They have, without a doubt, the worst communications system ever. I was greeted by Mohamed on my initial walk-in, when I told him I was redirected to this location he instantly knew who I w as I was browsing while they were processing my insurance Devonte came over to see if I was findimg everything alright and was professional through and through. I was at Stanton Optical yesterday and saw Dr Springer. He was so thorough and very nice. His patient coordinator Andrew was such a sweet heart and kept checking on me because they running a little behind. After I was done, he knew I was on social security so he told them to refund my money to me and then have the money go toward my glasses and contacts. Since this would be the first time I was going to be trying contact's he told them to order me trial contacts. I can not say enough positive things about them. Not to mention Alicia the manager in training. She was so helpful in choosing the right frames. My glasses were ready for me in about an hour and they are so perfect! Well, I was in a desperate place where I needed contacts that day and I had called Walmart, Costco, and a few local eye doctors and they didn't have my prescription. I called Stanton and they did have them, but I could only walk out with a trial pair if I bought some. That's fine, I needed to do that and the price was actually cheaper by a fair amount than other places I had called. I came in and was helped quick so I decided to make an appointment for my daughter. Well they sent me home with the wrong prescription trial pair and I had to wait two days before I could come back so my emergency pair wound up not helping and I had to suffer with my old pair of glasses that wasn't the right prescription. Ok..... oh well, everyone makes mistakes. Flash forward to the day of our appointment. I had made the appointment for 4:15, but wanted to double check cause I always confirm appointments. I called and I was told it was actually at 3:45! So I came 20 minutes early and arrived at 3:20. They told me at check in my appointment wasn't actually until 4:45!!!! (Irritated cause I even asked the guy " really? I thought my appointment was at 4:15, you sure it's not 4:45??" " no ma'am, it's at 3:45 today") So they tell me that they only have 1 person ahead of me and they will get me in in under 20 minutes. Cool. Except after waiting 45 minutes I decide to ask what the wait was and why did they take 3 people back( I'm reasonable and assumed maybe they had appointments) I got told there was now 5 people waiting and they double booked the 1 doctor. Ooookkkk......I again ask what the wait is and they say 30 minutes. So I sit back down. I decided to go and clear up the contact issue and got the correct trial pair and confirmed the order was correct. We also went and made sure we knew what glasses we wanted so we wouldn't have to spend more time doing that should we need them. We waited another 45 minutes and so I checked again ( I hate being the person who always asks wait times but I had other places to be) they told me I'm next again, so we went out and sat down. They came right out and said they'd see us. But apparently it was just to do one thing( check the health of her eyes?) Then they sent us back out. So I went right back and asked if I could buy the glasses now and if we didn't wind up needing them, we could cancel the order. They said sure so I knocked that out. They kicked in a $20 discount on top of the bogo for making me wait. That was really nice and I wasn't expecting that. Once that was done, we waited some more and were called back at 4:55. The doctor put drops in her eyes, told us it would take 5 minutes to fully dilate her eyes so we got sent to the waiting room AGAIN! They said they'd come get us at 5:10( which is 15 minutes, not 5 but whatever) I waited 25 minutes before I got up and told them if they call me back for a 1/10 of my appointment again and send me out to the waiting room to wait another 25-45 minutes again I was going to loose it. I'm 8.5 months pregnant, I had missed another appointment waiting on this one, I had a hungry kid and I had medication I needed to take ( I'm high risk so I have to take meds at a certain time and I was already an hour over due) and that I was starting to get really ticked off. So they told me they'd get me back next. So at 5:30 I was taken back and we did the exam. We finished and then went out to order her glasses. We walked out of the office at 5:50. We were there 2 hours and half hours......... Now I get doctors offices being busy and such, but I was told a 20 minute wait. They should have told me out right they couldn't get me in until my appointment time and told me they were double booked right away. Also, I don't care if they think that stacking patients like that where they see 5 patients at once is a good idea...... it's not. Finish what you start and THEN start a new patient. They get 3 stars because despite the TERRIBLE time management, the staff was friendly, They fixed the contact sample issue and confirmed with me actually looking at the order compared to the script that the contacts we ordered were the correct ones, I didn't feel pressured to buy anything I didn't want as many people have complained about ( ie: car salesman pitch) and they gave discounts to make up for the wait. Also the selection was vast and the building was very clean. I will also mention that when originally calling, I was disconnected every time I was transferred to a different person and spent 20 minutes calling to just confirm they had my contacts. Then the issue with the phone guy telling me my appointment time incorrectly. So they need to work on that. read more

