I went here for my bestfriend's birthday and the service here is excellent and their food just as well. The quality of their seafood and beef were top notch. I enjoyed their calamari seasoned with Lemon Aioli and served with Spicy Tomato Sauce. Their mussels with very delicious, soaked in Spicy Tomato Broth, Sambuca, Cherry Tomatoes and served with Grilled Bread. My favorite pizza is their meatball pizza! This is a good Italian restaurant in the back of the Beau Rivage Casino. You can use open table to get a reservation, which was handy. I ate here with some friends, the food was pretty good...I had pasta with bolognese sauce, and the sauce had a TON of meat in it (not enough sauce). The pasta was fresh, and I added on some spicy sausages which were excellent - try them! Just watch out for the sauce (or lack thereof). We tried the caprese salad, which had 4 pieces of cheese and about 45 little tomatoes. Overkill! One of the folks in my group tried the pizza...very average. The bread was complimentary and fresh, with dipping oil. There were a lot of older people here, and the lighting was very low, so I'm not sure this is a great place for kids or families...this is more of a wine and pasta (intimate) type of place. They give you an iPad for the wine list, in a huge hard plastic carrying case...which I promptly knocked off the table and broke, as I reached for it. Sorry! It is really tough to navigate water, dishes, silverware and a giant iPad in a plastic case on their tables. After all that, I found out they only had one Pinot Noir on the iPad wine list by the glass. Huh? Why even have an iPad wine list??? Our server was funny, charming, and went out of his way. The cutlet was uneven and they cooked the thicker part correctly and the very thin part of the cutlet was burnt. The Penna Pasta was soft (over cooked). There wasn't salt shaker on the table no fresh ground black pepper. And the presentation was week, from the staff walking us to the table to walking out the door. The Service was excellent and the food was very good. We were seated and within a minute we had a server greeting us with the specials and taking our drink order. We had 2 servers attending to us and they were attentive all night but not too overbearing. Onto the food, we had 2 appetizers- the calamari and bruschetta and 2 entrees- the lamb and a margherita pizza. The calamari was a little on the spicy side with the sauce on the top and the bread for the bruschetta should have been more toasted, in my opinion, but they were very good. The margherita pizza was excellent- reminded me of the pizza you get in Italy, great job! The lamb was also very good, served medium rare, and very tender- delicious! Overall, my fiance and I had a great experience here. We had a delicious seafood salad that was comped because of parking miscommunications with the valet (we were told that valet service was only available for casino guests). This was light and refreshing with a lemony vinaigrette. The restaurant's handling of this unpleasantness was also indicative of the above-average service we were to receive; both of us commented that the server was very professional, especially for MS where service is often solicitous but inept. For soup, we split the flavorful pasta e fagioli. This satisfying, pleasingly seasoned soup was a good follow-up to the refreshing salad. For mains, the fiance had a halibut fish special served with faro risotto, and I had linguine with clams (yum). His fish was well-cooked, perhaps just 30 seconds over, with a nice citrus-y crust. The grains were beautiful. The clam dish was just how I like it--garlicy and full of parsley and citrus and not so much butter as to obscure the clams' sweetness. If ordering clams down here makes you wary, I can say that these were well-cleaned with no grit. Desert was a super-rich chocolate and peanut butter creme brulee. We enjoyed this dish, but I think you'd have to love that particular combination to really enjoy this dessert. Chose this place over the other restaurants in the Beau Rivage for our Thanksgiving dinner and we're really disappointed. The Turkey was a pressed loaf, very salty and not much effort was put into the side dishes which was roasted brussels sprouts and risotto with chunks of squash mixed in. Can I just say, I love this restaurant! I eat here every time I go to Biloxi. I ate here with my brother on a Wednesday night about 7:30pm. The place was packed as usual and even though we had a reservation it took about 10-15 minutes to get seated. I understand though since restaurants can't always predict how long people are going to linger at their tables after finishing their meal. I don't like that the tables are placed so close together because there is no privacy. Not a big deal but my personal preference is to be able to have a conversation with the person I'm dining with and not have to try to speak over the person at the next table only about a foot away. My brother got one of their signature cocktails and I had a Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives (can't get these just any old place!). We each ordered lasagna ($20) and shared an order of two crab cakes ($14). Let me just say, their crab cakes are amazing! The lasagna is my "go to" dish every time I eat here. The portion size is large and as hard as I try, I've never been able to finish the entire thing. Maybe if I skipped the crab cakes but that is never going to happen. Service was a bit slow, but they were busy so that was to be expected. Our server was knowledgeable and as attentive as she could be considering how busy she was. Delicious complimentary breads are served with three options, standard Italian olive oil dipping sauce, hummus and a tomato based spread. All are very tasty. The bill was roughly around $100 and worth every penny. Without the drinks it would have been less than $60 so can be a very reasonable Italian meal. read more

This used to be our favorite casino restaurant, but the last two times we were there has changed that... On our last visit, this past weekend, we received our entrees before the crab/lobster bisque. Our very nice waitress didn't put the order in and she was very gracious about the omission, no problem. The chicken entree was just warm and was sent back. The bisque was brought out shortly thereafter and was not hot, just warm - not good, but my husband doesn't like sending things back & he just sent back the warm chicken so he just ate the warm bisque. I finished my 4 raviolis before his reheated chicken came out. This used to be a GREAT restaurant, and would always be our choice, not anymore. Very disappointed! read more

