Had a dinner reservation for 6:30p for 11 people on Saturday 2/8/2020 for my mother's 60th birthday. We were seated immediately which was great. Had appetizers by 7:10p and then ordered our entrees. We were waiting for quite a while.There was also a party of 50 in a separate room but didn't think that had anything to do with the dining area. At about 8:30 I asked when our food was expected to be out. They advised we were the next out of the kitchen, which ended up not being the truth because at 8:45p, we still didn't have our dinner and there were 2 other tables behind us that were seated way after we got there, probably after 7pm that got their food and finished their food and got dessert And coffee before anyone at our table saw their food. The server for their tables apologized for their wait for the food... it was not that long. No one apologized to us and we were waiting for a while. Another person at our table got up and asked. This time their excuse was that we had a large party and they had a small kitchen. This didn't make sense because they had no problem serving the other 6 people in the room and 11 people isn't much more. At 9pm my father got up to find someone because we were now sitting there for over an hour without anything and they were barely coming around to check on drinks. They started to blame it on the party in the other room now which was basically done and gone by then. Finally at about 9:05 they come out with our food. My sister said to the server that it's been a while and some of us might not be so hungry after filling up on drinks. The server got instantly nasty with my sister, my sister said she wasn't trying to argue she was just letting her know and the server kept being nasty, said we had a large party and they had a small kitchen and asked my sister if she wanted a to go box several times with such an attitude that everyone at the table heard and was very annoyed at how she was treating my sister. (The server had brown hair in a ponytail and I believe was wearing a bandana headband.) It seemed our complaints were falling on deaf ears and they didn't seem to care how we felt. They just kept Making excuses. spent 3.5 hrs there. It should not have been that long. It was so embarrassing to invite people out for my Mother's birthday and have this kind of service and experience. This place wowed us in every way! The Inn itself is beautiful, and every square inch is CLEAN! The owner has clearly paid such attention to detail. The linens and furnishings are all very fine quality--lush towels and bathrobes, fluffy pillows, super comfortable mattress, nice duvet cover, etc. We came there from NYC to relax. It was perfect for us. The town and the inn are so peaceful. We found plenty of little reading nooks near fireplaces. If it's this beautiful in Winter, I can't wait to see it in the Spring! This staff is top notch. They are professional, warm, and charming, and everyone will go out of their way to make you comfortable. Carrie Ann is a star of an innkeeper. She makes an amazing breakfast, and her kindness will melt you. I'm also pretty sure this is the best restaurant in town--and our bar is pretty high! Haha. The menu is creative and delicious. Staff is friendly and so attentive. We ate there 2 nights in a row: specialty cocktails, baked brie, Brussels sprouts, burger, pulled pork sandwich, sidewinder fries (!), sticky ribs, beef empanadas, penne a la vodka, brownie sundae, creme brulee. It was all best of the best. I'm afraid to say how much I love this place because I don't want it to get too booked up for us to come back. Super disappointing Mother's Day here. Buffet was overpriced, cold, and subpar. The waitress was rude, condescending, and hostile right from the onset with no reprieve the entire meal. We all found our drinks to be weak and overpriced. My family was very excited about our Mother's Day reservation and was, at best, underwhelmed and, at worst, wholly disappointed. With prices higher than NYC standards, you dont get nearly what you pay for and I wouldn't recommend going, especially not on a holiday. read more

Came in for Mother's Day and was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. We placed the reservation months ago and were not told they would be serving a buffet only (during a pandemic?!?!?). Drinks were extremely overpriced, watered down & one was even served to us in cracked glassware. The server seemed inconvenienced by our request to switch out the broken glassware but also inconvenienced by our entire existence. She was rude and standoffish throughout. I had my daughters bridal shower at the stagecoach inn and couldn't have asked for a better venue to host such an occasion. All were very attentive to my needs and the brunch was outstanding. I held my sister's bridal shower at this venue. Since it was during COVID, we booked kind of last minute because we were so unsure of everything going on during this uncertain time. Faith and Jenn were SO accommodating with my mother and I throughout this entire process. They worked with us in every single aspect and always answered my million questions with respect. Our guest count kept changing due to COVID and they were extremely accommodating with the uncertainty during this time. I was in awe when I walked into the venue. I had said the theme was going to be pink and girlie. I was expecting