I don't personally understand the low rating. I've been to this store many times and I've never had an issue, on the contrary I've received great service. Today I had a cashier who have me a coupon that I didn't know existed, I saved 20% off an item that I would have otherwise paid full price for! Also, one time I was helping a friend whose daughter was missing and they donated 100 full color copies, no charge! Any store that does that has my repeat business on lock. But i still left my note there and told them if it can be done by next day. And they said they would call me but they never did. This Staples is clean and in a great location in LaVerne. With that being said, this place is seriously lacking competent staff and management. The store is clean and well organized but when it comes time to check out, it takes a very long time to find anyone to help you. And if their is a cash register already open, the poor employee seems to never get any help from other staff members. I would think if you have more than 6 people standing in line, you should probably get things moving along. Bad customer service and thiefs. Associate tried to ring me up with no success after waiting in line for about 10-15 minutes. Cash register could not read-my credit card chip so they switch me to another teller. First teller total was for $42.20 (about 6 items), second teller total was $56.54 for the exact same times. I asked the second associate (Cameron) what was going on with my total on the EXACT SAME ITEMS. Cameron could not EXPLAIN why 2 minutes earlier it was a total different price. Supervisor CHRISTINE was not helpful and looked confused about how to remedy the situation. I ended up at Target paying much less for the same items. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED. The store is clean and well organized, with a good selection of items. The staff is always friendly. The employees that work in the Copy Center are especially nice. I have had a couple, "I need this asap" orders and they took care of it for me and were incredibly helpful. They also do what they can to make things right. A while ago I placed a big order and was told it would be done in 2 days. Unfortunately, there was a mixup and they "lost" my job. I went in to resubmit and they had it for me that night. I know that accidents happen, but I appreciated them working their butt's off (and they had to work their butt's off) to make sure I was a satisfied customer. The reason for the 2-star deduction is that the prices advertised are wrong on occasion. I was just there today and I was charged a higher price at the register than what the price tag said for two items. It wasn't by large amounts, but it still should not happen. read more

She was super patient with my stubborn flash drive and showed me each of my 4 documents once they came out to ensure I was happy with them. Just ask for help getting a Smartphone repaired and start making a long list of their excuses on how they cannot help you. It is not a phone we can fix, it's the wrong color, we are short-staffed. I'm just sad that this particular Staples didn't carry the 8.5 x 11 filler paper that I came to buy, despite listing that there were 28 available reams online. I had an unfortunate return that was causing problems. I had insurance on the cordless headset. There was a problem with the return & the insurance I purchased. And at the Staples is in a great location it's right by target and restaurants. There are deals such as instant save and rebate at staples stores as well as official website. Be careful about the rebate because it takes some effort to get your checks, I wouldn't try debate again at staples because I have nut received the rebate for the most extensive item I bought here. The employees here are very friendly, however, they handle store based issues better than orders from the website, so If you see a deal from website, and call the number on the website to confirm instead of asking for help at a local store. THE ONLY REASON, AND I MEAN THE ONLY REASON I am giving this place even 2 stars is because of the management. Her name is Theresa and the only saving grace to my experience. I walk in around 4:45 pm and walk up to the copy center..NO ONE says a word to me. After 5 minutes of standing like an idiot finally someone asks me if I need anything..well duh. I explain to him that I need three reverse images to put on a tshirt, he immediately rolls his eyes and says "So you really need this done...like right now".. like I am sorry but last time I checked this is staples. That is one of your services. I explain to him yes I need that. He says, "Oh well I mean I guess..I have a huge order before you where is your flash drive?" I immediately realize I left it in the car and I hurry to get it because he says he can try and do it real quick. I am gone about 30 seconds and come back and the guy ignores me..slowly walks over and takes my flashdrive and he is like.."oh well time is of the essence I told you..so I have a big order I can't do it" Are you fucking kidding me dude? I am sorry you hate your job but come on. He was a complete dick. So rude and unprofessional. I walk up to the cashier and ask her where another staples is because I do not have time for this. The manager was very kind and apologized, asked what happened, said she would talk to him, gave me directions and a 5$ discount. Called twice during the day was told nobody could help me until after 6:00. Finally talked to someone at 6:15 and was told it would definitely be ready by 8;00. I come to Staples frequently to make copies and the Copy & Print center and the service is always great. Over the weekend, I decided to bring my computer to the Stapes Easy Tech center since it wasn't working. The first associate to help me was Matthew. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and helped me figure out what was wrong with my computer. I brought it back the next day and Angel was the person who actually worked on my computer. People here are not professional. They will tell you they will call when it's done and never call, they'll tell you the file is in your flash drive, charge you and, guess what? Been here before for some project I needed for my DIY weeding Decoration. And Today I had a really important paper to print (10 pages) at first lady said it was not gonna be possible due to having to scan some papers that would last 3 days. I was like no way!. Already giving up she offer her help with the printers on the side and at first they were printing wrong with a white line in the middle. Was getting disappointed. I had to buy some color paper for Halloween and Staples saved the day. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because its more expensive to buy things like this than other places. I picked a a Toshiba S555 laptop because rep promised and gave me a store coupon for $140. Receives the invoice and applied for the Staples credit card. Contact customer service, headquarters, and billing office to get the $140.00 credit and the company said they advertised it but will not honor it since it was reduced. Outstanding customer service! Everyone and I mean EVERY associate of the Copy and Print staff at Staples has been exceptional. Very courteous, they will acknowledge you as soon as you stand at the counter even when they are helping someone else. Extremely knowledgeable, I needed to print out a homework assignment from a flash drive for my son. I had saved it in the wrong format -of course- and it was not printing out properly. I was pressed for time and could not go home to redo it, Annie came to the rescue figured out a way to print it and also because it was in book form folded stapled and cut it precisely for me. My 85 year old mother purchased a wireless home phone from Staples, one month later, I installed it, but we quickly realized that the phone display was too small to see, (even by me). We found a model with a bigger display and wanted to exchange the product, the teller and manager refused because they have a 2 week return policy. Imagine, refusing an 85 year old, who acting in good faith and good consumerism as simple Exchange of good. Well, they did.. and they have bought off both of us as potential buyers in the future. Staples, can you really afford to buy off customers for $50 items? Is that really where your priorities lie? Wouldn't it behoove you to have sold her one that she cold see to begin with? Do you remember when business used to care about the customer? Well, today this company saved my day. You see... My son is special needs, and I had set out to print some photos of his teachers to attach to ornaments for Christmas gifts. The kids are going on winter break soon, and the urgency to finish this project is very near. I first went to Target where the kiosk to develop photos wasn't connecting to the internet. The customer service agent was at least polite enough to inform me (and the nice lady behind me) that "she can't even" right now. So after wasting a half hour, I drove to another location and the same thing happened. It was going to be one of those days that nothing went right. I was frustrated, but also determined to do something nice for my son's wonderful teachers. So I went to staples unsure that I could even print photos there. My phone had died from searching locations and trying to connect to kiosks, but the staff let me use their outlet. The man helping me came off of his break to help me download and print my small sheet of photos. It took a while, but both he and the lady with him were joking and polite. In the end he gave me the print and told me happy holidays. That it would be his gift to us for having such a bad day. People don't often think of my son and I, or how much harder it is for us than many families. When I got in my car I actually almost cried. Not that I saved a few cents, but that there are still some kind people in the world that care and will do a job well just because it will make someone else happy. Kalina did not give us good customer service at the printing counter. We were trying to print cards for a funeral and it was clear that is what they were when you looked at the paper we wanted to make copies of. My mother was stressed out and still grieving and she asked if they had any other colors to print on and she said, "We have white." My mother wanted cream color and after watching her walk to the huge assortment of different colored papers I spoke up and asked if she had cream again. She replied, "um let me check... Yeah we do it's going to cost more though and I would have to reprint the order ticket." She did not handle this situation well, she made it seem like it was an inconvenience to her that we wanted to do a different color even though we had asked her before she printed the ticket if they had other colors. She was rushing and didn't seem to care about our order, she just wanted to get it done. She made this whole process harder for us and my mother just settled because she didn't want to deal with the lack of kindness displayed by your employee. read more