Went in here the other day to get some margherita pizzas, and we ordered them to-go. The hostess was very nice as was the bartender when taking our order. Pizza arrived in a timely manner, but that is where the pleasantness ended. The pizza was smaller than we expected, which is fine, but it also had like...5 shreds of basil on each. The crust was half burnt, and I don't mean what you typically see on a wood-fired pizza, but inedibly charred. While the cheese did taste good, and the un-burnt crust was passable, I would not say it was enjoyable. I will not be going back anytime soon, and the only reason I gave two stars is because the staff were kind and the pizza arrived promptly. read more

Awful experience. All I wanted was an order to go. First the waiter tells me I have to move to the other side. I find a seat and start to sit and the other waitress tells me to move to the side I just came from with an attitude. I proceed to tell her the other waiter said to move over here. Went to Stallas with my wife and Daughter last Saturday. Definitely recommend reservation. Atmosphere very nice Italian style. Waiters were excellent, there when we needed them left us alone when we didn't. Food: I had veal cheeks for first time! Oh my it was very good. Think of meat like Osso Bocco, but veal over a spaghetti with a really nice garlic, olive oil sauce. Wife had tortellini with a spicy red sauce, very tasty. If lunch is an example of what Stalla offers, no need for me to return. Was almost empty, yet hostess tried to seat us at a table way in the back corner up against a wall. We quickly asked for a more desirable table in center. Stunned at what they brought out for our salad. Menu description lists salumi, artichokes, tomatoes, and other things. What we received was a very small portion of poor grade iceberg lettuce (the white pieces that you throw away) drenched in oil and wilted with something that looked like shredded white cheese. There was one tiny piece of something that might have been an artichoke and one half of a cherry tomato that I was kind enough to leave for my husband. I would never serve something this unsightly and tasteless to a guest. I asked our waitress if this was the same salad described on the menu and she said it was but everything is all chopped up together. Apparently, we were not lucky to get a serving from the communal bowl that had any if the listed ingredients. The panini I ordered had minimal filling and some of the chicken was dry and again just bland and dissapointing. Snacks in the casino does a much better sandwich for half the price. It's a nice place but stops there at least during unch. read more

Priced well, but Shaggy's is better. Though the Jack Torch (Jack Mango and Jalapeno drink) was pretty good. Food not so much. I had the Mac with Shrimp and Crawfish, the sauce was way too watery and the green beans too oily. We had tuna and alligator poppers as our appetizers. The tuna tasted weird, I blame the rub, since it was cooked perfectly. The gator had too much batter and tasted bland. I think that was the problem, everything just tasted bland. Apparently this is a tourist trap, but if you live down here, then you've been to better places that are at the same "level". This is on par with an Applebees for those not from the South or Mississippi. It's not fancy, but it's also not a sandwich shop level. Like a step above a Newks/McAlister's. As I said, Shaggy's is basically the same place just a few restaurants down, and is better. Lucy's there too, again a better place. Slap Yo Mama's (GOD I hate that name, hate kitsch names, but the food's really good) is also there, again better, especially if you like barbecue. read more

the wife ordered their spaghetti and meatballs... i had the chicken matsala. after she took one bite she said her mouth was on fire. she asked me to take a bite and the meatball was truly hideoud; a spaghetti-o's meaball is better. i don't mind a spicy tomato saice but this was a horrid mix of gagging heat and some weird lingering aftertaste. the wine couldn't clean it off your palate. i gave my chicken matsala (average, it was ok) to the wife and was looking at the open kitchen, fantasizing about knocking out the chef, fat tony, and making some proper spaghetti sauce and my meatballs. f--king idiots. read more

The tuscan soup was great, and we split it, more than enough for two. Should have done the same with the main meals, huge portions, and very well prepared with fresh pasta and good sauces (pomodore & bolognese). The bottle of italian pinot grigio was very good and perfectly chilled. Also received a complimentary dessert for maggy's birthday, even though we were stuffed. The one and only thing we had a question about was how the special a chicken breast dish had a huge thigh bone surrounding it. It is disappointing that the salads are not able to accommodate diners with allergy restrictions, so they cannot remove pork or dairy. This is the only restaurant in the hotel that's actually worth eating in. Whether it's food quality, service or ambiance, this is the best. Now having said that, I will also say that it is a fairly standard upscale Italian restaurant. But when you're staying at the hotel for three days this is your best choice and unfortunately it's only open at night. The rest of the restaurants here are not very good. Stalla is my favorite restaurant at Beau Rivage. I have been about 5 times and it NEVER disappoints. I took my three sisters on a Saturday night and although busy our service was awesome. Pearly and Lenox were the dynamic duo. There was not one thing we needed that one or the other was not right there to take care of. The dirty martinis, the cosmopolitan, the antipasta platter and eggplant and mozzarella appetizers and the two pizzas we shared were all perfect.