Expensive. Moe helped me out and told me about care credit and got me signed up. He was very helpful and patient with me. The guy that was cleaning up my glasses took the time to adjust them. Picked up my eyeglasses today at Stanton Optical in Modesto. I did not have to wait more than a minute or two to be seen ( I hit it at just the right time). I have a very complicated prescription that includes progressive lenses with prism added. They took a lot of time working with me to pick out my frames when I placed the order originally, and making sure my prescription was entered in their system accurately. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up my finished glasses today that I could see perfectly right away, after a few adjustments to the fit. I do not even need time to adjust to the new prescription! The staff members who took care of me both when picking out my frames originally, and when picking them up today, made me feel like I could take as much time as I needed to make sure I was happy (I feel really bad, I can't remember their names to give them a personal shout out). And they both made sure I knew that if I was unhappy with the fit, my vision with the new lenses, or even if I don't like the frames, to come back and they will make it right! I am very pleased with the customer service and with my new glasses! All in all, a great experience! read more

One of the easiest glasses places I've even been in. Went last night and got an eye exam along with glasses and some sunglasses. My eyeglasses were ready in 15 minutes like promised and I will be getting my sunglasses soon. That night an incident happened and my new glasses got broken went into the store today and was helped automatically and fit with another pair of my new glasses out of my 4 free frames so I'm down to 3 was super fast and easy and the workers are all very kind you won't regret going here. read more

I really needed contacts and new glasses today and when I called this morning they got me in this afternoon! Everyone that I talked with was very nice to me and even though it was busy they all took care of me in a timely fashion aha. The eye Dr. (sorry I didn't write her name down but I loved her white manicure ) was super helpful and very thorough at answering ALL of my contact questions and I am so excited that I will be able to see perfectly on my trip to Australia! Then Ms.Tayla was more than patient with me and I am VERY indecisive. She also gave me great advice when I was choosing a frame and I am very confident in my selection. I got fitted for lined trifocals and they arrived at the store ahead of schedule. Unfortunately the bi-focal split was not big enough for my preference. I returned to the store and received VERY good service from Jose and Brook - she works in the lab. She showed Jose how to find the right sized bifocal split for my eyes and the size of my glasses. Jose ordered lenses for my second pair, that I am still wearing to be able to see, so that when the order comes in, these lenses can be replaced on the same day. I've read some bad reviews, but I have had very good service from this location. I hope others find the same to be true for their experience. read more

I reviewed this store with only one star after I felt over-charged for my glasses. However, I later went in and talked to the manager and he quickly and politely corrected the discrepancy. I called late Wednesday evening and was able to make an appointment for the next day at 3 pm. The eye exam was really fast and everyone was pretty friendly. I was able to get my eyeglasses the same day as my appointment. A gentleman by the name of Mo helped me out a lot, he made sure I left with not one pair but two pairs of eyeglasses. I,m giving one star because you don't have anything lower. Since I got my glasses from Stanton my eyesight has gotten worse. The prescription they gave me was totally inappropriate for my eyes , now I see better without wearing the glasses they gave me. I just made a appointment with the VA as they will do a better job. The first time I went here about 2 weeks ago on my birthday to be exact, asked for my birthday to start of, wow did not even noticed that's my bday and I'm there being punished. No greetings of some sort so you know off the bat this is all just business to them. Don't care about customer at all. Step inside the next room to see two ladies who I assumed one is being trained at the moment. My husband talked to them about insurance and the lady told my husband they will take care of our insurance right after taking care of our information. That didn't happen coz at the later time when they are taking care of our bill they found out that we were already being run by another optic place which in the beginning my husband already told them and they said they will take care of it already. Sadness to this kind of place, big place and I thought would be a better one to go to but that's all. Not everybody knows their deal, we have to wait longer just to talk with someone they said with a white lab coat but at that time there weren't any. We just look around without any help and waited for at least half an hour so my husband decided to go to one of the people that work there and ask if anybody will be willing to help us. That is really poor customer service. I felt so bad that people over there doesn't seem to know how to interact with their customers. I waited for my glasses to be done for 2 weeks which I get they said but if I didn't call, I would have never known that it was already there at their place and ready to be picked up. Lastly, the day of pick up, no one is at the front desk, people around that works there doesn't really know how to interact or at least say something to show that they see you standing there. They just like walking around the place but do not acknowledge any customers walking in and ask if they need help or let you know someone will be with you or something, like other normal places do. Just so upsetting!!! All I want is for someone to just hand me my glasses so I can go. I felt so stupid being in that place because that's exactly how they made me feel. They treated customers like they already know what to do once they walk in there which that was my very first time being in there. Every place have their different ways of taking care of customers. Theirs is just a complete failure. Including the lady that helped with my glasses the first day I was there. I felt no connection with her at all. Sadness and COMPLETE FAILURE! If I could give this place a negative stars I would. I went to this awful store in Sept 2020 for an eye exam. The exam was done by a Dr through a monitor_ I should have ran then. Very long story but I have had 3 glasses made all wrong. Wrong prescription written. Anyways it is now Jan 2021 and I still have yet to receive a refund. I have called customer service more then 10 times, I have gone into the store to many times to count and still no refund. This store has had my money since Sept 2020 and I have nothing but a complete a total run around. Never go to this store_I repeat never unless you don't need glasses and enjoy being put on hold and hung up on-Awful place!!! read more

