You have been warned. STEER CLEAR!!. They are literally the worst company you can get tangled with. What's even more amazing is that they are still in business even with all these complaints against them. I rarely ever write a review but felt compelled after my experience with them and with American Home Shield Warranty Company. They were assigned to me through AHS. I know this is prob the longest review in the history of review but I wanted people to know the real experience I had with this company. 1st Visit - The tech's name was Joey. Asked them multiple times to call me 30 minutes before. All they gave me was 5 minutes of heads up. Next, all HVAC companies take pics of the readings but they wouldn't share them. Then finally I get a copy of the work order and it says that everything is fine and all that was needed was "capacitor" to be changed. On the invoice Standlee provided, it said that the capacitor was changed, but that was a LIE. I have pics to prove it. 2nd visit - made an appointment for 8am-12pm but called at 11am and they said it was for 4pm-8pm. I took off work to be there and it was useless. Even though the text says 8-12. So I had to reschedule. 3rd visit - Again I had to take off work to be there...they sent a guy who had just had a heart attack and couldn't even go into the attic to do the work. Again a waste of a day and please keep in mind that in Bakersfield summer the temp was at like 109. 4th visit - made an appt for 8am-12pm called them at 11am and they said it was a new girl in office and she messed up and they have to reschedule. Again I had taken off of work to be there. At this point I told them that I don't want them coming anymore and I will speak with AHS to get someone else. Spoke to Nikki (supposedly she is the owner) and she said I will give you the $100 AHS service fee back please give us another chance. What a sucker I am right? Lol I gave them another chance...but no sign of that $100 yet - more than two months after. 5th visit - So they scheduled it for the next day for 11am, Again I had to take off work and I asked for a call 30 minutes before. Again no heads up. 15 minutes before I get an alert that the tech will be there. This tech was more competent then the others but never brought the tool to test for a leak and without even testing just wrote it up that the evaporator coil needs to replaced. To make matters worse he put in the wrong kind of refrigerant. He put in 407C where as our system was R22. I also believe this is what really messed up my system and let to having to replace the whole system. I don't understand how you can just say that when you have not performed proper testing. They wrote the diagnosis up and sent it to AHS. They said the repair would cost about $2400. Now AHS says that I can not even get another option and that my out of pocket would be about $1700. But thats a whole another pile of crap. I have reached out to Standlee multiple times about the $100 (which I have in writing that they will refund) but everytime they have one excuse or another. Now we are in the process of filing a complaint about them to BBB, taking them to small claims court for the money owed / damage caused by their negligence in performance of diagnosis and reaching out to our Congressman and state senator to look into their business practices as well as AHS. Along with that we are reporting American Home Shield to the CA Department of Insurance and filing a suit against AHS because they also have not compensated us for the repairs. If you have had a similar experience I would highly encourage you to take action or join in a civil complaint against these types of companies. I know it is easy to just cut your losses, look the other way and move on in life but at some point someone has to stand up to these types of people or they will continue taking advantage of hard working people read more

I was provided service by this company through American home shield. The technician came out the first week of august, stated the AC needed a compressor and a recharge (which AHS won't cover). They then left and stated they couldn't do anything until AHS approved the service. I finally got notice of the approval a few days after the technician left. I have attempted to call numerous times and no answer. Sometimes the phone gets sent to voicemail and other times the phone just rings. AHS has given me two separate numbers for this company. Both do the same thing. I have been without an AC for 3 plus weeks. And have had to incur costs for a hotel and to have my dog watched by family and friends. I'm hoping the business will answer my calls. Because this is unacceptable. read more