I run a small business and as a business owner I'm always in need of the copy and printing centers help/suggestions. Coming here is always a pleasant experience. They are friendly and accurate. I see three associates here all the time. Annie is the most friendliest persons I've ever came across at a business location. She is beyond helpful and is a great asset to this company. Next is Alyssa and Ozzie they are also very helpful and very courteous. If you are in this staples and need a hand these are the three people on staff that will do a great job! I used to love Staples, which is why I didn't think twice to get my book bound here. Unfortunately, it was a HUGE mistake :( Never in my life have I experienced such a terrifying binding nightmare! I bought a paperback book of about 300 pages for one of my classes; it cost around 120 dollars. Since I started using it I knew I was going to need to get it spiral bound - its just easier for me and if its done well it stays in better shape for longer, in my opinion. Anyway, I get there and they say they're swamped and to come back the next day around noon and the job would be done. It wasn't ideal but I left it thinking my patience would be rewarded in the end. Wrong. I come back at noon the next day, they have a hard time finding it. Finally they found it. Just in time for my group study session. I take my book out, (try to) turn to Section 3, page 49. I cant find it!! AHH! It was a moment of sheer fear!! I turn through the pages of my book and everything is out of order! Section 1, Section 2, Section 3... I run back to Staples where I find some lady yelling at some poor fellow behind the desk over at Printing. Her order was messed up too, I guess. There was a huge line, orders were pending, other people were coming back for their orders and they weren't ready; people were upset. It was utter CHAOS. Its my turn and I am calm, even apologetic and explained to him what happened. He had the book unbound (he took the spiral thingy out) and he had me put all the pages back in order. Once it was in order I realized how horrible it was. The first 25 pages were in order with the holes on the right side. However, THE OTHER 275 were HOLE-PUNCHED on the WRONG SIDE :( I was devastated. I know it wasn't this poor guy's fault; and he really did try - he did everything he could to help me, bless him. But the evening was lost. 5 hours standing around like an idiot at Staples. My Finals were the next day. And not to mention my book was MUTILATED. Not a good day. Im sorry Staples in La Verne, but that day you brought shame to the company. And to the unfortunate boy that had to put up with all that junk that day, all I can say is that you are great and you should probably find another Staples. They don't deserve you! read more

I have NEVER had a good experience in any Staples. La Verne, Pomona before it closed, Glendora, Covina. Today need daily calendars for day planner type folder. They have none. Whole display almost empty. Even the Avery area-Walmart in construction had the same Avery products and so much cheaper!!!! I so miss my Office Depot in San Dimas!!!!!!! There is no where else.
