Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Ryan and the printing crew at La Habra. I called to ask for discounted posters for yard signs for some of our graduating Seniors in the La Habra and Whittier area. Ryan was amazing and stated he would do all of them for free. He made all 19 pictures in in about an hour and when I arrived he surprised me with both a glossy and matte picture. These were 11x17!! This place is frustrating. I don't understand why you have employees in the print and copy center that can do absolutely nothing for the customers. Everything now is self service. I have to email my pages to you and then I print them out my self. I'm not saying this is a hard task but why have employees that cant do this for paying customers. I'm not stupid but if my grandmother was to walk into this place she would not be able to figure this out. Not helpful at all. and to print one page it cost me .20 cents and you have to use a debit or credit card. they wont let you pay cash for a .20cent page. Just seems dumb. Edit: Staples now has HELD my money for SEVEN DAYS. Still no refund. Of course they CHARGED me instantly. What a horrible, deceitful, deceptive way to do business. This company has NO INTEGRITY. While the helpful and earnest people in store have always been good to deal with, this is just another example of B&M stores that have outlived their usefulness. One Hour pickup? A FANTASTIC idea in theory, but in reality nothing but basic retail bait and switch - and frankly it's deceptive, and misleading. Not ONE time has my order been ready within an hour, not once. Not once even TWO hours. When you go in to pick up, the poor folks who work here have no idea what to do. Expect to use many expletives before giving up while trying to understand the barely audible "customer support" person the store people call on for help. Amazon knows how to do this. click. Deliver. This is a brand new Staples where Barnes and Nobles used to be. So why the high rating? 1. All the employees seem as though they want to be there. 2. The place is clean and they aren't out of anything. 3. Managers are visible and run a tight ship. 4. All are friendly and eager to help. 5. It sorta sucks, lacks many useful items or those pesky desired items you need that moment and it's severely overpriced in comparison to Wal-Mart, Costco, Craigslist deals and so on. I mean... I seem to literally have to get office supplies once a week sometimes twice a week. I have used office depot in Fullerton (unfriendly staff and disorganized store) and I have used the Staples in Brea (super friendly staff, but sometimes very busy). Anyhoo, this has been my go to Staples for about a year, and the staff is so friendly, especially the two managers. Everyone is so helpful, and they always know where things are located in the store, whenever i go i literally just find one and give him my list and have them write down the lanes for everything I need. I haven't used the phone repair service that they offer, but knowing my wife and her issues with her phone it's likely that we will try those as well. read more

What's the point of having a retail store if the sales associates are not customer service oriented, appear disinterested, not focused, and basically unwilling to answer questions or demo their products? I don't get it. I really don't understand.... I went there today to seek information about possibly purchasing a new tablet. This Staples replaced the out-of-business Barn and Nobles as people don't buy books in store anymore. Not trying to sound mean but the same thing applies for Staples (and Best Buy) in general. I only come here when there are good deals in store. Staples kind of know that and they do offer deals every once in a while. Service wise, pretty good, not excellent. But I can't blame the associates though, it's a big store with only a few employees. The reason is probably because this is a "dead spot" of the whole shopping strip with very low traffic. Check Out is Horrible... They have absolutely no knowledge about anything or just simply don't care. Been There a Few Times Only Because Everywhere Else Around was Closed At the Moment. Rhonda the manager is awesome! She was able to save me money by researching items for me & she 's great with customers. Very unprofessional, I ordered some business cards on 2/21 they were supposed to be ready on 2/22 at 8pm, I didnt receive an email or a call to tell me if they are ready. I called the store and they said the paper cutter broke and my cards wont be ready! (They could of called me to let me know!) Today is 2/23 its 2pm and I still have not heard from them! I called and asked for the manager and he says they are still printing them and the paper cutter is broken and he can not give me a day when they will be ready, because the person working on them is on break! Walked into this Staples looking for a specific item that I hadn't been able to find at other stores. The first employee I saw I asked to help me find this book & he told me that they don't carry them. I was a little annoyed at how hard its been locating this item in stores, I thought for sure Staples would carry it since it's just for a college class. Anyway, as I was walking out of the store another employee approached me asking if I found everything I needed? I said no I was told that the item I need you do not carry. He took me to his computer, entered the item description and then told me I could pay for the item and have it shipped directly to my house, for free! I was so happy that this employee took the time to help me and now my daughters book will be delivered to my doorstep tomorrow, free of charge. I needed party invitations printed for my son's birthday party, so I requested an order online. The following day, when I was expecting to pick it up, I got a call saying they couldn't print them because of copyright infringement. I was irritated, but was patient because the staff offered an acceptable solution. When I got to the store, Eric, a copy center employee, was very nice and walked me through all of the steps necessary to get my needs met AND cut my documents for me so I wouldn't have to try to accomplish said task with a 2 year old. He did all of this with a smile. Unfortunately, that positive attitude is becoming harder to find in retail, but Eric was very nice and made my shopping experience better. Thank you! read more

Even though I had the copyright release statement and paperwork regarding a copy job and tried to explain this over the phone, the manager would not hear me out. She was really rude and short with me. I've used Staples many times in years past for copy/print services. After speaking with Staples Customer Service, I've been taken care of and will have my print job completed at the Whittier location. If you run into the manager of print services at the Staples in La Habra that couldn't care less if you complained, I suggest calling Customer Service and going through them. I went today because one of my employees desk top computer workstation, his video card started failing. I'm going to purchase a video card and the man Said $80. I asked him since I'm a little familiar with computer products, do you price match? We waited over half an hour to be helped just to find ink. We had our numbers and ready to pick it out and pay but no one ever came to help us. They called on the intercom 3 times for someone to help us in the ink department and no one came. I even walked up to the checkout counter, to talk to the associates who weren't busy at all, and weren't doing a thing. So I asked them if we could have helping getting ink and, she called for someone to come help us instead of attempting to help and with attitude I must add. And no one came. So instead we left. This past weekend before coming here my father called to see if they had laptop in stock which was on sale, he also asked if we could a coupon with it and the sales associate on the phone named Victoria said yes. So we get to the store we get assistance from a girl there she goes to get the laptop and we give her the coupon and she says we can't use it. So we tell her we called before coming and apparently she's the one we spoke to but there's no way of knowing since she did bother to wear a name tag and looked sloppy. Blown away. I ordered my daughter's first birthday invites online to pick up in store. When I picked up the order the color was just not what I expected. I was not happy. The rep was very understanding and tried to fix fo my desire but because it was my own imagine he was not able to fix it. He offered a refund and suggested I resubmit order. I submitted the order last night and just left the store. The image was perfect. The customer service was exceptional. The reason why I'm leaving a 1 star review for a location I generally never had a problem with is because today I felt discriminated against. I went in to buy my usual supplies but my debit card has been acting up lately and was giving me problems. So I let the sales associate Rosalie H. know that I will be paying in cash. I gave her a few $20s and she then proceeded to check every single bill. I couldn't help but feel like my race had something to do with it especially since I've never had a problem with this staples up until this point.
