During college I used to go into Kinko's all the time, but that was some time ago. I needed to get some posters laminated for the kid and send out a ups package. I was impressed with Staples. Better than Kinko's and they have items you wouldn't think of like N95 masks and other sanitation needs. Mine as well grab the broom you keep forgetting at Target and the swifter refills. Lol. This Staples has excellent workers!!! I called the copy department and had all my questions answered efficiently. Straight to the point of pricing. The pricing for photo copies was doable and I left satisfied. The person handling the copy center was a sweet woman. She handled my picture with care. I came in with one of my only baby pictures in existence looking to get wallet copies to give to some family members. I was able to get a page of 9 wallet and 1 full sized copy. Their costs are good. If I worked at Dunder Mifflin, I'd let this Staples run us out of business! I ended up buying well priced scissors on my way out. Just went to staples to print out some labels for a package , as I was leaving I saw that they took Amazon drop offs so I decided to drop it off there , one of the workers there told me that the barcode was only for Amazon which was obviously the point of me being there & I asked her if they didn't take Amazon drop offs anymore or ups & she she decides to hit me with a " do I look like ups to you" pointing at their sign immediately I just grabbed my package told her that there was no need to be rude walked away . Terrible customer service. When I asked for help with finding items, I was met by a loud sigh and eye roll, and no eye contact when asked what I needed help with. This middle aged white female with red hair was not shy to inform me that she didn't know anything about printer toners and I'd just have to "figure it out" for myself and then bring the items back unopened if it didn't work out. I had a hand signed 20x30 lithograph of Joe Montara and Bill Walsh that I wanted to reproduce. At first I tried with my phone, in the past scanned photos came out terrific. T My first attempt, not so much. So I went to Staples. Sure enough, they had a full size scanner that was.able to get a better digital file. But before printing, Fili (Sp?) Asked me to look at his computer. To me it looked great. But he pointed to a very, very faint line; he needed to really enlarge it for me to actually see it. And then asked that I wait, in order for the scanner to be cleaned or serviced. Two days later the reproduction is all but indistinguishable from the original. I am impressed that Fili took the time to inspect the digital file closely enough to find the imperfection. I'm pleased that he didn't simply figure that the customer would never notice it. Mind you, the cost for the scan was only about $2.35! read more

I'm giving three stars because of an associate on his very first day that went out of his way to help me even when he was busy with another customer. His name is Brandon he also because of his efforts was able to get me to sign up for the Staples rewards program. Originally I was a little dissatisfied with one of the assistant or general managers because they were having a powwow in the back I was looking for a 144 a drum kit and she might've known off the top of her head that they did not have any but she would not look in the system which is what I was expecting because I drove 25 minutes to get here. I'm so very saddened to write this, and I love this place. I love the items they carry, the service on the floor was great. About 1.5 weeks ago I went to the copy&print center. A gentleman helped me, who was spot-on. The one star is for him and the former service I received! He accessed the correct documents and verified the folder a few times before printing my 13 copies via USB drive. Offered me a bag for the copies and sent me on my way. I go in yesterday to print a pre-paid shipping label around 1-1:30pm and a lady/young women helps me (I believe she was wearing glasses). Mind you, I have trust in them now from my former great experience. I had placed the shipping label within the same specific folder on the USB drive as last time, and informed her of the folder the file was in. I made it simple since I had a lot of documents and files in the USB drive. My informative instructions of the specific file were ignored, and she then said "pre-paid shipping label, correct?" As I believed she was in the CORRECT folder, I said "yes". She didn't reconfirm the folder name at all. I was not offered a bag for my print as I did last time. Fast-forward to today. I put the items in the box, packaged it all precise, and dropped it in the mail slot at the USPS. I got to the app I am selling my items on to check for the scan 30-minutes later, and realize that the rep printed the incorrect shipping label! Now, I am unable to track my items as it is a USED shipping label. I went back to USPS as soon as I realized this and went to the back of their store and literally sifted through hundreds of boxes. No luck. Sat on the phone for 1.5 hours with their customer service for them to tell me I'm SOL. I either have to wait for the box to get rejected and returned to the USPS facility (hoping for this) or it will arrive at the former customers' house. Thankfully, both customers are aware and are genuine people. So I then contact the Staples center and speak to the same rep. All I am offered is a reprint. I potentially lost my package to this error as well as a potential bad rating on my app, and no courtesy at all is given. You all really need to be more mindful when it comes to printing documents. I am thankful that my items were materialistic and not some important documents! One day you are going to be in some deep doo-doo if your employees continue to be careless. read more

This review is for the overall customer service and for a specific employee working at the Print department, Pa. So there we were half-hour before closing with terrifying Graphic Design projects at stake. And We realized other print companies will take at least 24 hours, but we can't have that because our presentation is the next day! Luckily for us, a bold and brave warrior named Pa helped us in our woes, all while handling 5 other customers (plus the 3 of us) AND KEEPING A SMILE ON. If she was in the great battle of the Night King, she would SURVIVE. Definitely Wonder Woman in the flesh. She basically saved our heads from the chopping block because we got our work finished, great quality, and efficiency! Ive never seen so much grace under extreme duress. The print center here is terrible spoke with a man named jose and he was quite arrogant when he spoke with me. I ordered same day printing at 8 pm yesterday for it to be ready today and they said my order will not be ready until 830 pm I asked them how many orders they had to print today he said they only had 12 12 to do all day My prints would literally take 5 minutes He then offered if I wanted to pay extra he would let me cut the line.. For me that's frustrating because now I have to pay more money for it to be done at a decent time ? SO even though they supposedly go in order of when received if you pay more you then can cut the line and I fall to the back, Wont go here again. read more

