Not happy with the quality of the product here. Price should be an indicator. However, most people seem satisfied as their volume would indicate.Used them last year and it was just ok. This time my eyes improved over the last year yet I cant see as good so eye exam must be wrong. I need progressive lenses and these just don't work. They are cheap plastic even though I upgraded the lenses. They constantly stay smeared and never become clean and clear. Glare is horrible. I was rushed into picking a second pair of frames that are metal and really cheap and ugly. They rattle. Neither pair perform as they should. I believe prescription is wrong. Buyers should look elsewhere. So sad.... read more

What a scam! They advertised same day $79 for 2 pair and free eye exam, then they tried to charge me $40 for the exam and $300 for 1 pair of glasses because of my prescription not qualifying for the deal and then they said it'll take 2 weeks to get my glasses because they don't have that lens in stock! So I told them to give me my prescription and I'd just pay for the exam which they bumped up to $50 because I wasn't buying glasses. They get you in the door with false advertising and don't reveal the true costs until after the exam which you have to then pay for if you don't purchase glasses. read more

Had a really good experience. My daughter broke the frames on both of her glasses. I was expecting a delay in getting them repaired. Instead, we were greeted immediately walking in the door by Georgie Blake who provided excellent customer service. She provided new frames, swapped out the lenses and adjusted to my daughters face while we were there. We were in and out in about 15 minutes. Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

Wellexam was quick and the Dr. Was pleasant but when I finished my exam I was waiting for more then 40 minutes then the same lady who signed me in asked me if I was wait to get an exam I told her no I'm waiting for my prescription and bill. She sends me to another desk to sign in and the other woman sends me to a man who was telling me my bill is $95.00 when I was told over the phone the exam was $45.00 and free with the purchase of some glasses.they areout of my network so my co pay should of been $30 but end up being $25.00. Absolutely amazing experience with at least three different employees. And the eye doctor didn't make me feel rushed or like a fool for needing to go back and forth between slides. First the positive: employees are professional, friendly and courteous...but the store is filthy dirty! There is no doctor on premises except for a "Tele-doctor" this is beyond ridiculous!! So on Feb 6th came in and got an eye exam, that was a terrible experience there was technician on a computer screen and wasn't the nicest person in the world. The speakers she talked through were chippy and hurt my ears, I never want to do that again... kinda like getting water boarded but with a softer chair... Then there wasn't any organization to any of it, the staff seemed like they would rather not have anyone in the store and their attitudes reflected this. Kinda had to figure the process or on my own. 4 and 1/2 hours after arriving at the store picked out my 2 pairs of glasses and with insurance I get one pair, and have to pay out of pocket for the other... all good... So here our is almost March and I have yet to get either pair and no notifications about what is going on. I've had to call several times to find out about my order and one pair is finally in the other pair they say another 3 to 5 business days... In summary, if you go to Stanton optical remember if you want the nice newer looking safety or technical glasses look forwards to waiting at least a month or more... the rain for one star is the prices are pretty good but the staff need work.... and organization skills wouldn't hurt... perhaps a course on how to politely deal with the public, and get rid of that computer doc she sux.... Just an suggestion though how bout we pay for glasses after they arrive like buying anything else bet they would be more apt to treating people better or getting the glasses out faster.... read more

I was so happy with my new glasses. They were progressive and transitional. I loved the frame as well. It was stylish and lightweight. I only had them 3 weeks before putting them down after pulling weeds because sweat was burning my eyes. The next time I looked my husband was running over them with the lawnmower. Georgie came to my rescue. She searched and found multiple ways to save me money on another pair. She was so kind and helpful. I really wish I would have came on here to read the reviews before going there. We ordered some lenses for a pair of frames I provided. We were first told Same day turnaround. Then 7 days, then 14 days, then 15 days. It's now been 18 days and I walk in to pick up the glasses. Turns out the lens doesn't fit the glasses frame. They're too small. So it needs to be redone. These glasses were specifically for my teenage son who really needs them. I also regularly wear glasses and price wise. I've never paid more than 50 for a pair of lenses. I always purchase the frame outside. Here I was OVER charged 110. I paid it because I was told they would be done in 7 days and my son really needed them. Waste of time, waste of money and with nothing to show for it. They need to get their stuff together. Would never recommend. read more

I am very pleased with my experience with Stanton Optical. The prices seem to be a bit high (that is why I only gave a 4) but their customer service is great. We had an appointment and they were very busy. By the time they got around to our appointment it was the doctor's time for his lunch break. They are doing normal services except the exam, the dr was not there.. it was a video! And that's fine.. but they costs of the glasses are way too high! What they advertise is not what you get! This business has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROCESSES. 1st time in I bought glasses with transitions in 2018 and that I picked up in 2019 and by 2020 there transition was peeling of the lenses. I went to the store was told that I needed insurance to cover a replacement and that it is common for this to happen 1 year later. With all going on in the world I didn't make a big stink and want trying to go to jail because that's how business in conducted down here when you disagree with these businesses. But let me state I have frames and lenses that are 2-5 years old purchased in NYC and the transitions have NEVER come off. Most recently, the sons less than 3 month old frames are broken on both sides and Customer Service says I have to pay 20% of the cost to replace- ABSOLUTELY NOT!! The rep and her supervisor both made calls to the local store and neither were able to get ANYONE in the store to answer the phone in a 30 min interaction. This is incredibly difficult to understand bc I could call Walmart, Macy's, CVS, the doctors office and get through to human being at anytime. The final "resolution" was for me to wait for the an email response within 24-48 business hours. It's after 4pm on a Thursday- that means no resolution to my issue at best until Monday!! I went on Tuesday setup by an online appointment. I appreciated the electronic sign-in eliminating paperwork. The eye exam process was different with the online doctor, but, it was effectively sufficient, nonetheless. Then my worst nightmare, looking for frames! fortunately I was sent an angel to help me with the whole process, explaining everything I asked. She was truly heaven sent because I am very indecisive and she was extremely patient, kind, comforting and did I say patient!
