Never know what you will find. I highly suggest people read all the expiration dates on their food…read more Other than that the prices are very good especially for the clothing. They typically have bedding sets for under $50 but you have to find your bed size (Queen seems to be hard to find). The appliances are normally name brand and great price, I recommend you review their return policy on electronics and thoroughly test things out. Staff is generally nice. This was our first visit to Newington's Ollie's, and we scored a fantastic deal. I am the Committee Chair for a convention next month, and one of the participation activities for the conventioneers will be assembling kits to donate to a Boston charity for children in need. We are set on the school supply side, but we are still a little short on the socks and underwear side for 50 boys and girls. So, when I saw a "15% off" email from Ollie's, it seemed like a divine sign to make a pilgrimage to the new Ollie's in Newington. And guess what we found? How about 5-packs of boy's underwear marked down to $2.99? BEFORE our 15% discount. Thank you, Lord Ollie. Ollie's was stocked to the gills and very neatly shelved. We bought this eclectic mix of goods: a big bag of Dot's pretzels, five boxes of K Cup coffees, a bottle of shampoo, a jar of pickled zucchini, a jar of salsa, and 20 of the aforementioned underwear 5-packs for just a shocking $88. Ollie's is a fun store to browse around in, and today we made out like bandits.

Okay, I'm a fan of this Lowe's location in-particular. Lowe's itself is a dependable brand when it…read morecomes to customer service, reliable stock, and store upkeep. The weekends are much busier than over the weekend, so I always prefer a weekday. Selections of say; nuts & bolts, pipe fittings, fixtures, lumber, you get the drift, are much less elbow to elbow, and service is much more plentiful. Keep your eye on the sales via their app notifications and email for increased valve for your over worked dollar. Returns are even a notable service, just make sure you remember a paper receipt and/or which credit card is used if it's to be credited back - this has been my pitfall at times.

I had the displeasure and unfortunate timing to run into Scott as the one and only person tending…read moreto the customer service desk upon my visiting this Plainville location today. I made the trip there specifically just to return a water line. Scott would not allow this claiming that once a product like this has been used (water touched it) that it counts as a biohazard and can't be put back on their shelves. Now, please take a moment if you will, dear reader, and explain to me how I'm supposed to know that a product I bought off their shelf would not work without first trying to actually use the product? This was a braided waterline with a flood defender affixed to it, and a supposed strict upgrade to the old plastic line I had prior. I bought a brand new Samsung fridge and figured that I would buy a brand new water line to go along with it. Perhaps the one I selected had a kink in it, a defective flood guard, or perhaps was just mishandled while in transport or while at the store... who knows because the entire selection of these waterlines were sprawled out everywhere along the floor of the warehouse instead of neatly in their designated spots on a shelf. Point is, I went to use the water line and it wasn't doing its job, and it was no fault of mine. Now before I tried to disconnect and return the product I gave it the benefit of doubt because I scheduled an appointment with the tech guys from the company that sold me the fridge (Costco) thinking that perhaps there was a chance that the fridge itself was the problem, maybe not pulling the water hard enough thru the line or something to this effect. But no, this was not the conclusion of the fridge service techs. They actually suggested I just try to buy a new line, and that is what I did. I went BACK to the same Lowe's I bought the first water line from and bought a different model line. And guess what happened... it works as it is supposed to! Well, sure seems to me like I was sold a defective or poor quality product initially, and based on that alone I can't for the life of me understand why I shouldn't be able to make a return. Well, despite my explaination, Scott still wouldn't process the return. Seeing how insistent he was I asked if there was someone else available that could help resolve this. I made the trip back there today solely to make this return and 28 dollars and change is not going to break my bank but I'd sure rather have my money in my account back than have a defective cable laying around my home. And the rudeness I encountered at the desk was unacceptable. This man Scott twice proclaimed that he was a manager. His name tag read "head cashier" or "head service desk" or something to that effect. Managers have the word manager written out for a reason. I have worked in a field where customer service is prioritized, and if I were to ever act so defiantly stubborn I'd expect consequences to follow. This man was the face of Lowe's customer service, a "head" representation of their values and it certainly left me in a terrible frame of mind today. I'm planning to follow up and make sure that this gets addressed, as I am very unhappy with my experience today.

I finally bought a DeWalt drill and really enjoyed it in terms of ease of use, great functionality, quality, and just handsomeness! Sadly, I misplaced that drill in one of my moves and no longer have it! Craftsman tools were a staple in my household as a little girl, and growing up, and we own several Craftsman tools even today! Craftsman has always been synonymous with quality and for years they had a guarantee where the company would replace any Craftsman product without any questions asked! I worked for a few years at the Huntsville Sears store at Madison Square Mall, and we sold a plethora of Craftsman tools and products. Who, at at least some point in their life, has not owned a Black and Decker dustbuster?! I think everyone has! I've had as many as two at a time in order to keep one at my work and then one at home! They are great for small-ish vacuum jobs and do a fine job and mine were rechargeable! They worked extremely well! I think I had a Black and Decker weed eater (they call it a "trimmer and edger") too, at some point, which, like all Black and Decker products I have owned, did a great job, was not terribly expensive and lasted a long time! For cleaning products, tools and outdoor yard cleaning items, Black and Decker has you covered! Thanks, Stanley Black and Decker for making reliable cleaning, repairing/assembling and yard care products!

I still have my toolbox and use tools for everything. The Craftsman brand is now owned by Stanley Black & Decker. Craftsman has great tools in my opinion but I'm not an expert. I also have owned many small Black and Decker appliances. I had used the Black and Decker Dust Buster for years and actually went through two of them. The third model I purchased was outdated with an electric cord when we now have rechargeable cordless technology. The toasters and coffee makers didn't last long before I had to keep replacing them. I guess that's why Black and Decker had problems. I can't recommend anymore.

You can find seasonal items, like artificial Christmas trees and other decor during the Christmas season and outdoor lounge and beach chairs during the summer season. There's all kinds of odd things you may find here depending on when you go. However, I mostly go for gas. Gas is about 15 - 20 cents less expensive here then other gas stations. It's currently above the $4.40 mark. Depending on when you go, the line can move decently quickly. I like that the hose can reach either side of your vehicle. So you don't have to pick and chose the line. Since this is a club, you must be a member to shop here. Its $55 for the year, or $25 if it's your first time joining. How much you shop here, answerers the question is it worth the membership fee. Personally I share a membership with my family. I don't shop here often because most items are in bulk and I just don't need most things in bulk. It makes sense to split the big tub of grapes with another person, but sometimes that's just a hassle. BJ's offers a good variety of home and grocery goods, as well as some additional services. I got winter tires here for my previous car one year, and it was the best price I could find in the area. BJ's might be a good club to join depending on what your family's needs are.
