I only came in here to get paperwork faxed. I was welcomed immediately and they were ready to help me get in & out quickly. I also purchased an ink cartridge for my printer at home and they knew exactly what I was looking for, I didn't even get a chance to go into the toner & ink aisle! -So one day i decided to take a chance and said to myself, how hard can a simple screen repair really be? They have a big sign outside their store that says "We Fix Cellphones".....They DO NOT, at least not in a timely manner, or at a professional quality level at all...do not fall for it, i made the biggest mistake of my life of bringing in my cellphone, it was a nightmare. -Came in with a Samsung Galaxy S6 with a broken screen, Greeted by "Luis", sure enough most cell phone repair shops has this taken care of within a few hours tops...one good thing they did was price matched for me so that saved like 20 bucks, that is why i didn't mind when they said it'll be done in a few days (even that is pretty long for a screen repair) after they said they couldn't repair in a few hours...ok fine. A few days past, i called in to check the status of my cell phone, as i was instructed to do, first they said they didn't know of my phone, what?!?! then later found out it was outsourced to get repaired and it was going to take another week to get it back! None of this was informed to me prior btw. I'm usually pretty calm, but this was ridiculous ....long story short, this happened for another week and a half!.....kept giving me bogus stories and the run-a-round....so almost 2 1/2 weeks without a cell phone! Finally i spoke to a manager and said my phone came in after almost 3 weeks, finally! Keep in mind i work in Camarillo and i commute from the San Fernando Valley so going back for my cell phone numerous times was a hassle...... -So i come in to get my phone, upon receiving it, the screen was not even 100% on, the backing was fully replaced by some cheap chinese part, so obviously something broke and they had to wait for parts to come in to replace it, none of this was informed to me prior either, but that wasn't it, my SIM CARD WAS MISSING, MY SIM CARD DOOR WAS BROKEN UPON RECEIVING A "REPAIRED PHONE", WHO THE HELL DOES THIS?!!! I've been to repair shops where nothing happened to my sim card even after leaving it for a few days, this was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL PERIOD!....So i had wait another full week and a half to get my phone back..... Almost a MONTH and finally i get my cell phone back, still not 100% fixed...AND I HAD TO GO BUY MY OWN SIM CARD BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T PURCHASE ONE FOR ME......after expressing my frustrations to the General Manager, i had a full refund for my god-awful experience....THE LEAST THEY CAN DO...because of them i lost a promotion at work, i work with social media, marketing and things like that.....that's not even the point, the point is i would gladly pay for a service of my cell phone in a timely professional manner, but this wasn't the case.....So do yourself a favor and ignore that sign they have outside....I still haven't gone back for my sim card refund.... I came in earlier this week to make some color copies for work. I was greeted by Sara who informed me the color copier was down but the self serve copier would be able to do the same thing. She walked me through every step of making my copies and was very pleasant to deal with. I work for a customer service company and she is exactly what a customer wants to experience. She was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure I printed my copies correctly. Take note, this is what a customer service is all bout. read more

I hardly ever write reviews but I was so disappointed by the customer service here. I wanted to print color invitations and the printers were "acting up" There was one poor women trying to serve the three people in line in front of me and the three people in line behind me. I know the woman was doing the best she could but three other employees were just hanging around and chatting by the register. While I was waiting for the printer to "warm up" there was no one on the floor to answer my envelope questions. When I interrupted the cashiers talking I practically had to answer my own question as they did not exert any effort to help. After a long long while I did get the invitations and the woman was very apologetic. This location needs customer service training! read more

I made a visit to get paper and I noticed that the multi-purpose paper was on sale with rebates for $2. The male cashier rung me up for $21 for 2 reams of printing paper and 2 packs college-ruled paper. I asked about how the rebates work and he seemed not know how their advertised rebate worked. First I asked how long it takes to get the rebate. He said "it just takes a few minutes." I was a little puzzled as why they didn't just do instant rebates. But, they just sell the paper right? Anyways, when I asked for instructions on how to get the rebates or what to do, he just automatically said go to Staples.com. I wanted to make sure I had all the proper paper/receipts or digits I need to submit my rebate and he just handed me the receipt and he gen later realized that I can either mail it in or do it online. Then I will get the rebate in a gift card to staples, which I'll be forced to make another visit. I'm not even sure if that's how it actually works because he's convinced me hat he doesn't know what he's talking about. read more

