The food was really good. I got prime rib and partner got a burger. The only thing I didn't like was that they put us in a booth and the booths are tiny. It pressed into my stomach and hurt. We had to ask them to move to a table. read more

Our first time at Stanford's and we were very pleased with the very versatile menu. The cream of salmon soup was amazing. I had the Cajun prawn fettuccini, very good. Great tasting high quality food and a congenial service team. The seasonal special, blackberry salad, was awesome as was the house ciabatta. This time the salmon was a bit overcooked, still though, tasted real good. It's been very clean every time I've need there - even the bathrooms which also have hand lotion and some basic toiletries! Food was superb! I ordered ribeye and like it a lot! Classy but a little bit crowded for setup, if this is a fine dining I hope we can have more space. Words cannot describe how much my girlfriend and I love coming here only to be served by the wonderful Katy and the humble John the bartender. Both absolutely glow of wholesomeness and genuine love. From talking about how rare we like our steak to small talk over what movies we enjoy watching, these two kill it with how attentive and friendly they are. Now to get to our meal, I had tried the prime rib for the first time and man-o-man do I love me some au jus. I asked for my steak to be as rare as possible and the kitchen made that happen effortlessly. The marbled fat between the fibers of the cut was mouthwatering and made every bite brimming with bliss. Don't forget about the spinach artichoke dip, I'm like, 99.99% sure we order it every time we're here...it's delicious, can't get enough of it. My old fashioned was perfect, pure and robust. A classic done right. Marina had the Raspberry Mojito and was delighted on how refreshing it was even on a rainy day (what's new) in Oregon. Overall service, food, people, I give my love to all. I scheduled a dinner with family, and I chose a place that would be convenient for anyone that wanted to come. Stanford's seem to fit the bill. I am following a Whole Food Plant Based diet, and so I planned out what I would order. I stuck to it! Usually I would have caved. My sister and nephew both eat meat, so they were happy with their food. They both had cocktails, and though I was tempted, I had iced tea with lemon. They weren't impressed by the cocktails, I had a sip of the lavender Cosmo, and was glad I got iced tea. I ordered a plain baked potato and a side of steamed asparagus. Admittedly, I did bring a little of my homemade dairy-free, oil-free ranch dressing to put on my potato. It was really delicious. So glad I have options when going out. I'm trying to make dining out an entire experience spent with family and friends. But it's a bonus when I can enjoy a healthy and delicious meal while doing so! read more

One of my few go-to places for Sunday meals as they have happy hour all day. Never had issues with the food. Service is good most of the time but the bartenders can sometimes be a little unmotivated to be there at work. Pretty decent food and portions for happy hour prices. No complaints here. The hosts when you enter the restaurant are always friendly and welcoming. read more

There are few fine dining selections in Hillsboro...it's a relaxed town. But sometimes, you want to celebrate an anniversary, or an achievement... and I love Stanfords for that. They allow us to be more upscale. I'm sorry but BJ's just isn't right for everything. You need that special treatment. So I'm glad we have at least one choice. We went last night for just that reason, to celebrate. Though my hubby and I love going whenever...because as my profile says, I miss finer dining like we had in Vegas. We ordered wings as an app. I would have ordered the brei, but alas, they refuse to bring that back. (If only they knew I have gone from every 2 weeks to every 2 months because well, I went a LOT for the Brie, and we usually spent at leat a hundred bucks....so if you throw a bit of Brie out, oh well.) But, I digress. We ordered the wings, very nice. And we got some drinks. The wings are lovely, presented like a phesant under glass nearly...lovely presentation. Along with the wings came a bowl upside down on a plate. Hmmmm... What was in it? Three moist warm towels with lemons. WHAT a nice touch! I posted this on All About Hillsboro, and people went CRAZY. Such a small thing, right? But such an amazing experience it created. I had prime rib, rare and it was exactly that. Love it. Son had ribs, he loved them. My husband had the mac and cheese...extra bacon of course. The deserts were yummy, too. If there were brie, it would have been heaven...but it was amazing. Service here was good but the price was a bit steep for how much food they give. My table got some really fun drinks so that was a great addition to the meal. Selections are just like usually steakhouses with the bulk of the entrees being steaks. The staff was friendly and fast. Had a good time overall. read more

I'm a regular at this Stanford's for years! There food and service has always been great!

