Staples is a convience when it comes to printing and getting large supplies for work. I didn't interact with anyone today, just went right to the printing machine to print some papers for work. Everything seemed put together despite all the craziness that has been happening lately. I guess people really don't have a need to go to Staples. Since I was in the office yesterday, I came by this place to buy and refill my ink for my printer at home. Since they are part of retail stores in this massive shopping mall, parking is not an issue. However since COVID back in March, I noticed that the inks to some of the printers especially Epson were scarce no matter which Staples one has gone. I walked in and the store was clean where directional arrows were marked on the floor as social distancing is enforced here. Luckily I managed to find what I came for which a staff wanted to check if I had everything what I was looking for. The check-out was quick and I opted to have my receipt sent via email to save a tree. read more

Customer service is not recognized here. It's unfortunate that this location is so close to home, yet when I come here they're always super slow or the service is substandard like today. Their process to have something printed from your phone is horrible, now I have to drive to the FedEx store in south Plainfield, where I know the process won't give me a headache & the customer service is stellar. read more

I took my laptop to the Staples "experts" and they kept it for a week only to tell me they ran a diagnosis which dropped midway, meaning the computer was over heating and to just get a new laptop. I was told the diagnosis would be perform but I was told it would only take 1-2 days. A week later am calling until the tech answers and he says to me that he is over worked. He has to take the computers, run diagnostics, and help on the floor; in his words "I don't have time to do this quicker am over worked". This staples is completely understaffed and it's not the 1st time am told they don't have time to perform what should be a simple task. Big, spacious, huge chair department. I came in for that exactly, but the one chair I had my eyes on was wheeled off in another woman's cart. Sigh. I had to go all the way to Iselin for the one I wanted. However, the staff at Staples helped me every step of the way and convinced me to go with my gut rather than settling on a less attractive model. What pals. This location is in the middle of a big shopping center so if you can't find your stuff here, move on to Target, Home Depot, Dollar Store, or maybe even Marshalls. I've been to this copy and print center in the past and my experiences haven't been too good, as far as customer service goes....So I was sorta dreading having to go today to print out music for a rehearsal later and it happens to be the closest to home. Sales people are friendly but clueless. I needed a printer and asked for help. Their "trained professional" read the card on the front of each printer just like I would have. Eventually sent me home with the wrong printer. He told me it was wireless. After hours trying to get my laptop to recognize it I found out it was not WiFi capable. I have to say thank you to German for an excellent customer service. He turned my bad experience to better one. The Staples copy and print staffs who handled my project, in the beginning, did not take it very seriously. One hundred and nine wedding menus were printed incorrectly twice. The third time was a success, thanks to German! He made sure the menus were printed correctly and did an excellent job cutting them. The bride was very pleased with her wedding menus. Staples in Linden need more employees like German. read more

As many others have commented, customer service stinks. I needed a "computer chair." I found the chair/desk area. I located a salesperson. He was talking to, who I assumed, was another customer. He dismissed me with a wave over to the chairs. Long and the short of it, I didn't know how many rows of chairs were on the floor. There were other chairs available for 1/2 the price. I went back to the original salesperson, listened to the "customer's" conversation, and realized he was just shooting the breeze. He wouldn't rise from his portly posterior. Another salesperson helped, and she wasn't much better. This place is fine for buying printer refills, paper, anything you can find on your own. Otherwise, beware! read more