AHS dispatched this company to me, and I had previously used them 2 years ago for the same service. I was requesting a A/C tune up before the season started. I paid my fee to AHS and they dispatched pretty quickly. When I saw the company, I remember feeling off about them, and I wanted to have another company sent instead. I attempted to call AHS to have a different agent sent, but there was no answer when I called. (That is a problem I have with AHS, not this company.) Ok, it is only a tune up, and they can diagnose a problem if needed and I know I would need another service call to fix if anything is found, and I can then ask for another company to do any repairs. So they send me a text telling me they will arrive by noon the next day. (Between 8am and noon), at 1155 there was no call, no show. I called office to get ETA, and they tell me soon, he's finishing up and is already in the area. I work nights and leave for work at 2PM, so I was now on the clock. My husband came home early from a Doctor appt, so he is home after 230 and I could leave for work. They arrived at 315, and got straight to work. He came down a few minutes later claiming we needed 3 Lbs. of Freon and our out of pocket cost is around $400.00! (I know it isn't covered under warranty). There is still no mention of any leak or possible leak. My husband said no, and he let him leave without further interaction. Here is the kicker, they said the EXACT THING 2 years ago and I paid at that time, but there was no mention of a leak or even a possible leak. Since warrantees do not cover Freon, all customers pay out of pocket. I called 2 other HVAC companies who both said that if you have a leak, or are low on Freon, your system will not cool properly, and they temperature you set it at will not stay. If there is no leak, there is no reason to need Freon so often. Now I believe that EITHER: There was a leak 2 years ago and they failed to diagnose it, or even consider it, OR they go around charging customers for unneeded Freon. Imagine the money they make, at about $100 a pound?? And who knows if they are actually adding anything to the system anyway, because they are alone on the roof. I called AHS and the representative didn't seem to concerned that I felt cheated by one of the contractors they sent to me. This company represents my Home Warranty company, so I alluded that I felt they could be considered complicit. Standlee may not be doing anything that is not required, but I felt like I was being taken advantage of, and I researched the issue and it appears to be shady. Be observant, and do you homework. I can not in good conscience, recommend this company(or American Home Shield either). read more

AHS assigned this company to me out here in Bakersfield. I wanted so bad for things to go well and for me to leave a good review but things didn't go that way. Someone was supposed to be coming out here on 9/19 to fix AC. Mind you I paid $1710 for Freon on 9/16 so I'm happy thinking okay my AC is going to get fixed Monday no issue. Come Monday I miss work, which sets me back $300 because that's how much I make for my 8hr shift as a county employee. My appointment was scheduled between 8-12. It's past 12 on Monday I call and the woman who answers stated someone will be there this afternoon. I wait all after noon again no call or no show. At this point I'm upset because no one called me earlier to tell me of the lateness and now no one shows up. I call the next day they don't answer from my personal phone so I call from my county phone and they answer. I inform them no one showed up or called me that they would not be coming. I get scheduled for 9/22. I miss work again, another $300. I call them to confirm no someone is coming, they don't answer my personal phone but they do again answer my call from my county phone. The woman confirms someone will be at my home. AGAINNN no call no show. I'm very disappointment with the unprofessionalism. This was not a free service and it was a service that I had already paid for in advance! The communication is terrible and well the service, that speaks for itself. I have requested a new company and disputed the payment. I do not have the time nor the money to be wasting sitting around waiting for someone to show up. This is very unprofessional. read more

