I think my daughter was overwhelmed when we walked in; there are lots of choices. She could barely contain herself, but I guess that's to be expected of a two year old. I got her a kiddie scoop of decadent chocolate, which she liked but may have been a bit too chocolatey for her. Or maybe she just wanted to taste a bit of mine and was done with the chocolate. I got a single scoop of the caramel ice cream. I'm not really sure if the sizes were different or if it was the size of the cup because they seemed the same. Both ice creams were so flavorful, really rich. It's a dangerous place to stop that's for sure. But next time I'm getting a scoop of each! As with almost all the South Park businesses, there's no dedicated parking. You'll look for street parking. South Park is across the street so I imagine some days at the wading pool with a stop for ice cream afterward are in our future. There's seating both in and outside; we sat outside and it was really pleasant. They have pre-portioned ice cream in a cooler inside as well as ice cream cakes, and a water dispenser as well. They have a little cart that I've seen at various functions around town as well, if you're out and about and happen upon them. You can also rent the cart for your own event! The staff were helpful, the store was neat and tidy. This is a wonderful small business in Park Ridge and we're so lucky to have them here!

I brought the food back to my hotel room, where I had the sandwich right away. It wasn't the most photogenic, as the greens were hidden inside, but it was actually pretty good, with plentiful fillings that were a classic, delicious combo: ham, melted Brie, fig jam, and arugula. The danish, though, was rather meh. It didn't taste fresh at all and caramel was oddly cloying.

Yes, the Fashion Outlets mall is a high-end shopping center that international travelers can shop at, even during a Chicago layover since it is accessible by free shuttle service from and to the airport. So, I guess a high end sandwich shop in the food court is appropriate! Take a peek at the menu posted here, and you will understand that Mari Pari is not a run of the mill food court shop! After looking for a donut shop other than Dunkin Donuts, Joe Donut popped up in my Google search. I ordered a chocolate glazed red velvet, which was surprisingly good. I also ordered an Oreo crumbled glazed donut. Because it was large and there was glaze and Oreo crumble, I ate it in two settings. I don't know if the Glenview location is a bakery or a bake shop, possibly getting donuts in daily from a bakery location. The donuts were fresh but there seemingly was a limited supply when I went. And I went around 8:45 AM. It may have been that the commuter crowd had bought most of what was available. The location is at a train stop. Nevertheless, if I'm near Glenview and have a taste for donuts, I'II stop by Joe Donut again.

We ordered coffee, which they promptly refilled multiple times for us, and then two of us got the crepes with either strawberries or blueberries on top, and the other got one of the omlettes. The crepes were extremely good. Portions are great and prices are reasonable given the amount of food. The staff was friendly at 6:45 in the morning (they were way more awake than I was) No photos of the food because it was my first time meeting one of my colleagues IRL (and only the second time meeting the other) and I didn't want to be weird haha. But trust me that the food looked great. I took my leftovers home to my parents' house (because I was visiting them afterward). I let my dad have them because I knew they wouldn't survive the extra 90 minutes back to my house when I was done with my visit. He told me later he put vanilla ice cream on them and they were delicious, so they held up well in the 45 minutes it took me to get from Elly's to their house, and being reheated later in the day. The "Homemade" lemonade tasted like it was fountain lemonade. I left half of it, and the half that was consumed was mostly because my child wanted some.