just the farm tables and buffet set up as we discussed. However, the tables were decorated with gorgeous pink linens they had and beautiful candles. I was not even aware of these little additions and they were SO PERFECT. Although our food came out a little late, the staff was so friendly and accommodating that we were running slightly behind. We thought the food was very good. My husband and I just celebrated our daughter's wedding at the Stagecoach Inn, in Goshen, NY. Let me start by saying she is our only child, so this experience was so extra special - and emotional. The NYC couple wanted a very beautiful, intimate, comfortable, unique spot...nothing typical, and far from a "wedding-like" venue. After checking out wineries on the North Shore of Long Island and also Newport, they found the Stagecoach Inn on Wedding Wire and fell in love with everything about it....and so did we. The charm of the town, and also The Orange Inn (a boutique hotel right around the corner) for guests to stay at for this drivable destination wedding. The entire wedding weekend was amazing - and magical. The inn is exquisite; the food is divine; Faith (owner) and her staff are stellar. We also were blessed the best weather-weekend of summer. Upon arrival, our guests walked in through the front door that was surrounded by the most beautiful, huge hydrangea, white lights, and lit lanterns. They were greeted with prosecco. After the outdoor ceremony, cocktails and appetizers were served on the covered patio; the celebration was in the brightly lit Atrium. The elegant farm tables and hardwood floors are fresh, sleek, and the perfect backdrop for pictures. Guests were able to enjoy drinks and cigars on the patio, and intimate conversations in the stately, cozy fireplaced "leather room" and entire first floor while celebrating. Staying the weekend in the gorgeously appointed bedrooms really completed our celebration. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nachesca, who was everywhere at just the right moment - knowing everything the bride/groom/parents/squad needed before we did ourselves. Our daughter is a food lover and Chef Jerell totally rocked everything. (We had a tasting a few months before and the only complaint? There were sooo many delicious, creative, options it was hard to make any decisions). If you're looking for a storybook, perfect experience...this is it. It is everything you'd expect in an elegant, stately, warm, Pinterest worthy spot. I am a very particular, high maintenance mom (who probably finds fault with everything). Met some old friends here for dinner one night. We met here a couple of times before because it is mid way between our homes and we had a great time and enjoyed the food. Now the restaurant is called Dobbins Tavern and it is horrible bar food. I was disappointed and embarrassed that I suggested this place. Most of the menu is sandwiches. The special of the night was a burger. I ordered the salmon because I did not want a sandwich. My husband ordered the burger special. We ordered a couple of apps for the table . The octopus was overcooked and rubbery and the dip in the dip and chips app was something form the recipe you might find on a jar of mayonnaise. The main dishes were even more disappointing. My piece of salmon was supposed to have a falafel crust and hummus dipping sauce. There was no falafel crust and there was nothing else on the plate, nothing. i have never gone to a restaurant before and ordered a fish dinner and there was nothing else on the plate. How is that a meal? It did sit in a shallow bit of hummus which it needed because it was over cooked. The burger special was just a burger . While we were eating our apps we saw the same dishes being served at a nearby table and the people at the table rejected the food because they didn't order those dishes. We thought that maybe it was our dinners and they went back in a warmer until we were done with our apps. Just awful and I will not be returning. I didn't want to start a problem in front of our friends so I didn't say anything but our friends barely touched their meals too so maybe we should have said something. Brought 10 friends there last night during Restaurant Week 2018. Beautiful porch room although a little spotty temperatures. One minute too cold, one minute too hot. Salads were delicious but the entrees were over cooked and not edible. The manager only charged us half price and apologized but we were so disappointed and left hungry. read more

We made reservations well in advance (and confirmed the day before) of our dinner for 6 in the solarium, but when we arrived we were told that a group of people had expanded their reservation so we couldn't eat in there. We were seated outside, which didn't work out for us because of the cooler weather. We were then offered a seat in a lovely room which was almost entirely ours. Our waiter, John, was a delight. Service was slow because the place was absolutely packed and the waiters were stretched to their limits. Our appetizers were delicious. The meat and cheese appetizer was great as well as the scallops and shrimp. When our main courses finally came, they were ok. Three of us ordered the pork. It was very tasty, but very tough. Very good food. I have eaten in many top-notch restaurants and this was one of the best. The food was not over-salted or swimming