My rental house is in Central, CA, where the temperatures flip over 100 degrees from summer to winter. It was over 100 degrees a lot during the summer, and now it is below freezing. This company was assigned to us by American Home Shield August 8th. We had no A/C in Aug. and Sept. (it was 114 degrees when I was there in Sept.) and to date (Dec. 28th,) now there is still no heat! They didn't start any work until Nov. 11th (waiting for the unit?), and nope - wrong frame. They came back Dec. 8th with the frame they made, and I had to pay them $3114.00 BEFORE they put the unit on the roof. What do you know? They were missing another part (and kept my money.) They came back Dec. 16th - missing another part. Dec. 19th - now it needs a thermostat which he doesn't have. It was 60 degrees (at best) in the house and the 11-year-old son has to sleep in bed with dad for body-heat! I bought them three space-heaters, which blew circuits and cost me another $275. to get that fixed (not by Standlee.) I don't know which one, but one of the workers that came to the house didn't want my renter watching him do anything and threatened to walk off the job if my renter made a video of them putting the A/C on the roof with the crane. What the hell? I asked my renter to video it because I live 300 miles away and I was just curious about how it was done. Damn I paid for the crane!!! ! Immediate Air Solutions was supposed to come back Dec. 21st, and then I got an email Dec. 20th saying they'd come Dec. 22nd. I wrote a very PISSED-OFF email to the company, and the owner, Nichole called me the next morning. She said they'd honor their Dec. 21st date. She said the unit was "new" and she apologized for the excessive delay. Dec. 21st, they needed yet, you guessed it, another part, so it was scheduled for AFTER Christmas, Dec. 27th. After the heater didn't get fixed (again) in time for Christmas, I set my renters up with an AirBnB (another $1300.00), so they didn't have to freeze for Christmas. If I was in that house, I'd be furious! I'm not living in that house and I'm still furious. On Dec. 27th, Jack came out around noon, he supposedly put in some part, told the wife they had been having problems with this particular part "burning out, and he had six more to replace. He also told her everything was fixed and the job was done (after about two to three minutes of op-testing the thermostat.) The house (1500 sq ft.) only got up to 68 degrees by 8:17 pm! This job is BS and it's not fixed. I called AHS to file a complaint last night! I hoped after talking to Nichole last week this job might actually get completed with competent technicians and/or new units (like she told me there were), NOT refurbished garbage! "Immediate" Air Solutions are anything but immediate ("immediate" doesn't mean four months later, and it still doesn't work), because neither my renters nor I deserve this. No thank you. ::Updated Review:: My review is because your company quoted $1000+ of out of pocket expenses and gave three different explanations why extra work was needed (1 story by the tech at the house, story 2 to AHS, story 3 on the phone when asked about the discrepancy). So we got a second opinion. The 2nd company said all 3 of your stories were wrong and they fixed it for $135. So no, my 1 star review is because you (like a lot of AHS contractors) try and pass on extra costs to the customer because AHS does not pay contractors well. read more

This company is a joke. Contracted by AHS to repair an AC system not blowing air through the system. Took 4 days for someone to come out to look at the problem, he had to use my ladders and borrow my tools to incorrectly diagnose the problem, he said it was the blower motor. An appointment was set for 15 days later for them to come to fix the problem, no-show. I called to find out they hadn't even ordered the part. Appointment set for another 7 days later another no-show. I was so frustrated I hired another company; they correctly diagnosed the problem as the control board and had it fixed within 3 hours on the first visit. They frequently don't answer the phone and if their voice mailbox is not full and you do get to leave a message, they never return your call. read more

I called American Home Shield on June 29, 2022. It is currently Oct 18, 2022. We have had no working A/C in over 3 months. Standlee sent someone who seemed competent enough. Diagnosed that we need a fan blower motor (which has since been corroborated by other technicians from different companies). They ordered the part the first week of July. The part did not arrive until the first week of Aug. On Aug 2, the technician came to install the part, only to discover THE WRONG PART had been ordered. Between Standlee and AHS, their incompetence, and part shortages, the right part wasn't ordered until Oct. 5. Now we're waiting on a mysterious "supplier." We have filed complaints with the BBB, and are looking to file a class action lawsuit against both companies due to negligence and safety issues. I have 7 children, and this has been the longest summer on record. Over 100 for more days than another summer in recent history. Several days, the indoor temperature was 95 or higher. There is no accountability here for either company. read more

Highly impressed with Mike after reading these reviews. My appointment was rescheduled with my knowledge or consulting me first, from 10-2 to 5 pm to 9 pm. By 8:30 pm I had not heard from anyone and I was reading these reviews and I was very skeptical. I was calling AHS but technician MIKE called me shortly after 9 pm and said if we were still available he would still like to come by and take a look! Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable. It's unfortunate when I have to leave a bad review but I do so in the hopes that the company might actually review these, and possibly get an action plan in place to rectify. I was assigned Standlee by American Home Shield to come out and check the A/C unit on my home. The first appointment was scheduled in July, but it had to be rescheduled due to a conflict with work. The number provided to me said it was disconnected. I found another number here on Yelp to who I guess was the Office Manager - and never received a call back. I got a hold of AHS who gave me an updated number, and it worked. Great! Scheduled for Aug 18th. They must have showed up after the scheduled window - or never showed up at all. No call. Rescheduled with them again for Aug 28th - and it happens again. Contact them again and reschedule. I guess they were so busy the appointment was pushed out to Oct 1st. Fast forward to Oct 1st (yesterday) and they were a no-show, no call, nothing. Attempt to call the phone number on the email provided by AHS, and the number is stating it's disconnected again. Super frustrating - but after seeing the other 1 star reviews, I know I'm not alone here. I contacted AHS again today and asked to be reassigned to another contractor. read more