Horrible experience , made an appointment at 4:20PM for TSA Pre-Check and upon arrival an employee at the Tech Support Center who was not friendly immediately stated (with no opening greeting or even a "How can I help you?") that I "had to wait" for the person that is able to so this task to get off lunch at 5PM. I understood that they are unavailable from 4:30-5 for lunch but I really hoped they would mindful about my appointment time since I had arranged my day to make it to make it to this appointment. Although I did arrive at 4:23, I expected them to honor their hours and be able to assist me with this quick process. I continued to wait for the next 30 minutes and when they employees returned, still nobody greeted me although I was clearly waiting for a service. The person who helped me with TSA Pre-Check was the most kind but still not satisfactory. I question their hours and why they weren't available at 4:23 and the manager was very rude and told me that I HAD to be here at 4:20 on the dot to be assisted. No later. Although they were available until 4:30. I love that staples offers this service but am highly disappointed in employees at this location. Me and my bf came here so that he could make some copies. He needed to make 70 copies. It was 11 cents per copy. The person that takes care of the shipping also takes care of the copying services there was only one person available to help people and they were helping somebody else so it took about 10 minutes for waiting for the other person to get taken care of first. Then he got his service. I believe they do a free delivery when you order over certain amount of office supplies. There is a convenience of being located in the Hub and to being able to find several office supplies in one spot, however some things are not necessarily the best price, such as the daily planners. I don't feel that they have as much as office depot. They have cute duct tape. read more

I hated my experience here.. I came here about two days ago and went to the print station.. My job had sent me here bc we needed post cards and I brought the copy on an USB drive. There were two people working some white guy with hipster glasses and a girl .. Who went somewhere after like two mins. So now this white guy is "helping me" and says I have to use the computer and upload it to the system bc they can't do the post card other wise so I'm like fine and now the computer is charging me money .. Which still I'm fine with and but I needed help with the steps bc it was super confusing to do online .. Which is why I came into the store in the first place .. This guys phone is ringing he is not paying attention to my questions and it's like my time is literally money right now and finally he comes and says I'll do this for you super fast don't worry.. Why couldn't you have done that for me from the beginning ?! Also while he is working on my post cards he's singing and tapping the table .. So unprofessional I left super irritated.. This place is "understaffed"! What I mean by that is you'll find Staples Employees just standing around having conversations with each other instead of actually helping customers find what they need and help them get in/out of the store as quick as possible. One employee saw that two cashiers were busy with prolonged cases, but took no action to help the line move or open another register. One employee walked by and after being approached, opened up a check-out lane. What should have been a quick buy and leave situation, ended up taking 20+ minutes of waiting! Also this is not the first time such a thing has happened! You can order your stuff online, but they'll take forever to bring your product out to you. I don't know what to do because he is traveling overseas on Sunday. How the hell I will get a picture and get a Passport that fast today is Wednesday three more days left. I will gladly say thanks for attempting to make a bad situation better however, the card processing machine not working is not my fault, the deed of manually making my business cards is also appreciated but they return incorrect, again not my fault. With that being said, I don't find it fait nor in good business practice to have a "NEW" business customer pay for your error. Reminder, the cards were manually done by a staples employee, human error. Granted, I have not been charged for anything due to much inconvenience but when it is expressed that I am in Southern California attending an event (primary purpose for the business cards). I am told that I may be required to pay for the cards. Staples opened up a new store in the Fremont Hub, replacing the empty hole that Office Max left when they closed. It's funny and almost amazing how every Staples looks almost exactly the same. This one looks just like the Staples at Pacific Commons in Fremont, which opened only a few years ago. I'm not entirely sure why Staples decided to open another store in Fremont (perhaps the Fremont Downtown Projects that are being developed over the next few years has given them some incentive), but they have. I used to go to Staples for all my office needs... but I'm never coming back. There was a deal on a ream of paper... 8.99 in store and when you submit the "easy rebate" you get 7.99 back on a prepaid visa card, so you essentially would only pay $1 per ream. WELL! I submitted the rebate online and 2 days later I received an email back saying that the rebate was invalid and did not provide a reason. SO! I went back to the store and I asked the cashier for help and he said he could not help me because "it is beyond my pay scale." wow... so the other cashier nearby (the cashier named Melissa who originally rang me up for the rebate and said there would be no problem) said with an attitude "whats the problem?" So I tell her what happened and she just told me to call the customer service number. Here I am, 30 mins into the phone call, and this is my 4th time being put on hold and the rep just came back to "check on me since you've been on hold for a while" Things they've already told me were to go back to the store because they can't help me since the original transaction was done in store. (I'm just going to take you through the whole process with me because I'd like you to know how frustrated I am) AND NOW the rep just told me to call the "rebate team" and I asked what happens if they're not able to fix this and she says they will, they have control over it. Why couldn't you give me the number before you put me on hold for 5 times for over 40 minutes? SO! Now I am on the phone with the rebate team and it takes me through multiple prompts for 5 minutes before I was put on hold for another 3 minutes until a representative picked up and they asked me a series of questions and put me on hold and didn't even explain anything to me. ANNNDD they just hung up on me. Theres no way that I'm going through this again. Im just going to return he products. They don't deserve my business anymore.