in fat. These are common problems when seeking a flavorful meal. But these dishes were flavored with FLAVOR! Herbs and spices, acid and sweet (again not too much) let the ingredients shine. Our waiter was extremely, as all the staff, friendly/polite but maybe a bit lacking in training and/or little overwhelmed- forgot/didn't know things. Lovely atmosphere. Clean and quiet. We visited Stagecoach Inn as locals with it being my fiancé's first dining experience at the inn. We loved it, it's an amazing setting. Very well priced and it's fantastic, they have a very small staff who can do a bit of everything and that is a true wonder. One of our waiters is also a Chef and personally created the desert special that day. We sat on the porch but there a multiple room options to choose from. This is not a high capacity restaurant and you will be thankful for it. Make your reservations and enjoy the fact that you will have and incredible environment, gorgeous food and attentive staff. After dinner we enjoyed the rest of our champagne and watched the fire flies start to come out on the lawn. The owners of this restaurant put quality and experience before money and it really shows. Made a last minute decision to go to brunch on Easter Sunday. The website stated last seating was 2pm. I called and the staff was very accommodating. We arrived at 2:30 and approached by a very respectful young man to seat us. The selection of tasty food was amazing. Every staff member was pleasant. Had a wonderful dinner at the newly renovated B&B. The atmosphere is gorgeous, every detail considered. I had short rib on truffle potatoes that was so delicious. We went for Easter Sunday Brunch. 4 adults 2 children. Fixed menu nothing else offered when we asked. I was very disappointed my frittata - a thin flat flavorless egg with asparagus and ricotta cheese dots. No bread. My husband wanted a variation of eggs on menu answer was- no too busy today. The other 2 adults - French toast was cool temperature and the lobster roll was good. Ours came out cold. Decaf coffee was awful. Dessert were 2 very dry scones, and a cheese cake slice that was warm and not eaten. Bill was $200. + tip. Needless to say my husband and I will not be going back ! read more

Went there with family for the Easter buffet. Was very disappointed. Food selections were limited and hot food temperatures were tepid at best. Carving station included only lamb and turkey (no ham), and the lamb was tough and tasteless. There was a dried-up quiche that was inedible. Dessert selection was only ice cream with some toppings and cookies. The worst thing was that no clean plates were available for second servings. We asked the server about this, and she said that they didn't have enough plates to do that and we would have to re-use our dirty plates when going back for seconds. Therefore, common serving spoons on the buffet line were touching plates that people had already eaten off of, with cross contamination, a public health violation. At $65 per person, I expected better. For children, it was $25 which is a lot for some chicken fingers and mac and cheese. This was the worst dining experience ever. The location was beautiful, but the room we were in was way too hot and bright. They could use shades to keep the sun from pounding on guests to the point they had to move. The salad while looked pretty had little to no dressing making it impossible to eat. They lemon chicken came on the bone, when you could figure out how to cut it, it wasn't worth the effort. It was dry and inedible. I would never willingly go back here for dinner or an event. I have eaten here 3 different times. The mark of a quality restaurant is consistency and that they do. All my meals were fantastic and well presented. Service was great except for one slow service day, but she tried hard, but was over worked so I give her a break on that. I am blown away by the customer service, atmosphere and amenities that were given by the amazing people at the Stagecoach Inn. Carrie Anne, Crystal and Linda welcomed us as though we were family, paid attention to every detail and anticipated our needs. The rooms were warm and welcoming, the bed/pillows were super comfy and the bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen at a place I stayed. I was there for 4 nights and was also able to each at the restaurant. The wait staff and bartender were equally kind, friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my meals and drinks. This is clearly the new hot spot in Orange County. The dinner menu is limited to a select number of entrees all done exceptionally well. Staff was very attentive but not intrusive. The wine list ranged from moderately priced to exceptional but even at low end there was a nice selection. We viewed the rooms and they were large and elegantly furnished. The Stagecoach Inn in Goshen is an exceptionally well restored B&B on Goshen's Main St., that also offers some really great dining options. We recently enjoyed a delicious lunch in their solarium - a wonderful room, nicely appointed, good food and excellent service. This was by far the most special place that we've ever spent a weekend. The inn is beautiful, with so much attention to detail. Carriann spoiled us with her awesome breakfast in front of the fireplace every morning. The owners and Anna also made us feel like family.