I had hoped to be leaving a 5 star review about his company. Early August I called AHS because my AC stopped working and Standlee Heating and Air was dispatched out on August 12th 2020. They showed up on time and quickly diagnosed my problem as a blown Capacitor. Which they happened to have on them and I was back up and running. Then on August 26th I messaged them and stated that our AC had went out again. They where super nice and responded quickly stating they would find another appointment for me. I sent them pictures of what looked like the capacitor that had blown again. They came out on August 28th and the technician stated that with the rolling blackouts that it had fried the main board and he would need to replace it, but he didn't have one and they would have to order one. We then waited for the part to come in and they came back out on September 4th. The technician came out and hooked the board up and we crossed our fingers hoping it was going to work. Almost immediately the main breakers for the house tripped. We reset the breakers and tried once more and it tripped the breakers again and they said they seen sparks. That is when I heard the dreaded words. Your AC is shot, we cannot repair the unit and you will need a new one. The technician stated that the disconnect box, the capacitor, the board, and the breakers to the house may all have issues and it was best to replace the unit. Knowing this would put me without AC for a long while during 112 temps I asked if he could just replace the items including the disconnect and he stated, nope this thing is shot. He said AHS would most likely pay for a new unit but that there would be out of cost fees for a crane and modifications. I asked how much and he said he would have to go back to the office and get a quote in to AHS. So already unhappy that I had no AC, I figured I had no choice so I agreed to get the quote and he left. That was on Friday. I was on the phone the next day with AHS asking if they had the quote yet and they stated that they had not and since it was labor day weekend not to expect anything till Tuesday. I am like wow. Its super hot, I have a 2 month year old in the house and decided to head to Morro Bay for the weekend because we couldn't stay in the heat. On Tuesday the 8th AHS called me and said they had the quote and it would be $2550 out of pocket costs. I then I called Standlee Heating and Air and asked them about the quote and if there was any other options and the lady stated that they sent in the quote to AHS , but that AHS didnt include a title 24 testing fee of 385 dollars and that I would need to add that to the cost if AHS was not going to pay it. She stated she would call AHS and find out and call me back. She never called me back. On Wednesday the 9th I called Standlee in the morning and no one answered, then again at around 11am and a different lady answered and she told me that the quote was sent to AHS, I stated that I wanted a detailed list of the items and what exactly the costs were. The lady told me I would need to talk to the lady I spoke with initially. I said ok, can you please also find out what type of unit that I am getting because I want to look it up on and see what the reviews are. She said , these are all good questions and she would have the other lady call me back soon. Again she never called me back. Thursday I called again 4 times and noone answered the phone. By this time I decided to look them up on Yelp. What I found was horrifying. Lots of unhappy people that had communications problems and people that felt that they where over charged and work had not been done correctly. So I called AHS on Friday morning and shared with them my story, they got me a second opinion. JW heating and Air out of Coalinga. I was ecstatic because I knew their reputation. Shortly after I called AHS I get a message from Standlee stating I needed to approve the repairs with AHS and they had an apt for me on Oct 6th 2020 and that I would need to pay the additional 385 for title 24 testing. JW called me Saturday morning and came out on Saturday to check out what was going on. They stated that they thought they could fix the AC, and it had been wired wrong!!! I said ok , how long will this take. JW said they would have the new Capacitor, and Board on Tuesday and if there was a disconnect needed they had it in stock. JW called me on Monday the 14th, installed 2 new capacitors, 1 new main board, said the disconnect was fine and YES!!!! You guessed it !!! It was fixed within an hour!!!! My house was cool by the evening time!!! We went without AC during the hottest time of the year with a new born baby staying at hotels while trying to deal with Standlee costing us money and time. No way will we ever use them or recommend them!!!! If not for Yelp we would have paid almost $3k and been without air till October. Ty JW Heating/Air. read more