Staples has a TERRIBLE return policy. I purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse for 80.00 on 7-18-10. It died on 8-16-10. The little usb connection burnt out - I could smell it and the keyboard and mouse would not work. I tried to return in on 8-18-10 and they told me that their return policy was 14 days - even if the item was DEFECTIVE! They said I could have purchsed a service contract (probably another $25) then I would be covered. What ripoff!! This item was DEFECTIVE. I will never shop there again. Incidentally , I had a receipt and just wanted to exchange it for a good one. read more

First time I came to this store, they pushed their rewards card program on me so hard it was as if their life depended on it. They simply wouldn't take no for an answer. Felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. Today I came in to return a gift I got for christmas, a $28 laptop lapdesk unused and unopened. They scanned it and told me it wasn't on the receipt. Alright fine, sometimes cash registers make mistakes like this. However, take one look at the receipt yourself and you can see it clearly listed in english. It even had the SKU code on the receipt, which exactly matched the last 5 digits of the barcode on the item. So surely they could still make the return, right? Nope. They told me the item was scanning at $3, so that was the best they could do for the refund despite it being explicitly listed at $28 on the receipt. You ever seen an XL laptop lap desk be sold for $3? Me neither. Also haven't seen such incompetent customer service as this in a while. Avoid this store if you think you might ever need to return something you buy here, or if you don't like having things forcibly shoved down your throat, like customer "rewards" programs. read more

This is the worst Staples in Ventura County. It's dirty. DIRTY. We just went to do some printing in the copy center and the woman was SO RUDE. I mean...REALLY RUDE. I also wanted to try and help my father purchase a new printer, and after several minutes of roaming around the printer aisle, I went to the front to ask if someone could help. She said she'd send someone over and for the next 20 minutes three employees stood just a few aisles away screwing around, and not a single person ever came to help us. THEN my father's credit card set off a security alert as we went to check out, and I was responding to their text confirming the purchase was OK, but the woman checking him out wasn't patient enough to wait for 30 seconds to rerun the card, and she looked at me and said "I think his card is bad or expired." LOUDLY. Nothing wrong with the card. No customer service. VERY RUDE copy center person. Filthy store. read more

Ok, so after visiting this store a couple of times after the last review, I have had many great cashiers help me out. I guess the grumpy girl was fired lol. Ok so today, I called this Staples to ask if they had any of the (item) left. The cashier said "we only have 1 left, but I can hold it til u get here if u promise to pick it up like right now." I was like whattt? Lol. I've never had any worker offer that before, unless I ask them to please do it for me. So I get there in a flash & the employee who answered my call runs to get the (item) & rings me up. I was there for like 2min, but that was enough for me to make me change my review. I will definitely be coming to this store more often :) read more

Customer service here is non-existent. I send to print all printed media for our company and I have tried several times to work with them because their price for some prints is less than others. However, I can never get a hold of anyone for price quotes and they do not return phone calls. If I even dare to go there in person there is usually a line of about 4 or 5 people and 1 person working the print center trying to do the copies/prints and help the customers. Once I finally get to the desk it takes about 10 - 15 minutes to finalize my order then I get told a time to come back when it should be ready. I said "should be" because it never is. In fact they sent one of my time sensitive projects to another store because their machine was broken, and they did not even notify me or try to get it back before the day they told me it would be ready, I show up and its still at the other store (in Camarillo) and tell me I can go there and pick it up! NO! I ordered it here in Oxnard. Just terrible service all around. I am done with this place. read more

I came into staples the other day looking for a phone case and a young man named Edgar helped me find the perfect case. He also informed me about cellphone screen repair, so I brought in my cousins phone and he fixed it 100%! His service was extremely amazing.
