I walked in because of the buy one get one deal they have going on, they were extremely kind and helpful considering I'm an extremely indecisive person. I also had a eye exam free of charge, with a doctor who was really attentive. When picking up my glasses, they were really courteous and made sure I was completely satisfied with the look and fit of my new glasses. Special recognition goes out to Mathew who was so patient with me when helping me adjust my second pair of glasses, and for not stressing out when changing my mind. This place has terrible customer service. Upon walking in it wasn't busy at all. One guy approached me then when he realized I had insurance passed me off to another guy who clearly didn't want to help me but was kind of left with no choice. When I brought up insurance after himming and hawing he left to get check benefits 15 mins later he came back and gave me some story about how the 2 glasses for $59 wouldn't apply if I chose to use my insurance. Well that was fine bc I didn't need two pairs any way. Then he kept pressing the issue about getting the two pair of glasses. The whole situation just had really bad customer service. Different location - but I assume all of their stores have the same quality. My dark brown frames started losing the finish (on top where nothing hits) in under 3 months and they wanted to charge me to replace them with something else ?! I said nevermind (I refuse to pay More to a company with inferior products) - then as soon as I stopped wearing them a rash on my nose when away - put them on for a day and it's back - apparently the nose rubber pieces are unusual - I've had 100s of glasses in all price ranges and None caused that. Cannot recommend them at Any price. read more

I am writing this review, so you don't make the same mistake i did. This place is a SCAM !! I went there for my contact lenses exam. They don't even have a doctor on site. When i went to the room for the exam, they connect a computer with a person in Florida and through the TV they change the lenses on the machine. After the examination, i was told that i will have the trial contact lenses. They made me wait for 30min on the waiting area. While i was waiting, they just got more patients, like a production line ( or a bait ). If you want a decent examination, go to WalMart which is next door or even better, go to COSTCO ( they are serious about customer service). Another thing, while i was waiting, there was this "used car sales man" trying to selling me all kinds of glasses. read more

I highly discourage anyone from visiting this location. I could not get an appointment anywhere else for weeks or months and thought I got lucky that I was able to be seen within an hour on the same day here. When I arrived at the location I was The only appointment waiting, as I was filling out my paperwork another woman came in behind me. After my eye exam I was told to pick out frames with no explanation of deals, prices or anything else and then ignored for an hour and a half. I sat there and watched as the employees tried to sell glasses to three people who walked in off the street and finished the appointment of the woman who came in behind me. When I finally got tired of waiting and asked for a copy of my prescription and to pay for my eye exam. Deciding to get glasses anywhere else I was finally approached by a man who felt more like a slimy salesman and less like a representative of a health care organization. Instead of an apology or customer service this employee tried to hard sell me glasses. Even though promotional offers are great there is no way I am going to spend my money here. I would rather pay more. When the employee realized I wasn't going to buy glasses from this location he tossed my prescription at me over the counter and turned around and walked away while I was in mid-sentence. I don't know if this place is franchised or if this is a top down problem within the whole corporation but this place is awful, I cannot urge you to find another place strongly enough. The emphasis is on selling glasses and the lack of concern to the individual is so obvious I'm surprised this place is still in business. If I could give a -5 stars I would. read more

Horrible place horrible customer service. Was given an eye exam while wearing my contacts in, they told they would not charge and they did! I called spoke with mark believe supervisor white huh skinny and beard, he said to come in to store and get a refund. Just left the store he said he tried calling me to tell me no refund but I could do another exam! The 15 minute exam lasted two hours!!!!! No he never called and if he did why did he NOT leave a message??????? Just a lie after a lie, so fraud and horrible customer service and obviously thy don't know what they are doing!!!!!! Went to Stanton Optical because about a year ago I went to them and they did a pretty good job. This year I went to them and their prescription was totally wrong and so I've been to my ophthalmologist and went later to another optometrist. They were incorrect! So what did they do? Nothing except make excuses and tell me that their boss would eventually call me back and try to credit me for the optical exam. Never happened so I paid the money for nothing basically. P L E A S E D O N O T S H O P T H E R E. The bad reviews are telling the truth. I experienced this for myself and now I regret not following my instincts. Do not go to this location. The doctor isn't even on-site and your eye exam is done through a satellite call. The only employees are the two associates who help run the pre-exams and the general manager. Normally, I never leave reviews, but this was so disappointing and honestly, appalling. The entire appointment from start to finish was awkward and uncomfortable. I've never had such a difficult time purchasing lenses. I went in for the 2 For $59.95 + Free Exam deal and that right there is a waste of time because they only have TWO rows in the entire store for you to choose from. An entire store of frames and they only provide you with two, small rows to pick from. I'm a grown woman so I definitely don't want neon orange frames with white zebra stripes. Nobody wants neon orange frames with white zebra stripes! After my awkward satellite call eye exam and becoming frustrated with my pickings for frames, I decided on two frames outside of the two rows and I changed to the BOGO deal. I choose two okay frames and proceed to checkout. The associate says they are going to give me my total for my frames priced at $49 each. They hand me the sheet and the total is $300????????? My jaw dropped and I know my eyes got wide. Excuse me??? So I'm reading the paper with my total and there's all this extra stuff added onto my tab? I wanted just my glasses so I could see at work and at night and the associate tried to add all this stuff on there without me knowing. Listen, I know that's a trick in retail to upsell stuff, but that never works. It's just annoying. They kept trying to push me on getting the extras even AFTER I said I don't want them. I DID not ask for anything or even indicate I wanted extra so that right there completely pissed me off. Anyway, very long story short, I ended up with over $280 savings and I was still overcharged. They somehow discounted my purchase because I was getting fed up with them and now I have two pairs of frames and a surefire promise to never go back there. read more

I went here with my boyfriend and asked a lot of questions which is good to do so you're not potentially disappointed later on. The wait time took waaaaayy longer than expected. What I thought would be 20 minutes took 3 1/2 hours. I ended up nearly walking out because I felt they weren't respectful of my time. But George Antypas ended up helping us out and apologized for the long wait time. He was able to get me a slightly nicer pair for what I paid in the buy 1 get one free deal. the worst experience i have ever had. i was up sold, by mike the manager. if i could give no stars, i most certainly would!!!!!! i came in initially need just and eye exam and contacts. he was so pushy and wanted me to purchase frames as well. i did not like any of the frames they had and i expressed that to him. he up sold me and told me i could bring in any pair of glasses and they would put my prescription in my own frames. so i ended up paying for sun-glass lenses and an extra $50 for polarized. the next day i brought in my quay sunglasses and dropped them off to have my sunglasses prescription added. 2 weeks later i received a call telling my my frames were too large and the lab was unable to fit my lenses in them. i asked why it took 2 weeks and the lady on the phone said well we have only had your glasses for 2 days. i was pissed. she offered me to come in and pick out and frames and they would put the prescription lenses in the ones i chose. so i go back to pick, looked and the inventory again, and as before i didn't like them. i asked for a refund of what i paid for the sun-glass lenses. as she brings me my personal glasses i dropped off.... the are absolutely no lenses in them at all. i asked where my lenses were she said that is how the lab sent them back. she had no other answer. i literally lost it. i would never ever go back to this place. they are unprofessional and only care about their sales and commission. stanton optical is horrible!!!! read more