I went back to Stanford's after Covid. During Covid they were closed because of a fire in the kitchen. They have new staff & do a way better job. I still do not suggest you Uber their food. They never get it correct. I don't know if it's a chef issue if it's an issue with Uber some sort of miscommunication or lack of training but i stopped bothering now I only go in person. The food in person has almost never had an issue since they reopened. But from Uber Id say over 15-20+ times it was incorrect. Uncooked missing items even when I would put food allergy to egg I'd still get egg on my salad. It got to the point k started taking my food back to them the next day just so they could see how badly it was done. It was already addressed with the manager 3 different times. One issue that may not prob be capable of being addressed is their seating is meant for people who are skinny. They do have pull out seats in the restaurant but either are for 6 feet tall basketball stars & not meant for women or shorter people. Or their chairs are hard wood & frankly after about 5 minutes my sciatica can't really take it. There are only 3 seats in the bar that have a soft seat & that's the only place you can eat if your not skinny. The female bathroom handicap stall toilet also is not screwed in correctly & when you sit down u will fly onto the floor. It's been told to staff & they claim they have no idea how to fix it cause it just keeps happening. So it may be more of a corporate issue. The doors to the eatery also weigh like nearly 1000 lbs to open & if your not super strong you will need help especially if it's windy. Otherwise I recommend most the food except the herb chicken that's on the bone. My mom has ordered it a few times forgetting she hates it & every single time it's sent back. The lemonade is fantastic & I really can't complain about the food. They've even managed to learn to cook salmon finally. In winter it tends to be super cold inside so we go mostly in the warmer months or u need to wear a jacket indoors. read more

I have nothing but love for our experience at Stanford's last night. There were four of us dining, three of us with our own special, separate and unique food allergies (seafood/shellfish, celiac, nightshades). Presenting a server with just one allergy can sometimes feel awkward, so piling on three? Well. We got the best server we could possibly have had. Sean (or Shawn, or Shaun?) went above and beyond to double and triple check ingredients and cooking methods to make sure yell he was presenting us with safe and delicious options for our meals. The whole team got involved, coming by to explain modifications made to dishes, and checking in to ensure we were enjoying everything. Which we did! Terrific dinner, the food was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the pace of service allowed us to really enjoy our evening out, and the care and concern shown was at such a high level that we'll for sure go back again. read more

It's a pricey chain steakhouse and meets that standard. Baked potato was raw, it needed another half hour in the oven, green beans were cooked ok but unseasoned. The prime rib was good, with flavorful as jus and horseradish. Scallops were cooked well but the risotto was more gummy than it should be. We skipped deserts, most are brought in frozen and not worth the asking price. The cocktails were good and they have a decent bar menu. read more

Stanford's offers a classic steakhouse menu and the service was great! In my opinion restaurants have over complicated menus and service lacks. We had surf and turf and prime rib. Both steaks were tender enough to cut with a butter knife and perfectly seasoned. We had stuffed mushrooms for our appetizer, delicious. And the crème brûlée was probably the best I've ever had. I loved that they offer espresso martinis, (and espresso) which seems harder to find lately. Nicole was one of the best servers I have encountered in Oregon. (seriously, it's hard to find around here) I also appreciated that it didn't feel over crowded and hectic. read more

**WC** This is actually one of my favorite Stanford locations since the food and environment are always spot on. Today I was reminded of that. Great spot indeed. They even have a few maki sushi rolls - we couldn't resist and tried their lobster tempura roll which was delicious! I am always really scared to order sushi of any kind in a non sushi restaurant but in this case, it was a wonderful appetizer that was just right to start our meal. We shared a creme brulee and holy wow it was humongous! No joke - 1 inch thick and perfect...I could not believe it was that deep and still amazing. Bravo! For moving around - just wow easy in a wheelchair. The parking lot is arranged a bit strange - there are scattered ADA spots everywhere but the ramp is just right in front, sort of. I have seen better and much worse for sure. The tables with the best access for my chair to go up to are in the far back which is a bit of a winding mess through all the sections of raised booths but the view is great in the back with the tables because it is by the fountain with windows etc. read more