Not sure on why this company had such negative reviews because I requested them multiple times through American Home Shield. I had another company's service who almost had five stars on their yelp page but me and my wife did not feel they were worthy of a five star rating. When dispatched for both heating and ac issues over the last year and half, the other company did the minimal to get the issue "fixed" with no prevail. Standlee came through and showed the contrary to the other company; they showed me and explained thoroughly what the issue was and scheduled another appointment in a timely matter. The technicians spoke with professionalism as well as how a helpful neighbor would talk to me and my wife, explaining issues in ways the average homeowner could understand without any knowledge towards HVAC systems with patience. Each time a service was needed Standlee was on time, thorough, and gave tips to me and my wife to help stay cool/warm and did extra the insurance wouldn't cover. As for others complaining about the clothes they wear I'm sure it didn't affect the work that was done. Any blue collar worker would understand that as long as the work gets done and done right it doesn't matter if they came wearing sneakers over boots or a t shirt versus a collard shirt. Their work is subpar and I will ask for their service every time! read more

Like other reviews America home shield approves replacing my old air conditioning unit, but standlee will charge my for a few items. 3,700.00 total, they charged for duct testing, duct modifications and frame work totaling about 1,800.00, they never completed any of that work to install my unit. When I asked for a review of my bill via email, I was ignored. I don't even mind paying 175.00 for a smoke detector they bought at the local hardware store, at least they changed it. They just want to charge as much as possible when home shield covers the cost of a new unit. Thieves and con men at this company, request another contractor when dealing with American home shield. In response to your reply below, how can you sleep at night. Your company charges customers thousands of dollars for services not rendered. I provided a list of the items your service personal did not install or service not completed. You told me, you would review my complaint and contact me. You never contacted me after my complaint. 11/7 After filing with Department of Consumer Affairs, we have had an insurance adjuster fly from Florida to inspect the work done, photos, and documents. I'm not too surprised that they've done this to other consumers. So many inaccuracies and even expired workers comp insurance. Our house has no air conditioning and it hasn't had it for an entire week. On many occasions the contractor never showed up. I have two senior citizens who live with me and this is absolutely ridiculous. We have been suffering in this terrible heat for an entire week and not once have they reached out to let us know they would not be coming. This is outrageous. read more

Update on our horror story. After we paid to have the roof repaired and the drywall ceiling redone, it rained again. Once again I had water leaking in my home. I called the roofer to let him know. He sent a team out at 9pm to check on it. They could not find a leak in the roof anywhere so they came back the next day to look at it in the daylight. It was a gap between the AC unit and the collar or stand it sits on. There was a 1-2 inch gap where the water was getting in. They also said there was a gas leak and I need an AC company ASAP to look at it. I called Canby's in Tulare and they were here within a hour. There was in fact a gas leak. The gas valve was installed on the wrong side and all the gas lines were only hand tight. Long story short I paid ANOTHER $1200 to have the unit removed and installed correctly. The return was held on with 3 strips of duct tape. It was missing the plenum I paid Standlee for. Standlee is a disgrace and dangerous. read more

