This was the best experience with an optometry's office I have ever had. (Or honestly with any business.) The staff was SO helpful and wonderful. I got help from Bet, Elizabeth, Aisha, and Jesse, and they were all very kind and sweet and made my experience so easy and....dare I say fun? They are amazing individuals that deserve diamond encrusted plaques that say "Best Employee Ever," but all I can really do is a yelp review. Anyway, everyone that needs an eye exam should go here. After making an appointment, driving for several hours and sitting through an extensive eye exam only to be told that their doctor would not issue a prescription because I have some cataract involvement left me no option other than to find a better alternative. Eye Mart fulfilled the goal. I can't recommend Stanton Optical for wasting my time and money. Thumbs down to the doctor there and their business policy. They advertise 2 pairs of glasses for $79, free eye exam, same day! Most of the eye exam is through a dr on a tv monitor. When it came time to choose my two pairs of glasses, they said I had to choose a more expensive frame per my prescription ( which was basically readers).$130. They said they would call when ready.. I waited 3 weeks, then dropped by and they handed them to me. I said" are you not going to fit them for me?"they said no if there's a problem just come back for another exam.I tried them on and they were so blurry I could hardly see through them...I will never go back. I went into Stanton optical in July to order multifocal contact lenses & bifocal eye glasses. They sent the wrong presiptionon both items, so because I only used the trial lenses, I was refunded $263.36 for the conch lenses. I paid them for a new eye exam as my previous one for glasses was a year old, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. New glasses came in with totally wrong prescription too so I requested a refund. It's now been since 10/24/24 that I have been waiting for eye glass refund. No luck just promises. Meanwhile I got a correct exam at Costco & had to lay out more $$ for same & glasses. This is the worst place I've ever been to in my 58 years of wearing corrective lenses. You can't even speak to the optometrist as he's remote. I couldn't get the correction to my bifocal I need for my work situation. I also couldn't get the contacts I've been using for years and I have an astigmatism which I can get correction for in both my glasses and contacts but not here. Now I have to go to another optometrist to get my correct prescription. read more

Made an appointment went for appointment. Ask them to check my insurance which is vsp. I asked them to look it up as I did not have the information she said they don't do that I said other places just look it up she said you have to log on make an account etc. I said you can't look it up she said we don't do that and I said bye-bye cancel the appointment. read more

Let me start by saying that the staff was very polite and and tried their best to meet my needs during my visit. However, I went in for both new glasses and also new lenses for my existing frames, as well as an eye exam. My disappointment is mainly focused on the eye exam. The employee doing the initial part of the exam was very friendly and easy to work with, but it was vey obvious from the very beginning of the exam that she did not have much experience. She managed to finish the initial screening part of the exam and then put in a request for a qualified eye doctor to come do the "exam" part of the eye test. I was quite surprised to find out that an actual eye doctor was not on staff full time. After waiting for over 45 minutes for an eye doctor to show up, the person that did the initial screening said she was going to do the exam because it was "taking too long for a doctor" to respond and show up for the eye test. During the actual test, her inexperience was even more obvious. She was very uncertain how to conduct the test and even had to bring the store manager in twice during the test to answer questions on how to proceed. She managed to make it through the entire eye exam and was very nice during the whole process, but I could not help but thinking, "this is my vision we're dealing with here" and having major concerns about the quality and validity of the final results of the exam! In hind sight, I should have insisted on waiting for an actual qualified eye doctor before proceeding with the test, but after waiting for almost an hour for a doctor to show up, I just wanted to get the exam (and visit) completed. As of now, I have not actually received my glasses, and can only hope that my new prescription is correct and I have no problems with my vision once I get my new glasses. This was the first time I used Stanton Optical for my vision needs, and unfortunately, probably my last. Oh, and the pricing was quite shocking as well. My vision insurance covered most of the cost of the new frames and lenses, however, the new lenses that will be put into my EXISTING frames costs $557.00!! Not a typo... for a pair of progressive lenses ONLY (no frames). Needless to say, I won't be going back to Stanton Optical in the future. read more

do not patronize this business go elsewhere they advertise $79. Good luck getting that price. They do not tell you about the hidden cost. I received my glasses and the prescription was wrong. I opted for a refund took them forever to refund my money. I would caution anyone who visits this businesses to go elsewhere? Their bottom line is getting money out of the customer. read more

Had to go in to have a pair of glasses repaired because the screw was stripped. They fixed it with a smile on their faces. Also bought another pair of single vision glasses for computer work. The only question I have is if they have a lab in office why aren't they made there? Not a complaint just a question. read more

I called to make appointment a little did I know they where able to make an appointment for the same day Wow I was pleasantly surprised. Me an my husband went in they greeted us as soon as we walked in . the gentleman who made our appointment he was there he was new and so nice . The ladies Mican and Diane were awesome 5 they were very polite and professional and they made us feel comfortable. My husband got glasses the same day .2 pairs an exam for $79.00 I got glasses an I got an exam for contacts too. We were so happy with the excellent customer service. I went to Stanton Optical yesterday to get an Exam and some new glasses. I had some trouble finding my insurance, and the very nice lady at the counter went above and beyond to help me. She called my insurance - which has never happened to me before - and assisted me with finding it! I appreciate how patient, professional, and kind she was with assisting me. They also have a huge selection of frames for men, women, and children. I was also able to get two beautiful pairs at a great price because I could buy the second 60% off. Jaime and Diane are incredible! Diane is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, she is always willing to help! Went in this Saturday morning there was a group of us waiting for our exam, Jamie and Diane came in to assist, Jaime jumped right on getting everyone checked in while Diane transitioned clients into the exam room, after a 3rd staff member did the initial testing. They worked like a well oiled machine and got us all through the exam without a ton of waiting. Jaime went above and beyond for me that morning when there was a miscommunication and misunderstanding and all I can say is I am very appreciative and I will continue to pick them for many years to come! read more

I had my eye checked and got glasses and contacts in March 2023. The prescription is sort of ok. I used my insurance, so I have suck it up for 2 years before I can use my benefits on a new prescription for glasses. I dont know if my issue is with other Stanton locations or if it is just this one, but they do not know how to make sure the glasses fit. I don't think they have had any training on fitting. I also think not having an actual eye doctor in the room is part of the issue for the prescription. I spent over $750 on two pairs of glasses that will not stay on my nose. The frames are a bit wide, and so they fall off. I have been wearing glasses for years, and this is a first for me. I have tried on frames that were too big, but generally, the optician has said so. But not at this location. The young very young girl just cheered me on, on my selections. One of the pairs has progressive lenses, and because they won't stay up on my nose, they are impossible to wear without causing headaches. I have taken my glasses in to be refitted countless times, but no one can make the frames shrink. Waste of money! read more

Bought glasses at Stanton and they came without the lenses I had ordered. Was told new lenses would be coming and made numerous calls to Stanton, always being assured the lenses would arrive. They never did. Apparently they will tell you anything, even if it is not true. Beware of this place! read more
