Americana with a twist. I had corned beef with potatoes and eggs served with salsa verde. The corned beef was delicious, crispy but not dried out. They had freshly made biscuits, which were cut in half and put on the grill. Different, but good. The Sonora omelet was tasty, highly recommend. The Denver omelet my hubby ordered was "just ok" but I think the bell pepper, which is synonymous with a Denver omelet, is just ok. Coffee was hot and plentiful. The place was packed, but the servers were still quick and attentive. Whoever is running the place has done a good job with staffing and customer service training. This was our third time into the Maple. There was one other table occupied as it was about an hour until closing. The other two times we were in, were good experiences which is why the four star review. This last visit wasn't great but we are all human. Although very nice, our service was slow and didn't have a lot of follow up after our food was delivered. My husband had coffee and did not get a second cup until after our food arrived, (we waited 25-30 mins for our food). My omelet was hot and the veggies and ham were fresh. My husband enjoyed almost all his meal but his toast was barely toasted. My hash browns were very crispy, next time I may ask for a light browning as it was just too crunchy for me. To be fair, I didn't say anything to our server because we were in a hurry by that point and as I stated before they were an hour from closing when we walked in. I am leaving this here and will do an update in the future. We feel an hour is still a fair amount of time to go in and get great food/service, especially if there is only one other table that is already eating. I was there multiple of times and every time I was not disappointed. The staff was always great even when they were stressful busy. Ashlin sometimes goes out her way to make sure everything is well with service and food by going around and asking patrons. Speaking of food You can't go wrong choosing a meal they are all good. The Maple (Two slices of French toast, two eggs and bacon or sausage) is my daughters and my favorite. Apparently my dad & brother come here often. I grew up in Ukiah and this was actually my first time. This was dads pick for fathers day. It was a larger number of us, 7. I didn't know that they take reservations, this might just be for busy special occasions but they did have a reservation list when we arrived. My sister had called and put our name on the "list" just before we walked over and when we arrived the restaurant was definitely full. Table after table, full! So we totally understood having to wait. What I didn't understand was after 10ish minutes of waiting outside I noticed smaller parties leaving and some table empty, why not push table together to sit us? Instead we waiting about 30 minutes and were sat in a back room, special 'large party' like room. One thing I will say, that woman that was holding it all down was very sweet, kept coming out and checking on us and updating us on what our table wait was looking like. Once we were sat we got right to getting drinks and getting out order in line, after that it seems like our waitress didn't really check on us but was checking on the other group in the 'large party' room since she knew them based on the conversations I overheard. We weren't offered coffee refill until she brought the check, and our food came out at weird times. I was the last to get my food, and by that time one of my nieces was just about done with her french toast. I will say that my food was really good. Built my own omelette and packed it with veggies and veggie sausage, very tasty. I was disappointed with the service once we were sat but I will be giving this place a second try because I understand that it was a busy day, and it can be hard to check on everyone in a timely manner. read more

The food felt clean for diner food and the coffee actually tasted like coffee, which if you ever frequent diners you know will usually taste like hot flavored water lol. So yea, I liked it. We had a very nice lunch here. I ordered the Cobb salad, which was very good. My husband ordered the Caprese sandwich which he said was delicious. He ordered his sandwich with Housemade potato chips. We had to order a second basket of potato chips. They were so good. We had very nice servers. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked really good. We ordered by phone for pickupon our way to Upper Lake because I was craving a breakfast burrito & found them on Yelp, and my burrito was sooo disappointing. It comes smothered and I said to put the chile sauce. IN the burrito instead of over, because eating in the car. But the order got garbled & they had omitted the chile altogether, so it was just eggs, cheese and an enormous amount of bacon. my bf said his BLT was just "competent." Next time I'm looking for breakfast in Ukiah I'll go to Mama's Cafe across the street, which has a healthier & more interesting breakfast menu. read more

We came here during our vacation and the food here was excellent and the service was great. I got the eggs benedict and my husband got a stack of pancakes with eggs and sausage. You also have to try their coffee. They make their own blend which gives the coffee an amber maple taste with no bitterness. It was so good. We came on a busy day but was still able to get a table right away. We will for sure come back here in the future. read more

My crew and I came here on a Wednesday morning. Pretty good sign that it was busy during a week day. They waitresses told us it'd be about 10-15 minute wait but that was doubled as it took almost 30 minutes just to be seated. The wait time for food wasn't super long so that was nice. Cool note, the hot tea is served in a light bulb lol. Everyone ordered breakfast food but I was already feeling lunch. I decided on a Philly cheesesteak and chose fries for my side. I was a little disappointed my food didn't come out hot and honestly it was just an average Philly. Nothing about it stuck out. However, my group seemed to really enjoy their breakfast combos, bfast quesadillas, bfast burrito, etc. Overall, it was an ok late bfast / early lunch. I don't think I have ever been to a place with a more odd and minimalist dining room. Some very basic tables and chairs scattered throughout the interior with a fake fireplace and a flat panel tv hanging above it. But they make a damn good breakfast and the service is stellar. We stopped in a weekday during the Holidays. We found the dining room to be quite busy with locals and were lucky to find a nice table for four along the State Street side. Our server introduced herself and within a few short minutes had cups of hot coffee sitting in front of us. The menu is your standard greasy spoon fare with all your favorites and a few surprises including chorizo. On this day I went with the chili cheese and cheddar omelette with a side of hash browns. The eggs were perfectly cooked, light and fluffy and a healthy amount of cheese. It was the perfect dish for a cold December day. The hash browns were grilled to perfection, crispy and golden on the outside and moist in the center. And I challenge anyone to clean your plate as the portions are huge! The toast is slightly disappointing, especially given the restaurants proximity to Schat's Bakery just around the corner. Why not pick up your bread products from there? If you do, I will award a fifth star. Maple has been around forever, but this was my first time venturing inside. And I can promise you it will not be my last. read more

We just left this place and I wouldn't ordinarily leave a bad review on a first time visit, but we ordered two cobb salads, one with the turkey on the side, and instead of turkey on the side, there was turkey and extra fried chicken strips in the salad. Ok, fine. Pick it off. But then the dressing is watery and insipid. Oh and then there's hair on the egg. 32 dollars for this experience. Hopefully it's a fluke. Won't be back. read more

My wife and I had breakfast here on the recommendation of a friend. Overall, it was pretty good but it could have been better. This is dinner fare and sadly, it doesn't rise above that. I had the Grande which included scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, a buttermilk pancake, and some bacon. The eggs were what you would expect from scrambled eggs. They were fine. The biscuits and gravy were only OK. I find these are rarely done well in restaurants. The buttermilk pancake was quite good, light and fluffy. The bacon was overcooked in places and undercooked in places. In short, it wasn't cooked properly but was rushed. My wife had the Veggie Omelet with country potatoes. She liked the potatoes better than I did. I found the red pepper overpowering on them so there wasn't much in the way of other flavors. She did like her omelet OK. The food wasn't bad, but there are several places in Ukiah that are better, like Elle's and brunch at Crush. read more

My aunt got the Belgium waffle that came out cold, butter wouldn't even melt. Flagged down a waitress and she brought her a new one which was hot out a microwave and rubbery.