The absolute WORST company that I have ever dealt with!! I was assigned this company by American Home Shield to repair our non-functioning AC unit. The tech came out the 1st time in early May to diagnose and identify the problem. He identifies the problem as the blower and says that we will need to make an appointment to have it replaced. We make the appointment for approximately 2 weeks later. The tech arrives and ends up removing the part from the AC unit and tells my wife that we need to schedule another appointment to have the new blower installed. What??? Shouldn't have this been ordered after the initial diagnosis?? They schedule us another appointment towards the end of May, but we miss it because they never confirmed it with us. This happens again in June! Finally, we have another appointment scheduled for late June. They text us the tech's status and he confirms with my Wife that he's in route. All good right? Wrong!! He never knocked on our door or left a door hanger to prove that he was even here and we were home . Their techs are tracked with GPS, so he could have just parked next to our house for a few minutes, to show that he was here on the GPS. At least that's my opinion. My Wife then checks the status of the tech and what do you know, the status link was no longer working. We immediately call the company and of course there was no answer after 4-5 calls. I then call American Home Shield and they attempt calling them, and guess what? No answer. Believe me, I'm not making this stuff up, this really happened! Then, out of nowhere, my Wife receives an email and text from them with a scheduled appointment that we never confirmed. After all of this, they had no common courtesy to call and explain why this happened?? We schedule another appointment for today. It's finally gonna happen right? Wrong!! My Wife receives a status link confirming that the tech is in route. The GPS shows him at our house. I go outside and see him parked on the side of our house, out of our view and he was working on what looked like a blower/fan. We greet each other and I go back inside the house. 20 minutes or so go by, so my Wife goes outside and what do you know? He was gone! She checks the tech's status and it said they are waiting on parts. What?? He never knocked on our door to let us know. My Wife calls the company and the owner did not OWN up to their mistake and took no responsibility for their lack of professionalism and customer service. She said that she was gonna get to the bottom of this and call my Wife back. Yes, you guessed it. Never called her back. Now, we have to wait another week for parts that should have been ordered after the initial visit! I am very angry with this company and with American Home Shield, who hasn't done ANYTHING to help with this matter. Never again!! read more

I received a text message on Friday, 10/22 at 2:53 pm that my service was scheduled for Monday 10/25 between 8-12. I immediately replied to the text message as instructed and called because that time did not work with my schedule. As of the 25th I had not received any call back or notice of reschedule so I called again. Someone called me back later on the 25thsaying that my service was rescheduled to the 27th for 8-12. I told them that was perfect, and someone would be there. On the 26th I received a text message saying that my service has been rescheduled to the 28th from 8-12. I replied to the text message and tried to call because I was told the 27th. I again received no call back. On the 27th, my husband was home from 8-12 and no one showed up. He left since no one showed up and had been waiting all morning, so we assumed they would come on the 28thfrom 8-12. On the 27th at 12:33pm I received a text message saying that someone was on their way. I called my husband and he headed back to the house. At 12:48 I received a text saying that the service has been completed. No one ever came to our house or rang the doorbell, and no one ever called. The service was never completed. I have called the company several times as has my home warranty company and Standlee will not call us back. I called my home warranty company who I scheduled the service through and Standlee told them that they often have to change appointments and may not be able to come on the date/time scheduled. They also told the home warranty company that they came and no one was there. IF they came, no one rang the door bell and no call was made to myself to let me know that they were there outside of the scheduled time. This company does not call you back and will not even communicate with you over the phone for scheduling. It is an automatic text and scheduling system. If you cannot be home all day everyday then I highly suggest you contact a different company. I will never use this company again. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more

I was assigned this company through my home warranty company and went over 4 weeks without a heater in January. I had to call to check on my parts and fight for an appt, they did not keep in touch. Because I was not a regular customer but an insurance customer I was always moved to the bottom of the list. It felt like a "we will get to you when we can" situation. It was the same job but they didn't care to get you in immediately when your part came in. I was told I'd get the next available appt, often 3-5 days out. Dispatcher only answered the phone about 1/2 the time. Windows were typically 3 hrs long and technicians would show up at the very end of that window causing you to have to rearrange your entire day. Very unprofessional and unwilling to address concerns. read more

Tech came out to diagnose and fix A/C not working. Advised it was controlling board. Ordered one, four weeks later they came back and replaced it. However it was wrong one and they jury rigged it. Next tech from another company came out and re-installed old board and worked great. Apparently it was the Nest Thermostat that was bad not controlling board. read more

