We went here to return our old and broken printer for recycling. They actually do have someone who knows how to take the product to be properly deposed of .... So if you're environmentally friendly this is a good place to take your old and/or useless electrics. They don't take ALL electronics but they do take printers! read more

Staples had a good selection of office chairs. We were not hassled while we shopped, which it made it easy to find the right one. Upon selection, Isaiah provided excellent customer service. He was very attentive to workflow, while carrying on a conversation. Great store and employees! read more

Bad experience with passport photos . Argued with, forced into different rules on appearance with hair and jewelry than the website for passport photos. Not allowed to see picture before processed. Terrible picture that looks nothing like me. Wasted $16.23 and time. Very unprofessional. Will have to have redone. read more

Very underwhelming experience at this Staples yesterday. I wish I was a corporate secret shopper, so that they'd actually care about my experience. Here's the highlights (or perhaps lowlights) of the trip: The purpose of my trip: make one copy from my USB drive. Is there someone working in the Copy section: No Do I have to wait more than 3 minutes for someone to help me: Yes When it is printed, is the quality good: Not exactly. I was printing out a coupon, the actual size of which is about 3" x 3" However, the person assisting me chose to blow it up to fill the 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. It was close enough, I took it, but parts of it were barely legible. I think if she had bothered to apply critical thinking to the task, or to ask me questions to clarify my order, this could have had a better outcome. Does the employee ring me up? She looks at the register, looks like she is going to help me, and says "why don't you just go up to the front, she'll help you there." So I end up waiting in line, behind a lady with a shopping cart full of stuff. The cashier doesn't even start with the items, because she is helping the customer look at the details of a 50 cent mail-in rebate. Seriously. The person who had helped me turns out to be the Assistant Manager. She comes to the front and answers the phone. (There's nothing I hate more than a manager who tries to be above checking people out.) The person on the phone wants directions to the store,, the assistant manager puts the customer on hold to ask the cashier for help with this difficult question. The customer has more questions, the assistant manager puts her on hold,and complains about the customer. It's one thing to complain about or mock a customer when you're good at your job, it's a whole other thing when you're not doing so hot yourself... How long do I wait before the assistant manager finally checks me out? Not sure- but way too long for my ten cent purchase. Overall, this shopping trip should have taken 2 minutes total. With both Office Max and Office Depot within a one mile radius, this will not be my first choice. read more

Needed to have some special invitations printed so I brought my USB and the clerk got to work. When I got my invitations, I noticed there was a spot in the same place on every single print. Now, I can't say with 100% certainty, but I'm pretty darn sure that my blank invitations didn't show up like that and that the problem was most likely attributed to dirty copy machine glass that probably hadn't been wiped down. read more

I have always found what I needed for my home office at the Rockwall staples. The customer service is great. I have used the copy services and the laminating service. On Monday my cashier was Jo Wetler. She did a great job. I will continue to be a customer at the Rockwall Staples. read more

I'm generally a Office Depot/max shopper, and after my experience today.. I will continue to be. My little one was getting antsy in the car, and we needed printer ink so I stopped in. We have a new printer and I'm not sure if my specs were right. I ask for help from the kid behind the counter, who looked at me like I had three heads before he called for help. After standing in the ink aisle for 25min with no help, my 4yr old daughter looked up at me and said "mommy, does anyone work here?"... y'all got called out by a 4yr old. We left, went to office depot and got the help we needed. read more

Awesome experience at this Staples. I'm glad I'm not a corporate secret shopper because I don't have time for that and I really don't think that I need some sort of perceived power to lord over people. But she took the time to greet me and said she'd be with me shortly. Do I have to wait more than 3 minutes for someone to help me: I don't know, I didn't time the employee. Besides she was working and I trusted her to get to me as soon as she could. When she did get to me, she was polite and knowledgeable. She listened to what I wanted and made a recommendation. I accepted her recommendation and she downloaded my thumb drive. Then she had the nerve to tell me I'd have to wait two hours before I could met my one copy because there were other people with jobs in front of mine. I told her that I was leaving but I'd be back tomorrow to pick up the print job. I learned to wait my turn in kindergarten. When it is printed, is the quality good: Yes, it was very good, but the person assisting me blew it up to fill a 2' x 3' sheet of paper. Wow, that's big. But of course it's what I asked for because we took the time to talk about what I wanted before she ran the print job. Does the employee ring me up? No, because she's busy. She has other print jobs to do. So I take mine to the check out registers and talk to the guy there. So I end up waiting in line, behind a lady who was there before me. The cashier even has the nerve to ask the lady if she has a Staple Rewards account. Because he's taking care of that customer. Seriously. The person who had helped me turns out to be another human being. So we engage in polite conversation. He asks me if I found everything, if I was happy with the print shop, and if I had a Staples Rewards account. That must have taken a whole minute of my precious time. (There's a lot more things than I hate more than people taking my time by engaging me in polite conversation; tornadoes, traffic jams, the flu, the Taliban -- there's probably more.) How long do I wait before the assistant manager finally checks me out? Not sure because I don't keep people on a stopwatch - but not to long for my $20 purchase. Can you believe that, $20 for one piece of paper. But then again it was a 6 sq ft, five color, topographic map printed on waterproof paper. Overall, this shopping trip took as long as it took -- 2 days. But I was so happy with their performance I went back a couple months later to have another topographic map printed. read more

