Long story short I then ended up being enrolled in a test trial at UCLA for stem cell deficiency where I qualified for surgery. Weeks before my procedure in need of a simple scan I called Medford office and they refused to do a simple test for me stating I was "dismissed" because I went elsewhere for care They sent me elsewhere and I wasn't asking for treatment or diagnosis just a TEST! My doctors office from UCLA even called and they said no. My point being is if you are ever referred to another office like OHSU four hours away, make sure you know whether they are going to "dismiss" you where you can't get a simple test done from them.

It is a small, single doctor private practice but I feel better going there than a big box store where they just want to make a buck. Additionally, they are fun people to work with. I love their extremely broad choice of styles. I've also had some issues with my frames after I totally crushed them when they fell out of my bag, and they were able to fix them on the spot. They also are really great about living up to warranties and getting that sorted in a timely manner. When it came time to check out I was actually billed $228, when I mentioned I was quoted something much different over the phone, I was told there was nothing they could do and that they don't know who would have said that (which is weird to me considering how small the clinic is). They either need to do a better job coaching their front office staff, or they need to honor what customer has been told to avoid other unfortunate discrepancies resulting in lost clients.

I tried 4 times to have my prescription emailed to me, once it not going through because of the gmail issue, once to my work address and there was a discrepancy that needed fixing and the girl I talked to said the Dr. had to do it, who was out of the country. I called to get it on the following week, they'd been too busy but would email it right then. Never came through. Called a week later, yes will send it... never came through. I had to find time to drive there, and it took two minutes to get it printed. In most of those phone conversations to get it emailed, they seemed exasperated, like I was a bother.