This was the worse experience I've ever had trying to get glasses. If I could give negative stars, I would. Arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment. Took care of everything, saw the optometrist, and was very excited during my exam to see clearly. They told me to pick out my frames and find someone in a "white lab coat" to help me. Picked the frames and went over to the desk just to stand there for 5 minutes before either person behind the counter looked up and asked if I needed help. Nope. Just standing here for my health. Finally got some help but the girl "helping" me didn't understand my insurance and was totally useless and the person who handles it had already left so I just ordered the basic. Terrible customer service. Anyway, was told, and it was written on my receipt by said useless girl, to pick up my glasses the next day, Saturday, after 1pm. Great! Super fast! I'll ignore the bad service. Went at 2:30 pm Saturday and....no glasses. All they could say is "oh well. They aren't ready and won't be ready till Tuesday." Ok. Tuesday comes and I call to see if they are ready. Spoke to Caleb who said he would check. 35 MINUTES on hold and they had no idea. Finally a woman comes on and rudely states they they are ready. Fine. Drive down again and....can't see out of them. They give me blurry double vision. I read better without them. Some heating and bending and it's not getting better. Finally they send me in to see the optometrist again just to find they put the wrong numbers in and my prescription was wrong. Finally said screw it and left. I will never do business with this company again and my next stop is to file a complaint with VSP insurance since we both paid for glasses I can't use. Do yourself a favor and go to a real optometrist office. Update 8/16/17: After posting my previous review I received a comment from Stanton's Customer Retention Dept. I emailed them and explained what had happened again. I received a very nice reply with an invitation to go back one more time for a full exam to get them fixed and provided me with a credit to use when I went back in. Turned out the 1st optometrist I saw messed up the prescription on my astigmatism which is why my glasses were wrong. The 2nd optometrist, Dr. Phan (sp?), who was awesome, and the very nice lady who helped me with my 3rd glasses order, Tayla? (I'm sorry I don't have my receipt with your name to make sure it is correct but was even more awesome!) took the time and made sure everything was right. While my glasses were still not ready at the time they told me they would be they worked hard once I was there to get them done as quickly as possible and I only had to wait about 10 minutes. They also gave me a free lens cleaning kit for having to wait. I am able to see now with my new glasses! While I'm still not sure I would ever go back I will update my review from 1 star to 3 stars for them going above and beyond to do what they could to correct the fiasco and make sure I had glasses I could use. read more

What an awesome experience! Having gone to other optometrist offices, none were this great. Value wise, you cannot beat their deal on a eye exam and pair of glasses. Their frame selection is huge and offers many great styles and lense sizes. The optometrist was very knowledge and personable. Answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. The office assistant was very friendly and knowledgable about contact lenses and the ins and outs of daily care. Brooke was awesome, she paid very close attention to my needs and really personalized my experience. I would highly recommend visiting this business! read more
