Solar is clearly a great way to go, both in terms of being friendly to the environment, and the savings that you can see in your energy costs in the future. Because the decision is so important, you will want the most knowledgeable and most professional people to provide you with every bit of accurate information so that you can make the most informed decision. The entire staff at A&R Solar are exactly what I've described above. They are professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and patient. I love how great they are about always getting back to me when I have another question. I have had direct communication with Jesse, Michael, Jen, and Karen. All were fantastic. A and R sent their sales person to our house and he got right to work. He went into our crawl space under the roof to make sure our roof was properly supported for the panels. That was a relief as the other place wanted to send a structural engineer to do that very simple job and charge us for it. Ridiculous. Our project was two years, so the crew may be slightly different, but they were great. When there was an issue, like that we didn't have electrical grounding, they just put in grounding bars. Amazing! They offer production guarantees which is rare for a solar company, like those ones that come door to door. lol A and R was professional, easy to work with and easy to communicate with. Elemental Energy has been outstanding in post customer care. In the eight years since I've had my system, I've only had two issues which were properly taken care of. The project manager in 2008 was absolutely awful. Poor communication and someone quit so my project got pushed to no-man zone- no one was taking care of my project or communicating clearly about what was going on. I didn't write a review in 2008 because I was upset about the process. However, eight years later, the install is absolutely fantastic and the product has held up really well. Elemental Energy installed a photocell array on our roof a couple a years back. When we made the…read moredecision to install batteries as well, they were our only call. Our house was built in the late 1960's. Which means that the outlet plugs and other components that were installed back then (over 50 years ago) have become brittle. Jostle them a bit and they can fracture. This happened to the circuit for the room on the other side of the Battery install. Apparently they jostled the wires running to one of those outlets and it fractured it, disabling that circuit. It being a guestroom, we didn't notice it right away. When we did, Elemental did not hesitate to step up. I would use Elemental Energy again if I needed any of their services in the future.

After calling the next day (we paid the evening prior after business hours) the response was, "oh. That's a former employee. We thought we changed that." It is an affilated company email, with no prior guidance or warning. You just get a pop up saying thank you for your payment to ...(foreign name) @gmail.com. A company name @gmail would have still been ghetto but less scary (own your domain yo! Business 101!) But some random workers name? Anyone making the electronic payment, beware. Don't. Just do a paper check. Overall, I'm sorry. But I can not give Unity a good rating. We have limited solar companies in my area and they were the better price. But I guess you get what you pay for.

This process started with initial deposit 8/29/25, and I just powered the system on today, 10/22/25- just about 7 weeks start to finish. Their system of communication is pretty great- I heard from various people as the process unfolded, and they made sure to notify me of communication from my utility company (Pacific Power) to sign off on the net-metering agreement. At one point, Emma pulled Brian (one of the owners) onto a call to answer some specific questions I had about permitting.
