the concept and atmosphere at Gibson's and believe there is a ton of potential.