I give this company 0 star! This is a horrible company. I've been waiting for 20 days to fix the AC . I called the insurance company only to find out that they have not submitted the diagnostic report. I called and follow up, they came out again and still haven't submitted the report. Don't use this company It's now a month and 10 days , Standlee came out to the house to fix the AC and everytime there's always a different issue . I requested to get a different vendor multiple times and finally AHS authorized me to get an outside vendor and the outside vendor was able to fix the AC IN 2 days .. and that's including the waiting time for the part to be delivered . The owner personally reached out to me agreeing on fixing all the issues Very kind of her to take a hands-on approach on this I do like Freeman & I'm happy that Standlee backs their promises I will keep this updated as the time for servicing is pushed out to October 2020 at my request. BEWARE!!! Back in July 2021, our home warranty company American Home Shield (AHS) sent this scamming company out to diagnose our issue. AHS approved the part and service, but Standlee never contacted me to setup an appointment for the job. I contacted them after waiting several weeks and they claimed that the part was "backordered". I waited again a few more weeks, then they claimed the part was delivered to the wrong address and they would have to work with AHS to order a new part. There were times when they never answered their phone or responded to my voice messages. Every time I contact AHS, the representatives also had a difficult time reaching Standlee. AHS also said that Standlee sent a report to them saying the work order was completed. Wow... When AHS finally got ahold of the manager Nicole, she told them she would get back to me within 24 hours and to not worry. Nicole's response to why they marked the work as complete was this: After 90 days of waiting and if they do not receive parts to do the job, then they automatically mark it as complete. LIES! We waited again... nothing. No call, no return calls, nothing. I was very patient and was giving them the benefit of the doubt for almost a year now. Because they claimed that they finished the job, they get paid by AHS. They pocketed the money and ran. They're thieves. They lied to me, they lied to AHS. I am sure I am not the only victim. They are scammers!!! No wonder they have an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). They need to be investigated and their "business" needs to be shutdown. read more

I have used Standlee heating and A/C 2 times over the past 2 years through my AHS home warranty service and they diagnosed the problem when other companies that were sent out could not. The first year was replacing the ac unit inside and outside the old one was from1989 and finally died . The second time blower motor went out and now have a brand new air conditioner in my home thanks to Jack's knowledgeable service. Thank You! read more

Would rate a negative 5 if I could. American Home Shield sent this company to fix our heater/Ac unit in February. They left the job half finished and we've been waiting for them to come back and install a part for almost two months now. They do not call back, I had to continue calling them from different phone numbers in order to get them to answer me. Also when I was able to reach them no one was able to give me any information on because "we don't know". Every time I called I was told to expect a call back from them. To this day I am waiting for a call back from April 6, 13, and the 26th. It is now May and I have yet to be able to reach them. Love that this company would call me out for being dishonest. Lol After all they put me through, that's just the cherry on top. I have so many of these pictures it's not even worth putting them all up. Yes Standlee, it was you. You know who I am, I'm sure I spoke with all of you multiple times. No dispatch number, just texts from AHS saying you are coming. Again and again and again. The system is fixed, by another company, there is nothing more to be done. To be fair it was a transformer that your team blew out, and left----no words exchanged or phone calls about. You left us without two working systems. I repeatedly called you to have you fix it, which you did 6 days later after I begged and pleaded for someone to come out--- multiple phone calls later. The problem was that we had three units- the one on the roof needed more freon because it wasn't cooling the house upstairs. I feel it doesn't take a month and a half to figure that out. As I pointed out, mid valley air came and fixed it in an hour and a half. No electrical parts ordered, missed appointments, broken transformers or endless phone calls and they figured out which one it was within 10 minutes. read more

American Home Shield (AHS) unfortunately contracts with Standlee Heating and AC. This company is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has a C- rating. My experience: 2 out of the 5 appointments the technician was a no show with no apology. During the last of those no-shows the tech reported that he arrived, that our AC needed follow up, even ordered a part, but the tech had NEVER arrived and NEVER looked at the AC unit. The 3 times a technician did arrive he spent NO MORE than 10 minutes on a call. Everything is confirmed by our cameras. They repeatedly failed to correctly diagnose the problem and stretched things out over 2 weeks without EVER actually fixing the reported problem. When calling the office, my calls frequently went to voicemail or my call was ended completely because the mailbox was full and could not accept messages. I had enough and I ordered Standlee Heating and AC off the job and will also be cancelling our AHS policy. I independently hired an AC technician who spent more time with our unit in one appointment then Standlee Heating and AC did over 3. Our AC was fixed within an hour of being correctly diagnosed and our home is now comfortable. I DO NOT recommend Standlee Heating and AC! Their BBB rating should be an F - read more