Store hours SUCKS, really need to change. Every store in that area was open, This staples is the only one open late and close early!!! Seen 29 customers walk off between 11:30 to 12 pm Sunday and 6 customers stand in front of the door while it was HOT (93 degrees) weather for them to open. REALLY SUCKS!!! read more

Well I had brought books in to be bound and one book was perfect t but the other was terrible, I was upset but the manager not only paid for the book he gave me money have it bound again. Great customer service:) ty! read more

I would rate a - 1 star if I could. SO frustrated with my experience and here today. Their payment system was down. Three people on various lines had been rejected before me, but no one realized what was going on. The manager came over to try to help. We ran through two different cards a credit and a debit just in case. Nope, neither one. My purchase was $2.70. A package of pushpins. I told home I'd just write a check and he could approve it. He replied "that's not how that works. We can try it, but if it doesn't go through, it doesn't go through". By then I'd been trying to pay for the stupid push pins for over 10 minutes and I A really needed them and B was on a deadline. The manager refused d to take any meaningful action. I left and went to a Office Depot. Staples had been my favorite. No more. read more

If you want to print pictures...or really anything. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The customer service is HORRIBLE! I have spent good money printing items for my business and pictures here. All of a sudden I've had multiple problems starting this week. Due to one young kid working in the printing area. First he could not print out invitations for me, he said his system duplicated them and they are not formatting correct and he can't do anything for me, and that I need to contact whoever made the invitations to fix it. I went up to Staples the next day and a girl was able to help me no problem. I just don't understand why is he so quick to turn customers away. I hope his manager is aware of the business he is turning away! Then I try to print out a few pictures of my daughter from a Mini photo shoot. I have the photographers website with A CODE to get in to access my pictures and this guy refuses to print my pictures without "A Release Form." Wow! If I wasn't allowed to print out photos, then why do I have a code to RELEASE MY PICTURES! It's not worth the time and stress to go to Staples anymore! I will definitely be finding somewhere else to print my photos and business information. And I would recommend everyone else stay away unless you want to deal with this kid not being able to help you and tell you "I can't help you, I'm sorry about that." read more

This location has the most inept and unhelpful manager I've ever seen. The first time I met him I thought he was a floor salesperson when I came in asking for a Staples brand pen, he said they didn't carry it and has never seen one. I walked him over and showed him it was a Staples pen and then he went back to check to see if they had any in the back, came back and said they show one box in inventory but that sometimes that's wrong (it was obvious the lazy guy didn't want to look) and treated me as if I was taking up his valuable time. I later went to another location and bought five boxes when I received help. The second time we returned an expensive rising desk and the cashier went to get her manager...this guy. I figured he learned some policies and procedures and stopped being lazy but I was wrong. He made my wife and I feel like we were trying to steal from them because we were trying to return a "sealed box" which made no sense. Anyway, the two other employees watching starting shaking their head when realizing the ineptitude of their leader and his inability to help a customer. You're better off driving to the next block and buying from their competitor. read more

Should be 0 stars. Unbelievably nightmarish of a "shopping experience". Went in to buy a simple office chair at Staples in Rockwall, TX on Saturday. Purchased the office chair and paid in cash. They said that there are 3 pallets in front of the chair (which they were too lazy to move!) and they would deliver the chair to us. Well, it was after 6pm the following Tuesday and no chair was delivered so we called to cancel the order so we could buy one elsewhere as we were leaving to take our son to college in the morning and we therefore needed the chair for him before leaving. After being transferred 3 times we found someone who said that he would cancel the order for us that they had tried to deliver earlier in the day but no one was home. He said that they had to wait until the chair made it back to the warehouse (where ever that might be) before we could get a refund. They said that we would be notified (not sure how) when the chair was in the warehouse and at that time we could go to the store to get our cash refund or they would mail a check to us. REALLY?? So we the customer are to have no chair and be out the money that we paid for the chair for who knows how long because THEY were too LAZY to move a few pallets that THEY put in the wrong place apparently!!! Called the store back and spoke to "the manager" who told me the exact same thing! Unbelievable! AND, the manager tells us that the order has NOT been cancelled as they guy on the phone told us that it had. I then told the manager that I would make the drive to the store and pick the chair up. He said that I would have to pay for the chair again in order for them to give it to me and they would refund my second payment only when the chair reached the warehouse!! You can't make this up! They wanted me to pay TWICE for the chair and IF and when the first chair that we bought, made it to their "warehouse", they would refund our second payment. Told "the manager" that I was coming to see him so we could discuss this in person. He said, let me call you back in 5 minutes (which he never did of course). I walk out my door to drive to the store to discuss with "the manager" in person and who is pulling into my driveway but the staples delivery guy (who for the record was quite pleasant, professional and apologetic). Interestingly, he said that he had NOT attempted to deliver earlier as the guy on the phone told us. Said that we were his last delivery of the day. Complete apathy and indifference on everyone's part (with the notable exception of the delivery guy). Why buy here when there are so many better choices with better prices and most certainly better customer service than Staples in Rockwall, TX. I'll never darken the door again! read more
